10/08/2025: We returned this year, a very positive experience. (My 4-star rating has gone up to 5.) (I'm posting photos from last year and this year.) We opted for the fantastic raw tuna on a bed of mixed vegetables, dusted with cocoa and citrus. I don't usually try anything special, but I found it exceptional. I had a trio of tacos. I chose to have them all vegetarian, but there's the option of one with mixed vegetables, avocado, and guacamole; the second with chicken; and the third with shrimp. Very good. Finally, we shared some scampi, which were also excellent.

08/08/2025: An insider tip. Unassuming from the outside until you step into the garden. A very cozy spot, if you ignore the occasional honking of the commuter boats. Jack gave us some advice on how to have a fish, a wine, and anything else off the menu on the table. Excellent quality.

30/07/2025: A nice trattoria right on the canal (and on the main tourist street between Santa Lucia and San Marco). The outdoor seating is a surprise and, of course, pleasant. The food was good quality and reasonably priced. The service was rather mediocre.

03/09/2025: We had lunch at Restaurant Terrazza Danieli on September 2nd to celebrate my husband's birthday, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Although we arrived a little late, the welcome was warm and professional. We chose our meal à la carte (starter, main course, dessert), and everything was delicious, both in flavor and presentation. The sommelier recommended an exquisite wine, perfectly paired with our dishes—a real favorite. The setting is absolutely magnificent, with a breathtaking view of the Venetian Lagoon. A small, unusual but memorable detail: the presence of a falconer on the terrace to keep the pigeons away, allowing us to enjoy the moment in complete tranquility. A thoughtful gesture that was as elegant as it was effective! A big thank you to the entire team for this unforgettable experience. We recommend this place without hesitation, especially for a special occasion.

02/09/2025: A wonderful dining experience at Restaurant Terrazza Danieli. My partner and I dined at this lovely restaurant during our week in Venice. We had a leisurely dinner which took about 2.5hrs from start to finish. Every staff member was extremely attentive and informative. The restaurant itself has spectacular views any time of day. But we preferred our evening setting with the lights of the city below. The food itself is exceptional. The red prawn appetizer was delectable. However the stars of the evening were the scallops and the pastas. Truly crave-able and delicious. We are usually light eaters but availed ourselves of all the restaurant had to offer. We will visit every time we are back in Venice.

08/08/2025: I really liked it. The best place I've ever eaten in terms of price, flavor, and quality. Highly recommended. It's cool, even inside, with air conditioning, or you can sit at a small table outside. Reasonable prices. The service is top-notch. I'll definitely return to this place.

06/08/2025: One of my favorite dishes served to perfection. One of my favorite meals during my trip to Italy; staff accommodated me quickly with easy communication, followed by a well timed serving of the food in a beautiful sunset atmosphere in their comfortable seating. The aglio e olio was served warm with perfect emulsification, just the right balance of garlic and spice; delivers a great kick of heat without overwhelming flavor of spiciness.

05/07/2025: Very nice and pleasant place surrounded by nature. I stayed for 3 nights and I used the pool. The room was spacious, clean and air conditioned. The pool furniture was really nice and well kept, maybe the water in the afternoon was ruined a bit and there was no cleaning staff (bugs or leaves). Very good restaurants maybe a little expensive. I relaxed and had a great time. I will definitely go back.

12/06/2025: Beautiful rooms, a little small and without a bidet (I don't tolerate it in Italy), those who have a dog can't stay in the large rooms on the upper floor, by the way they are beautiful (I discovered in the facility that they had changed my room without warning me and giving me the chance to decide, they called me While we were going there and they didn't even start us there, I absolutely didn't appreciate not knowing it in the morning from the reception manager. And not at the time of booking or in any case during one of the phone calls, as I had my partner call to confirm the room. My partner has already stayed at the facility and knows what rooms are the large ones. and we wanted the ones we had booked. Apart from this inconvenience, the cleaning was excellent, the staff was polite and attentive in every situation (except when warning me) Excellent breakfast with homemade products of the highest quality. Trio of cakes., fresh fruit, various cheeses, classic butter and homemade jam, homemade bread? Fruit juice! Yogurt lean, muesli with dried fruit. Then there is the possibility of a cafeteria. They have a swimming pool for those who stay and an internal restaurant with a classic menu. I can only say for what has been reported that you eat well. Park to be able to walk in the middle of the truly wonderful greenery. It seems like being in a fairy tale... Animals such as horses, goats etc etc that are in the enclosures I recommend it to everyone.

30/07/2025: Beautiful presentation of the food. Quiet street off the beaten path. Homemade everything. We had the potato gnocchi with scallops and shrimp and the spaghetti with tomato and basil. Appetizer of grilled octopus with potato and honey onions was fabulous. Get a street table for lunch as the interior garden is too sunny. If I am ever back in Venice I would come in the evening and ask to sit there. Cost is worth every penny. We did not add drinks to our estimate.

22/07/2025: The owner, Pino, and his son, Lorenzo, are, first and foremost, excellent professionals: they know how to recommend unique pairings and refinements! Secondly, but no less importantly, they are extraordinary human beings!!! I have two apartments for tourists and always recommend EVERYONE to book at "VECIO PORTAL". I've never received a single complaint, only praise! But being able to say it firsthand (the pasta is homemade, as is the bread, desserts, etc.), I'm certain the food is top-notch. Both meat and fish, everything is authentic and delicious!!! See you next time!

20/06/2025: Tuvimos una de las mejores comidas de nuestro viaje. Esto es decir mucho dadas las increíbles comidas que hemos comido hasta ahora en Italia. Uno de nuestros favoritos fue el Spaghetti cremado con mantequilla ahumada y garum de sardinas (que puede sonar diferente pero os garantizo que era una locura). Nuestro otro favorito fue la carne de res Asado con crema de mais y zanahoria barbacoa y el pan casero. También los postres. Básicamente todo. 😂🐷. El servicio era impecable también y el ambiente general era perfecto. Si alguna vez estás en Venecia, Italia, DEBES revisarlo.

03/05/2025: Sehr gute gehobene Küche, nicht gerade günstig aber es lohnt sich. Der Service ist ambitioniert und freundlich. Die Speisen sind kreativ und sehr frisch.

13/08/2025: I have read the opinions of others and I do not agree with the negative opinions, such as the ordered pizza Margarita and the expectation that it was salmon sprinkled with gold particles. The restaurant and the service are truly fantastic. The owner himself is very nice, as are the staff, helpful and very friendly. The food is very good and I recommend it wholeheartedly.

13/08/2025: While strolling through the charming streets of Venice, we were welcomed in from the street by the delightful owner – a native Italian who speaks excellent Polish. From the very first moment, we felt like guests among good friends. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, and aromas that transported us straight to a culinary paradise. The service was smiling, friendly, and passionate. It's a place with a wonderful atmosphere that makes you want to return. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Venice!
