21/12/2024: Very terrible place, poor service, bad management and very dishonest. Rooms were leaking and nothing was done about it, My whole family caught a very bad cold and we checked out after a night and had to book elsewhere. they refused to refund our money and lied to booking.com that they fixed the issue. Danger zone stay off!!

The villa itself is beautiful and charmingly located, 4/5 for the lack of air conditioning, which is very annoying in the summer. The hotel restaurant is very good - tasty food, very helpful and polite staff.
Unfortunately, the problem lies in the service of the hotel part.
When we made the reservation, we did not receive any information about arrival time restrictions. When we were about a 20-minute drive from the villa, we received a call that due to late arrival we would be charged an additional fee, and if we didn't like it, we could cancel the reservation (it was already late and we had been driving all day). On arrival, it turned out that the fee was for the room (x2) and was payable only in cash + the gentleman said he would not bill us because it would go through the central office... he generally pocketed the money and it was not included in the final bill.
I honestly advise against it.

24/01/2025: Andata per una cena con amica, per fare due chiacchere... Il locale era quasi vuoto, subito una chiara sensazione che fossero "poco felici" di vederci entrare. Pizza buona, anche se una aveva le zucchine acide (dovute togliere). Alle 22.00 ci é stato chiesto di andare perché volevano chiudere. Conto "importante"... 2 pizze, 2 coca cole, 2 caffè.... 43€. Io sceglierò altri locali per il futuro! Mai più....
Peccato, perché avevo già mangiato in questa pizzeria più di un anno fa e l'accoglienza e i prezzi erano nettamente diversi
12/01/2025: The place is pleasant, historic, in the center of the wonderful Volterra. We ate appetizers, tagliatelle with wild boar, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. A real goodness. Well-groomed service. Great prices

Unfortunately I have to say that frozen supermarket pizza is a thousand times better.

17/02/2025: Locale finemente arredato e con una bellissima accoglienza. Poi che dire? È il regno della carne alla brace, di tutti i tipi e di tutte le nazionalità! Carne che viene cotta in maniera ottimale a seconda della preferenza del cliente. Anche i primi piatti sono di livello.
15/02/2025: Quella terribile sensazione di andare via sentendosi presi per i fondelli.
Dopo aver chiesto consiglio al cameriere se fosse meglio la costata di scottona (45€/kg) o la vaca vieja (55€/kg), ci è stata addebitata una costata di chianina a 70€/kg. Ho chiesto informazioni al momento di pagare il conto, ma non ho voluto fare storie. La sensazione purtroppo è quella del pranzo andato di traverso.
Peccato perché avevo scelto il locale come punto di riferimento per mangiare carne su Pisa, tornerò a mangiarla altrove, pagando per ciò che effettivamente chiedo.

15/02/2025: Hello 🥲 Too much to say, the whole restaurant is a mess. 1.5 hours of waiting to have dishes that are almost pitifully cold, don't serve if you don't have the capacity to serve 60 place settings!!! You open a restaurant but you don't know how to manage it properly, too bad there is good potential!! there was a rather nice waitress, who managed all the completely lost employees…the worst organization of all the restaurants I have been to!! We were served small plates to take away when the dishes were ready (waste of time) the dishes were sent 10 minutes at a time so the 3 of us ate staggered! We went through the toilets it's not toilets 😬 bidets for WC office and of course there is no water anywhere so hygiene levels 0... we went through the checkout with an elderly lady who couldn't manage everything all the employees were shouting at each other... the lady barely calculated and gave us the receipt with €7.50 for service 😱. Well apparently the owners prefer not to question themselves and try to improve, they prefer to defend themselves and respond to everyone on Google but in the meantime the restaurant is not moving forward!! And no improvement will be taken into account!!!! Run away and go eat at the McDonald’s next door in Pisa, it’s not worth it 🙁

13/11/2024: Terrible experience; Non -existent value for money. I took a fried seafood dish for 18 euros and it was very little fish, with very small prawns, scanty and limp, as well as cold! the mushroom meatballs were raw inside and my husband's soup was very poor for its 12 euro cost. The only positive thing is the location. Service not bad. However, a 68 euro lunch that wasn't worth it at all. A big disappointment.
