03/02/2026: Terrible experience... sat down at 12.30... starter arrived at 1.30pm... got up from the table at 3.30pm for a two-course meal.

26/01/2026: This evening, my husband, our four-year-old daughter Agnese, and I were in Chioggia... We took a wonderful walk and treated ourselves to a wonderful day in picturesque CHIOGGIA, which we LOVE. We decided to have dinner in Chioggia... we called FONTEGO: the owner answered, an EXTREMELY KIND, PROFESSIONAL, and PRECISE person. WE HAD A DIVINE DINNER: EXCELLENT QUALITY, VERY FRESH PRODUCTS, LARGE PORTIONS, AND GOOD PRICES. THE AMBIENCE WONDERFUL, ELEGANT, VERY CLEAN, VERY FAST SERVICE. THE OWNER PAMPERED US FROM THE ENTRY UNTIL THE END OF THE DINNER... WE RATE THIS RESTAURANT A SUPER 5 STAR!!!! SEE YOU SOON!!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ENTIRE FONTEGO STAFF, YOU WERE TRULY FANTASTIC. 18/07/2025: sono andato in questa pizzeria e ristorante con due ospiti americani che mi avevano chiesto di provare una buona e vera pizza "Italian style" e non solo la pizza è stata un ottima conferma - pizza Napoli style - ma anche il resto del cibo ordinato è stato superlativo. Nota di merito per la Parmigiana di Melanzane che era da urlo. Altra nota di grandissimo merito per i miei parametri...velocissimi e onesti. Abbiamo mangiato in meno di un'ora ed era tutto ottimo a prezzi assolutamente normali

30/10/2025: Cover charge for two people was €10 euro. Very expensive as we only had one drink each.

28/10/2025: The food was fine but not good enough for the price. The fried calamari was soggy and the salmon lacked any flavor. The service was horrible. Our first waiter clearly did not want to be there, and our second waiter was incredibly sexist. My aunt asked for the check, he did not bring it to her, then my dad asked for the check and he brought it to him but my aunt had the credit card in her hand and still refused to give her the check. Then, my aunt finally handed my dad HER card, he tapped it, and the waiter said “thank you sir.” Terrible food. Even worse service.

17/02/2026: Perfect location, shame about the service. The waiters, let's call them that, are young men who don't even know what it means to be a waiter. Very disappointed. What a fool I'd look if I brought someone to this restaurant. The food was decent.

17/02/2026: Unfortunately, it's unclassifiable: I entered with a couple of friends because the Piazza dei Signori was beautifully sunny. I asked a waitress if we could have a drink at the tables outside (since there were people there). She kindly said, "I'll have a drink right away, sir." "Come back," she said, "I'm sorry, but it's too late for a drink." We left, shocked.

16/09/2025: While strolling through Lazise, ​​we stumbled upon the restaurant somewhat by chance. My girlfriend and I ordered the house wine, which was truly excellent. For starters, we shared a charcuterie board—which offered four different types of sausage and a variety of pickled vegetables. For main courses, we opted for pasta with arugula pesto and shrimp, and penne amatricana. Both dishes were a good size and tasted excellent. The restaurant is highly recommended, as it has an authentic Italian flair and is a bit off the beaten track.

06/10/2025: Poor/ rude customer service - customers seem like a total inconvenience to the staff members. If you have a early/ late evening flight forget about getting anything food from here as once they run out they are so keen on keeping it stocked up. They ran out of pizza and although there were trays behind them uncooked.

01/10/2025: Almost three euros for a tiny, empty vegan brioche is a rip-off. It's half the size of other pastries and empty. It's disrespectful to those who are lactose intolerant or vegan. It costs less to produce an empty vegan brioche than one filled with cream. I don't understand why they should punish the customer. I only had to buy it because I needed to eat to take some urgent medicine. I should add that it's not even tasty.

10/01/2026: A truly authentic place in Venice. Excellent seafood dishes, but also excellent vegetarian and vegan options. Very friendly staff, and a top-notch host.

04/01/2026: Frankly disappointed... Our first night in Venice, charmed by the restaurant's authentic atmosphere, but unfortunately the service was lacking. We felt like we were intruding; the waiters seemed more interested in going home. The owner, a typical Italian, appeared only concerned with the tables of "locals." It's a shame because it had potential...

07/09/2025: We didn't eat anything, only had wine, but the waiter was friendly and funny - service was good

30/08/2025: Nice enough place, 1 Spritz and 1 Hugo were watered down for €12, and the fries were a ridiculous portion; if all goes well, there were 6 fries, some of which were soft and had gotten damp. The staff was rude and disorganized; we waited 15 minutes to order. The fries were left out in the open, unhygienic and unappealing. I definitely won't be going there again.
