Tric Trac In Spoleto

We visited TricTrac twice—once for aperitivo and then for dinner. On both occasions, the service was very friendly and prompt. The food—such as the truffle risotto and polenta with ragù—was outstanding and stylishly presented. The location, with its view of the cathedral, is unique. Overall, a great atmosphere.

The service wasn't attentive or thorough, but the view was truly magnificent! The food wasn't sophisticated, but it was tasty. We each had two craft beers (trying both the light and dark ones) and a mixed appetizer (scrambled eggs, ham, apple and walnut salad, and three crostini with vegetables (eggplant, zucchini, and radicchio).

We stopped for an aperitif before dinner, intrigued by the fact that we recognized this place, which has appeared several times in a popular television series. The location is undoubtedly privileged: sitting in front of the magnificent Spoleto Cathedral allows you to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the city. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the location. During service, one of the drinks we ordered arrived at the table rather abruptly; it probably slipped from the employee's hand, but what struck us was the lack of a simple apology, which would have immediately and elegantly resolved the incident. The table also had a sticky surface, and the ladies' restroom, according to those who used it, was in a less than acceptable condition. The prices are certainly above average, which is understandable given the extraordinary location in the heart of Spoleto. However, when you choose to apply location-based pricing, the service and customer care should be commensurate with the setting. The pleasure of having sipped an aperitif in one of Umbria's most beautiful squares remains, but overall the experience left us with the feeling that the place deserves more attention than we found.

We stopped here for some wine and munchies. The wine selection was great, and the service was really professional and attentive.

While traveling to Spoleto, my husband and I stopped at Tric Trac. The atmosphere is very quaint and the staff is friendly. The food we ordered was very good, though the price was a bit high, but we expected that. It's also located across from the beautiful Duomo and is one of the main locations for the TV series Don Matteo, which we've always followed. It's a shame that yesterday was very windy, otherwise we would have eaten outside. If we return to beautiful Spoleto, we'll definitely stop by, at least for a coffee. Thank you.

I really don't get the 3.1. What a beautiful location. Good service. Tasty food. Good wine. Delicious espresso.
