17/07/2025: Arriviamo alle ore 12, ristorante ancora vuoto giustamente, noi chiediamo se possiamo stare fuori. Ci dice ok anche se il meteo dava pioggia, ci mettiamo comunque fuori dicendo che al massimo ci saremmo spostati dentro visto che i posti c’erano. Come molte persone quando sono in vacanza, approfittiamo del bagno prima io, poi il mio compagno e infine il mio bimbo di 1 anno a cui cambiamo il pannolino. Torniamo tutti al tavolo, solo il bimbo doveva finire di mangiare ma inizia a piovere quindi chiediamo di poter entrare. Da lì il proprietario scocciato ci dice che avremmo dovuto pagare i doppi coperti ( precisiamo che non c’è nemmeno la tovaglia ma un tovagliolo e le posate) e che siamo stati 20 volte in bagno lasciando anche il pannolino maleodorante del bimbo, che avremmo dovuto portare con noi in giro come si fa con i cani ( sue testuali parole). Sconcertati siamo andati via sotto il diluvio con il bambino che aveva ancora in bocca un pezzo di pane, senza finire le polpette che avevamo richiesto nuovamente ( due polpette pagate 8€) . Pessima esperienza di ospitalità, oltre che comunque le mie penne erano veramente dure.

30/06/2025: In un angolo di spello, un ristorantino accogliente, in una viuzza arieggiata.le tovaglie a quadretti rossi e la gentilezza del cameriere sono un buon biglietto da visita. Mangiato una buona pasta al ragù di agnello, una buna uona qualità prezzo in centro. Grazie 😙

22/10/2025: "Appearances don't pay off, and the host's bills don't add up." I strongly advise against this place. Even the appetizer included a cheese crust. The prices were completely out of proportion for the quality and quantity of the food. A disappointing experience, both culinary and gastronomic. I'm deliberately omitting the wine list. A food and wine expert by passion and training.

11/10/2025: A restaurant outside the city walls with ample parking nearby, but no traditional Umbrian dishes. No bruschetta... no truffle pasta. Portions are tiny and embarrassing for the price. Only the desserts are worth it...

28/09/2025: We stopped for pizza, but we didn't like it; the dough was very hard. The price was low, though. Maybe I'd raise the price a little, and the quality as well.

09/09/2025: A great restaurant just steps from the center. I went there today for lunch, featuring fresh porcini mushrooms. The tagliatelle were truly homemade, and the veal tagliata was truly delicious and of high quality. What can I say...highly recommended, perhaps that's an understatement.

12/10/2025: The pizza is really delicious, and it's not at all heavy, even when ordered with slightly more sophisticated ingredients. Fast service and a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The desserts are also excellent, so I can only leave a great review.

23/09/2025: Two stars for the food. The food was good. It took over half an hour to get the bill and for some reason there was 60€ too much to pay. We pointed this out, after which we were offered the difference in cash instead of a new bill? The new bill took over 15 minutes again. The prices on the menu were handwritten, so there was room for interpretation. In addition, inside the restaurant an older lady (employee) was smoking a cigarette at the table and the smell spread throughout the rest of the restaurant. Be careful with your bills!

21/09/2025: Visit this restaurant when you arrive and be kind to Silvana and her wonderful team, because they will provide you with a joyful experience, filled with exquisite food, laughter, thoughtfulness, kindness, and intelligence, even if the restaurant is packed with party-going Danes who monopolize the service. That's how this job is done. All applause for Silvana.

15/06/2025: È la seconda volta che mangio in questo posto, hanno un ottimo menu della tradizione umbra. La coratella era buonissima veramente,la straconsiglio. La pizza è la classica bassa e scrocchiarella come usa da noi ma forse poteva essere più cotta. Comunque una buona pizza a prezzi molto accessibili e così tutto il resto del menù. Locale con molti coperti ma il servizio è abituato a fare i numeri avendo uno staff molto numeroso. Bravi. Prezzi molto onesti

25/04/2025: Nulla di che,ambiente molto rumoroso,servizio discreto e cucina da mensa.Abbiamo atteso un’ora per il secondo piatto ed è pure arrivato freddo!

14/10/2025: We had an absolutely incredible time at Il Trombone, the pastas were to die for and the service made us feel right at home! Highly highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a truly local experience in Spello with fantastic food!

12/10/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant on a Sunday when Spello was packed with people attending a wine event. We entered and found no staff to welcome us. We entered the restaurant and waited a bit for someone to welcome us (the tables inside were occupied by only a small group; the rest of the place was empty). We attempted to access the terrace, but were blocked by the only restaurant staff member we could see. When we asked to eat outside, he told us it was all booked and invited us inside—a shame, because from what we could see, the terrace didn't appear to be full. Furthermore, as he seated us, he warned us that there would be a long wait for our food because they were having problems in the kitchen (we had the impression that he was asking us to leave, a fact confirmed by observing how other people who wanted to sit down to eat were treated). Once seated, we waited a quarter of an hour to place our reservations, and as instructed, we waited quite a while for our appetizer, wine, and cutlery, which we had to ask for. We didn't have to wait for the first course because it arrived while we were still eating our appetizer. The positive aspect of all this was the quality of the food: everything was very good, except for the pumpkin cream in the first course, which was cold compared to the rest of the dish, which failed to retain its heat. While we waited for our dishes, we stopped to admire the restaurant: very charming and historic. The terrace, which we were able to admire at the end of the meal (which we later discovered had many free tables, as was the rest of the restaurant), was very beautiful and had a remarkable view, but it was a shame we couldn't enjoy our lunch there. Continuing our observation, we noticed that the chair at the table next to us was very dirty with dried coffee splatters. We couldn't have coffee at the end of the meal because the machine had broken. Added to all this are the prices which are not exactly cheap, on the contrary.

27/07/2025: Cucina ricercata con prodotti del territorio, particolarmente buoni gli gnocchetti al ragù di Tinca con fagiolina (legume del Trasimeno). Delizioso lo speck di anatra e il dolce di pesche con coulis di mango e gelato alla vaniglia. Servizio impeccabile.

02/06/2025: Tempi infiniti per l' ordinazione e comunque servizio disorganizzato al massimo. Primo arrivato con un capello poi comunque rimandato indietro. Nel complesso cibo discreto. Non lo consiglio in maniera decisa.

05/05/2025: Horrible servicio. No nos sentaron porque no teníamos reservas. Así que salí, hice una reserva en línea y volví y les dije que tenía reservas. Nos sentaron, pero estaban claramente molestos. Esto es a pesar de que el restaurante nunca estuvo más de 2 / 3 lleno. El servicio era extremadamente lento, sacaban las cosas a diferentes horas, etc. Además, la comida era promedio, en el mejor de los casos. No muy sabroso. Gran decepción.
