28/08/2025: We ordered the €20 fixed-price menu. The first courses were generous and delicious, and for the second course we had the classic fried fish platter, which was generous, and a side salad. The €20 also included 1/4 cup water and wine, coffee, and a cover charge. Having eaten outside, we had mosquitoes for company, and the owners should put up something suitable on their own to ensure that those eating can survive. The place is very shabby, the bathroom wasn't clean at all (when it opened), and to get to it, you have to walk past the small open kitchen. So, you think you've chosen this place just to eat, and you close your eyes. However, as stated at the beginning, you get a meal for €20.

21/07/2025: Absolutely disappointed in every way. I didn't think I'd have to write something like this... I came at 3:30 pm on July 21, 2025. The woman was incredibly rude. We found chips that were 2 days old. When I asked for decent chips (since we weren't entitled to anything else), I was told that with the aperitif I shouldn't even be entitled to what I found on the counter, but that they were leftovers from the morning. Incredible rudeness. Unfortunately, they've lost 2 regular customers.

21/06/2025: Very noisy and annoying environment, strong headaches are guaranteed like bread in the morning at the baker's. Very dark place where you can see very little and therefore makes it unsafe. Packed with people both inside and out. Average-low quality-price ratio depending on what you take. I've been there once in the evening and never went back and I will never go back but every time I pass by there in the evening, being along the center of Pontedera, it's more or less the same thing. Impossible to hear what someone might say to you, in this place having even a very short conversation is impossible, given the very high music. I feel sorry for the people who live near this place and who almost always have to put up with all the confusion.

06/09/2025: Encouraged by beautiful setting we went to this restaurant. It could have been such a great place! Instead, its such a bad experience. Loud, rap music, completely destroying the atmosphere, food was also bad, tasting cheap. As if they just knew some tourists will fall for this anyway so they dont need to try. Such. A. Shame.

04/09/2025: Too bad, the restaurant is nice but for the rest, that's it. We were welcomed well at the start, we were very well looked after by two waiters. The pizza was good but not cooked enough. The anchovy salad was good despite the excessive presence of onions which drowned everything. The end of the meal went badly because the waitress was unfriendly, unpleasant and inappropriate. She forced a payment in a currency other than that of our country when we had the right to choose which exchange rate we wanted. Annoyed, she got angry and forced the payment. Once done, she spoke about us in front of us to her colleague not knowing that we understood Italian; these remarks were not very complimentary and respectful.

31/07/2025: Locale accogliente e tipico delle colline toscane, vista mozzafiato, si gustano prodotti locali specie a base di carne e buon vino, i primi piatti sono ottimi come gli antipasti. Il personale molto gentile e veloce nel servizio. Che dire è un locale da consigliare anche per il buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

28/06/2025: Da un ristorante ci si aspetta rispetto, rispetto per il cibo, rispetto per la clientela e rispetto per il contesto. Dovrebbe essere tutto correlato, e la mancanza di rispetto per uno di questi tre aspetti, si porta automaticamente dietro la mancanza di rispetto anche per gli altri. Siete in un luogo magnifico, a ridosso di un bosco ricco di biodiversità, tra le colline toscane incontaminate. Ci si aspetterebbe un servizio adeguato al luogo in cui avete la fortuna di essere. Sparare musica (per altro orrenda) a decibel decisamente sopra i livelli consentiti, disturbando, danneggiando e involgarendo il territorio non vi fa onore. Mi auguro chiudiate presto e che il luogo torni silenzioso e rispettoso della natura. Un ex cliente che vi stimava quando stavate in paese e si sbagliava.

06/09/2025: I'd heard good things about them, but as soon as I arrived, since it's an industrial area, I said... Whoa!! I was wrong. The food was excellent, the service impeccable, and the place is very clean and charming. The chef has golden hands, and the owner is incredibly friendly!!! I highly recommend it.

08/08/2025: Traditional cuisine with a fair number of well-made dishes.

07/08/2025: Unfortunately, my room lacked air conditioning and the bathroom did not have a bidet. These shortcomings are probably attributable to the historical context of the villa. Otherwise, the tranquility and fairytale landscape were wonderful.

18/08/2025: Excellent, generously portioned pizzas. The manager doesn't push you to buy anything, which is truly rare and relaxing. I recommend the pizza fritta, which we don't know much about in France: a real treat! Thanks to the chef for this very enjoyable experience.

17/06/2025: I had the worst experience with the workers here, they stalked me down the street proclaiming I had to eat at their restaurant, then when I chose not to because they were really rude they continued to shout rude remarks at me while I was eating. I would NOT recommend at all!

25/04/2025: Locale situato in ottima posizione tra la stazione e all'inizio del corso, E molto accogliente perché si pranza sotto un pergolato fresco. Anche all'interno è arredato con gusto, Il servizio è giovane, informale e cordiale, Buone le pietanze assaggiate di giusta quantità e realizzate in maniera non tradizionale mischiando diverse cucine e diversi ingredienti. Carina anche la proposta di centrifugati.

06/04/2025: Location carina, porticato ricoperto da piante, bell’atmosfera con la musica di sottofondo. Personale attento e carino. Cibo invece da rivedere, non ci tornerò. Inoltre abbiamo chiesto del pepe che non è mai arrivato.

21/04/2025: Passo spesso da queste parti in viaggio per lavoro, ho scoperto questo ristorante grazie a una persona del luogo, e da allora cerco sempre di fermarmi per la cena in questo ristorante quando passo in zona. Ho assaggiato un po’ tutti i piatti del menu dalla carne ai primi passando per i salumi e per i dolci. Direi che il mio piatto preferito restano i ravioli di “mucco pisano” (prezzo 12€) è un bel piatto di ravioli ripieni di carne locale conditi con un abbondante ragù sempre fatto con carne locale. Molto buoni sono anche le carni e i salumi. Per un antipasto carne dolce a cena, sei intorno ai 50 €. Però ci sono altri piatti, come ad esempio i primi, che sono più economici. Questo locale fa anche la pizzeria, anche quella è molto buona. Ogni volta che sono passato in questo locale in qualunque giorno della settimana, l’ho sempre trovato strapieno sia in estate che in inverno, sinonimo del fatto che la qualità della loro cucina è apprezzata anche da gente del posto. I dolci, prezzo medio 6€, sono un po’ piccini, per rispetto allo standard. Se si cerca un ristorante con carni di qualità, questo è il posto giusto.

21/02/2025: Cambio la precedente recensione per sottolineare quanto una gestione oculata faccia la fortuna di certe attività (insieme alla qualità del cibo e del bere). In una precedente occasione c'era stata un'incomprensione - causata anche da mia inesperienza - che aveva portato ad una brutta esperienza, ma il titolare e il direttore hanno fatto sì che l'impressione tornasse quella di prima, ovvero di un luogo di eccellenza.

07/09/2025: Very nice place that deserves to be known for its cuisine and the kindness of the waitress who made the effort to speak French. Everything is perfect. A fantastic €25 menu. Too bad to be so far away....

25/08/2025: Unfortunately, I don't recommend it. The service is very pushy, forcing you to buy as much as possible. The pizza was tasty, but burnt.

23/08/2025: The service was very friendly, but the food was subpar. The pasta carbonara was more like scrambled eggs, and the spaghetti with clams was overly salty. The rest of the dishes were similarly poor; our only recommendation is the pizza.
