24/07/2025: The Atrium Bar at the Four Seasons Florence is everything you would expect from one of the most exclusive and beautiful hotels in the city: classic, charming, and intimate, with a truly elegant atmosphere that reflects the historic grandeur of its setting.
The bartenders embody what one hopes for in Italy – consummate professionals with warmth, impeccable manners, and a genuine passion for their craft. Service is both attentive and graceful, enhancing the entire experience from start to finish.
As anticipated in a venue of this caliber, drinks are priced at the high end (approximately €25 per cocktail), and we initially intended to enjoy just one. But the first was so exceptionally crafted that it turned into four rounds of truly outstanding cocktails. A standout recommendation is the barrel-aged Negroni, easily one of the best we’ve ever had – balanced, deep, and perfectly executed.
The Atrium Bar is the ideal place to unwind after a full day in Florence – serene, stylish, and unforgettable. Highly recommended for those seeking a refined end to their evening.

10/07/2025: The food was very good. The burger was excellent, and the pistachio tortellini was exquisite. The salad and tongs were good.
We ate outside and were bitten by mosquitoes.
The service was fair and geared toward tourists, and they charged us €3 per cover.

21/06/2025: Overall, extremely subpar experience despite some highlights. Food and service being the lowlights. Of the dishes we tried, 50% were inedible (e.g. mullet, grains). We also had two times where the portion sizes were drastically different between two people at the same table. The servers didn’t do anything about it. For example, the spaghetti portions had one that was 50% the other which was comically bad. Another artichoke dish one plate had 3 and another plate only had 2. Shocking how little attention to detail the restaurant had for being so expensive. The service was also extremely slow (which I can understand given they were busier), but with the price, our expectations were much higher. I don’t recommend anyone coming here because of the lack of quality control and training in service.

09/08/2025: Ci siamo fermati qui per il secondo anno dovendo alloggiare nel vicino hotel per spezzare un viaggio in autostrada. Ancora più buono della prima volta. Personale gentile e accogliente, cucina tipica con un menu non lunghissimo ma vario: carne pesce, primi e pizza. Fanno anche cocktail e tutto è preparato da loro con prodotti di qualità. Atmosfera rilassante ma non formale e prezzi nella media.

05/07/2025: El mismo día que llegamos a la Toscana decidimos ir a un restaurante cercano recomendado por el hotel. Llegamos al establecimiento donde mi hija de 11 años (que habla Italiano con fluidez) se adelantó y preguntó si podían hospedarnos a los 4.
El anfitrión inmediatamente comenzó a maltratarla, en voz muy alta, preguntándole si no era capaz de levantar el teléfono y llamar para solicitar una reserva, entre otras ofensas. Se aseguró de que todo el restaurante pudiera escucharlo e incluso después de que salimos del restaurante pudimos escucharlo haciendo bromas sobre nosotros y los clientes riendo.
Seamos claros aquí: si logras ser cruel con un niño, no es un rasgo de personalidad ni tampoco se trata de que no te importe lo que piensen los demás. ES SIMPLEMENTE CRUEL Y MALVADO. Y los clientes que se ríen son igual de malos.
Por lo tanto, te sugiero que si lees este post y estás en Montefollonico evites este restaurante o, si lo prefieres, pases por allí, pidas una mesa y cuando te traten mal respondas en el buen y viejo Italiano: VAFFAN… C. U. ¡¡¡L.O!! !! !

24/07/2025: Roaming the streets of Florence has you parched with sore feet and a grumbling tummy. You gasp with unanticipated delight as you emerge from the alleyway and step into Piazza Santa Croce. The deeply patinated buildings in this piazza attest to the rich history in this city—one of Italy’s finest.
Here, in the shadow of the Basilica of Santa Croce, is Finisterrae. Its unassumingly humble facade belies the gastronomical wonders that await you within. Truly delectable culinary creations happen here—the Florentine T-Bone is a prime example. There are seafood options, poultry dishes, pasta plates, and many others to choose from—all are delicious I’m sure. *They seem to have a tendency to undercook steak so request one temp above what you want and you will be happy.
Service here is second to none! Marco served our party of 11 with finesse and fashion a plenty. He exemplifies what others in the business should aspire to. Unwaveringly professional, courteous, and polite. His situational awareness keeps him one step ahead so you will never want for anything while you dine. For us he displayed his refined skills as a sommelier by uncorking, aerating, and presenting to us several bottles of fine wine. His knowledge of wine is expansive allowing him to suggest vintages for uncertain oenophiles. Marko is 100% invested in his craft and it shows through as he takes great care to ensure a fine dining experience is had by all. It’s rare to encounter someone who hustles and takes pride in what he does the way Marco does.
When in Florence you should dine at Finisterrae and ask for Marko!
24/07/2025: The restaurant is located in the beautiful Piazza Santa Croce. The service was excellent, and Marco was very kind. We had the Florentine steak, which was good value for money.

01/06/2025: Let yourself be blown away by this hidden gem of a restaurant where TRUE passion for hospitality, food and wine pairings with cool beats in the background gives you the total package of a evening that will have you talking about this place and the experience you had for years to come!!!!!!We were told about Cestello by Paolo our Concierge at Villa Medici and will be forever grateful for the tip that had us have one of our best meals and evenings out for years. Francisco our server and Juan our Sommelier had us try the blind 5 course menu and wine pairing that from the get go had us guessing the many flavors exploding across our taste buds. It was sublime and had us enjoying every second of our dinner and wine we were blown away by. The chef and team in the kitchen had a great experimental vibe complimented with incredible ingredients and beautiful presentation that had us excited all the way thru the almost 3 hour experience. You cannot leave Firenze without at least 1 meal here!!!!!

Elegant and peaceful atmosphere, beautiful music, and the food was simply perfect — every dish was a delight. The staff’s smiles were not just polite gestures, but truly heartfelt.
A very special thank you to Izadora — her presence elevated the entire evening. She wasn’t just serving tables, she was creating a memorable experience with every movement. Her smile was sincere, her energy unstoppable, and her kindness felt real. She worked with the grace, precision, and determination of an F16 in full flight, yet always made us feel at home.
She is the kind of person who turns a good dinner into a great memory. Thank you, Izadora — you truly made the night unforgettable. And my sincere compliments to the chef for the incredible food. I will definitely be back!
