Ciao Ciao Ristorante In Tuoro sul trasimeno

So far, every single time I've arrived it has been closed although the website says it is open. (Owner addressed this, review following) I was able to make it and I must say I cannot complain about a single thing. My wife and I shared 3 separate dishes and everything was very delicious. The chef came out as each dish was delivered and checked how everything came out. The staff was very friendly, and although our Italian was very limited they never got frustrated and ensured we got what we wanted. I throughly enjoyed the experience.

We had a delicious meal at this restaurant. The menu only features fish dishes, but what we had was delicious. We had lunch here. Friendly staff. Beautiful spot on Lake Trasimeno.

CIAO CIAO & CUISINE 83 AL Lago restaurants Cioa ciao is a big restaurant catering for daily lunches, snacks, pizzeria, bar, with meals & music, while the restaurant Cuisine 83 Al Lago, which is righ next door, specialises in fresh fish. These restaurants were half an hour away walk from our accommodation, but very worth visiting. Do not rely on Internet info but call ahead, to check availability. They are situated near the ferry pier, that takes one, to Passignano and Isola Maggiore. Restaurants are surrounded by the parks and playground and have floor to ceiling windows all around giving beautiful views of the lake, ferry & grounds. The owner had just renovated the restaurant section where they specialises in fish. He was kind enough to open half an hour early for our dinner, as we were very tired & hungry, after exploring L - Isola Maggiore during the day. They have English speaking chefs, Michela, Marco, Stefano & Dominco and all were very helpful, accommodating and friendly. We had the best meal of our holiday in this restaurant. That is saying a lot, because Italian food is always fantastic and we Maltese love our food, so believe me on this account. Our meal was scrumptious, colourful, artistically presented, divine in every way. We were pampered throughout. My husband and I had Grigliata del Pescato, these cost €35 each but worth every euro and we enjoyed it tremendously. I had to take half of it takeaway. We had a 12 inch rectangular plate with 5 very fresh giant prawns, a large octopus tentacle, a piece of very tender squid, 2 opened in half crayfish, 3 different types of fish pieces, salmon, seabass & prech and thin slices of potatoes, layered and roasted. Our daughter had Trancio di Salmon, a beautiful piece of salmon fillet with pistachios on top & mash potato tartare with thin slices of different roasted vegetable on top. Carrot, coloured peppers, zucchini, onions. By the time we finished it was late & we had a half hour walk in the dark with the pushchair, no pavement most of the way and I asked the owner if there was a taxi available & he quickly asked for 1 of his people to take us to our accommodation over a kilometer away. Such a Godsend and so, so kind of him, finishing the day for us on an even more positive vibe. Do try this restaurant if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed.
