23/04/2026: Loved the location. Really enjoyed the aperitivo and food. Great atmosphere. Not going back for the service. The waiter was very rude and didn’t care about us at all. Table next to us were not happy about his behaviour as well so we got talking to them complaining about the poor service from the guy but how lovely it was looking at the sunset by the lake.

12/04/2026: Staff avoided clients, when approached they got upset and in the result they served wrong product with higher price. Always check recepits with what they serve you.

13/05/2026: Absolutely avoid this place. Don't even bother going there. It's the worst restaurant we've ever been to. They can't even make a Margherita pizza, which is ridiculous for an Italian restaurant. The pizza was indigestible; after this meal, I felt nauseous and had digestive problems. The escalopes weren't fresh and were way overcooked. And the staff is unwelcoming once you're seated... The "tourist menu" is a tourist trap. This restaurant claims to be a trattoria, since its sign at the time of our visit read "Trattoria da Michele." But the dishes served bore no resemblance to the dishes we saw on Google under the name "Trattoria da Michele."

02/05/2026: Hotel Ristorante Giardinetto After searching for several restaurants and finding them all full, we were actually on our way to a restaurant where we had eaten the previous day when we saw the Hotel Ristorante Giardinetto and decided to give it a try. We received a warm welcome and excellent service throughout our stay. My spaghetti was delicious, and the panna cotta was also very tasty. However, my husband's fritto misto wasn't particularly impressive, and the ice cream had a rather artificial taste. The espresso, on the other hand, was excellent! Unfortunately, the bathroom wasn't clean: there was paper on the floor and no paper towels, which somewhat detracted from the experience.

02/05/2026: A great experience, away from the hustle and bustle, superb service, excellent sea bass cooked in a salt crust and a magnificent view.

05/07/2026: We arrived around 2:00 PM. The restaurant had about 4 or 5 tables occupied, and we were told we'd made a mistake in not making a reservation. I should point out that there were 9 of us, and I understand that, with a full restaurant, it can be more difficult to find a seat. However, given the situation, the reaction seemed a bit excessive. Our table was set fairly quickly, but unfortunately, the service was also rushed, almost as if our presence were a nuisance. Once the table was set, I believe it was the owner who addressed us with these exact words: "Quick, come on." We were also rushed during the order taking, as well as when clearing the plates. When we finished lunch and stood up, we were stared at insistently because they wanted to clear the table. I would understand this behavior if we had arrived close to closing time, but the hours at the entrance were 12:00-7:00 PM, so we never would have thought of causing a disturbance by sitting down at that hour. The courtesy and customer service, unfortunately, were not up to par. The food was good, but nothing particularly memorable.

11/07/2026: They brought me a different dessert than I asked for! Chaotic atmosphere, average-to-low quality, and unreasonably expensive!

04/07/2026: I'm forced to give only 3 stars, and it's not because of the food, because that deserves 4. However, everything else leaves much to be desired, especially the service! The staff are always rushing, we waited in line to be taken to the table, they didn't even say good evening, they just asked 'how many are there?' And they hurried past the table, indicating where it is without looking back... one waitress came to bring the placemats and didn't even look at me, she just put them down any old way and continued with her work, I find that impolite. Customer service staff, whatever their role, must always keep one thing in mind: the customers who frequent the place pay their salaries, so the minimum is to be friendly and provide good service. The restaurant's terrace is pleasant, but only if it's not windy, and unlike other restaurants in the area, this one has nothing to protect it from the wind, so we see placemats flying across the terrace, which makes the experience unpleasant. It is also expected that a restaurant located in a campsite will have staff who speak at least a basic level of English. In my country, in tourist areas and where people serve tables, this is a minimum requirement! In short: the service urgently needs to be improved!

17/07/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic experience at Ristorante Pizzeria El Fontego! Delicious pizza, and even though the kitchen was actually about to close, they still made three for us. That’s what I call top-notch service! Friendly staff, a beautiful location, and highly recommended.

08/06/2026: The ambiance is nice, but that's about it. The waiters are unmotivated and unfriendly. The food is extremely expensive, and there's absolutely no value for money. Our bread basket was taken away even though my husband was still eating. A 0.33l Coke Zero costs €8 – and of course, these drinks aren't listed on the menu. It's a complete rip-off, and done in a very unpleasant way.

25/05/2026: Food was fine but not worth what they are charging, a Veg soup for €20, small bottle of water z€8 and the service was average at best …. On top of that they charge a 15% service charge, much better quality food, service and value available elsewhere in Venice.

18/05/2026: I visited the restaurant in May 2025 and I really loved the atmosphere. The view over the water was absolutely amazing and created a very relaxing experience. I had a pizza along with a glass of wine, and everything was delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful place to spend the afternoon and I would definitely recommend it.
