01/09/2024: Pay attention to the type of rooms, some are very old and absolutely do not have 4-star comfort: they are very small (little bigger than the bed), dark, noisy, without a shower but a bathtub with a plastic curtain. When I pointed out that the room was not a 4-star hotel, they replied that stars are not given to rooms.

10/12/2024: Unacceptable rudeness and arrogance: never again! I am writing this review sitting in another restaurant. Three weeks ago I made a reservation at the Mainardo restaurant in Merano for 4 people, accepting the 7pm shift rule without any problems, which required the table to be freed by 8.45pm. Last week I updated the reservation for 8 people: the girl on the phone, kind and helpful, assured me that there would be no problems, even if we arrived a few minutes late. This evening, after arriving from 300 km away, we show up punctually at 7.35pm. I send my wife and daughters ahead, along with a friend's wife and her daughters, while the friend and I park. A few minutes later we find them on the street, confused and mortified: they had just been rudely kicked out by the owner, an unpleasant and rude person, who claimed to have given the table away, treating them with arrogance and without any respect. I find this behavior scandalous and unacceptable. If you are unable to honor a reservation or treat customers politely, perhaps it would be better to close the restaurant or hand the management over to someone more competent. The owner, with her aggressive and disrespectful attitude, not only ruined the evening, but also demonstrated a total lack of professionalism. I deeply respect other people's work and this is probably one of the first negative reviews I've written in my life, but I can't ignore such a level of rudeness and arrogance. Mainardo? Never again!

06/12/2024: Very high quality/price ratio! Friendly service, with timely suggestions on food and drink to go with it. Fantastic spinach and cheese crescents, goat's cheese, honey and walnut pie that is truly worth it! Considering the prices in the area and the quality of the service offered, I put the Mainardo restaurant at the top of my recommendations!

07/08/2024: On the recommendation of Hoamt, I was booked there for the third time for a private wedding ceremony. Working with the on-site staff is easy and uncomplicated. You can tell that they are very experienced at hosting weddings. Personally, I love the place by the pond with the beautiful long entrance. This means the bride can enjoy her entry with or without flower girls and bridesmaids. The food at the Agape as well as the banquet in the evening are excellent.

05/08/2024: We were only there for lunch but it was perfect. Excellent food, especially the tafelspitz and the herb cream soup. The excellent service handled the wedding, birthday party and regular guests in the spacious restaurant and outdoor garden without any problems.

01/09/2024: I have been frequenting Val Gardena since my childhood, now very distant, always staying in the same hotels, but this year we changed by choosing the Granbaita. Really good choice! Hotel in a central position in Selva and well connected by shuttle to the main ski lifts, evidently recently renovated structure with excellent warm and welcoming furnishings. The Superior room we chose is large and overlooks the planted terrace overlooking the entrance, very quiet and impeccable in cleaning and evening maintenance. Excellent and varied breakfast and good choice in the evening menus, which in addition to the day's proposals offers various alternative options, praise goes to our maitre Paola, kind, friendly and very attentive to my wife's food intolerances. However, all the staff, from the bellhops to the reception, are really friendly and professional, from arrival to departure. We will definitely return in the future.

In particular, the excellent and efficient management of the catering room led by Marco was excellent; professionalism and kindness of Paola in the dining room, affability and courtesy in reception especially from Veronica and Katia; for the quick and punctual concierge service, particular credit to Fabio and Kostantine. 09/10/2024: Wir haben uns fünf Pizzas zum mitnehmen gekauft. Diese wurden frisch für uns zubereitet und waren wunderbar lecker! Wir hätten von außen nicht gedacht, wie gemütlich es im Untergeschoss gestaltet ist.

14/12/2024: We had a reservation for our table from 6 PM to 8 PM. When we ordered steak, it was not properly grilled and was completely inedible. When we tried to address this, the manager, a woman, was extremely arrogant and simply told us that we needed to leave. Despite the poor quality of the food, we still paid the full bill. When we tried to explain that this was unacceptable, they kept making excuses, and the manager refused to apologize. Her behavior was unprofessional, and we would like her to understand how important proper conduct is in a business setting.

14/12/2024: We reserved our table from 6pm to 8pm and when we orderd steak and it was not grilled enough, the boss women was arrogant and just said that we have to go. The steak was not eatable, but we paid everything. Then we just want to tell them that it was not ok, they were making excuses and the woman which was the boss didn’t even want to say sorry, so we just want that this girl see what behaving means in business.

29/07/2024: The hotel provides such an interesting and beautiful experience. The decor and art inside are exceptional. The pool and the grounds, garden are gorgeous. Breakfast fabulous. Why 4 stars for service ? When you arrive tired and walk to the room and there is no water offered except the one you need to buy for 5 euro... Unacceptable. At this price i expect water and a Nespresso machine at a hotel. But maybe its a thing in the area: you get lots at 120 euro/night places but nothing when you pay 300. Also, a fan in the room would be good. It was 36 C and it was a bit stuffy.

23/08/2024: The food is fantastic, apart from the somewhat slow service. Friendly and I really like it cozy but waiting 30 minutes to order drinks and then the drink arrives after 60 minutes is a long time. Man You should definitely take some time if you want to enjoy your evening here and call the service (a young guy, however, was quite active...we'll exclude him) more often. The food… really good. Spare ribs and tartare are highly recommended.

11/08/2024: Das Lokal bietet nicht nur hervorragende kulinarische Erlebnisse, sondern auch ein wunderbares Ambiente und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Raucher finden ein feines Plätzchen auf der Außenterrasse, Nicht-Raucher können sich im rauchfreien Innenbereich verwöhnen lassen. Wir besuchen als Einheimische das Lokal regelmäßig und können es wärmstens empfehlen.

12/08/2024: Erster optischer Eindruck des Aussenbereiches .. na ja.. Speisekarte Auswahl nicht üppig. Jedoch.. das Essen war Spitzenklasse. Spaghetti Meeresfrüchte top. Fleisch vom Angusrind Medium auf den Punkt perfekt und zart. Wedges cross perfekt. Das Gemüse lecker. Hühnerbruststreifen auf Gemüse mit Wedges top. Bruscetta mit weißem Speck oder Tomaten sehr gut. Dazu freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Preis/Leistung stimmt. Kann man nur weiter empfehlen.
