06/03/2025: I was recently at this restaurant and was really impressed with the quality of the food and the service. The dishes were prepared with fresh and refined ingredients, and each course was a real delight for the palate. The staff were welcoming and professional, creating a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The environment was also very refined, with an elegant but at the same time familiar design. I highly recommend trying it, it's an experience that doesn't disappoint!

12/04/2025: Tourist trap. We ordered the cheese board and it came with 6 slices of cheese (14 euros!!!) and it took them an hour to bring us two simple plates of pasta. The quantities were quite poor.

08/04/2025: Exceptional, a few steps from the tower. Spritz and fabulous appetizers. The pici al cacio without pepper are delicious. Prices normal.

18/01/2025: For the food this place would get 2 stars. For the view 4. The service takes it all the way to 1. Lets start with the service. Before we even walked into the restaurant, the person serving looked at us really despicapply and disapprovingly. He did not greet us properly and treated us more as an inconvenience to his day. He poured water across the table and did not apologize. He really left a bad feel to the whole experience from the beginning. Food is really highly priced especially compared to quality. I had the grilled tuna, which was overdone and on the dry side. Seasoning ok. I really dont leave too many bad reviws but this place i felt mistreated, overcharged and i would say dissapointed with the food. Expectations were much higher. Choose something else in the area. Edit: They did switch out the person serving us midway through who did a better job, but the first impression was not saved. Also nobody came to ask if the food is ok etc, which is something to expect from a place like this.

06/03/2025: Unfortunately our experience at this restaurant was very negative. The pappardelle with wild boar was good, but the mixed grill was a disaster: the chicken smelled distinctly rotten, the sausage was almost of the same standard and the lamb seemed old. Impossible to eat. To make matters worse, while we got up to smoke and have coffee, they completely cleared the table, even though we had left our phone and personal items there, without even asking us if we were finished. When we ordered another quarter of wine out on the terrace, we received two really dirty glasses. When we reported it, the waitress dismissed it by saying it was "the fault of the limescale in the water". Finally, the bill was €60, decidedly excessive for a first course, an inedible grill, half a liter of wine, water and coffee. A disappointing experience in every respect. We don't recommend it at all!

Food score7.5. room 5.9 unfortunately very narrow and uncomfortable and with very little space, even to sit down. Prices 8.5/9 ok, very low. Quantity of food 8.5 quite abundant Recommended for a quick snack. I advise the managers given that with a few targeted adjustments based on my review to find another place to have more space because, I repeat with "little" they could have a lot.

22/11/2024: My husband and I stayed here for four nights during our honeymoon around Tuscany. This hotel is a very beautiful and special place. When we arrived in from one of our previously visited cities, it was a Monday afternoon and the hotel restaurant was not open that night. Zoe helped us to reserve a table at a delicious local restaurant that was a short taxi ride away. (Definitely rent a car if you can or you will have to pay a pretty penny for the local taxis.) David the owner came to our room when we arrived with an aperitivo of some of their prosecco. The hotel grounds are well kept and very nice for sitting and enjoying the serenity of the area. We booked a cooking class with the executive chef and we handmade amazing dishes and enjoyed them for lunch as a four course meal. Greta helped translate the chef’s words to us from Italian to English the entire class and it all went very smoothly. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant two nights and the food was superb. I ordered the fusilloni pasta two nights in a row because it was that good. The service in the restaurant was exceptional and professional as well. The breakfast buffet was great with freshly baked goods and the fruits were fresh and ripe. The waiters were always by our side and ready to make any hot drinks or anything else hot from the kitchen. We did use the hotel’s laundry service and our clothing was clean and nicely ironed. The housekeeping team did an excellent job, always leaving our room super clean and looking untouched and closing the outside shutters at turndown. All of the staff were readily available to provide anything extra if we needed. David has done a phenomenal job in training his staff. I feel like I have more to say but this will do for now! We would love to return back one day with more friends and family to share Relais La Corte dei Papi with. Thank you all again!!

03/11/2024: Very expensive mirror for decoys Everything is nice as long as you are outside, a pleasant garden. The room, however, is all smoke and little fire, absolutely not in line with what a 5 star should be, there are no excuses. For a suite, the photos speak for themselves and there is really no need to say anything else. The phone doesn't have reception, the TV has 5 working channels, the hydromassage is not very clean and takes forever to heat up, not even 33cl of water offered... It's not the first time I've stayed as a couple in a hotel of this type and I can calmly say that in Tuscany you can find much better for the same price. If you have money to waste and want to be dazzled by the gold finishes, this is the place for you, but forget about cleanliness and those details that really make the experience worth the trip. Breakfast was nothing special, very little choice for savory foods and in general it was a hassle since nothing presented had labels describing what it was. Ditto for dinner where an appetizer is offered placed on the table without half a word of description. In general it can be said that the real sore point is represented not only by the price (absolutely disproportionate) but by the manipulative strategy that we have also had the opportunity to find in other reviews, so be careful because being clever is apparently a trend. The time of our arrival found the kitchen closed so we were offered a platter of cured meats (20 total slices) and cheeses (5 pieces) with a wine of their own production chosen by the maitre. No alternatives. No wine list. No price. Well, that lunch cost more than €100 and that's unacceptable. The maitre d' knew this when he proposed it to us, but we didn't. We felt really cheated, there is no justification, terrible attitude. If you think you're clever enough to fool the customers you manage to fool with two smiles, you deserve all the reviews that highlight how unfair not only the quality-price ratio is but also the lack of transparency of your offers. 10/11/2024: We loved our dinner at this restaurant. The staff were lovely and attentive, the ambience was warm and inviting, and the food and wine were all outstanding. Do not miss the gnudi and the ragu! Their steaks were fabulous as well.

06/04/2025: Cucina dai sapori interessanti e tutto di ottima qualità. Dagli antipasti ai dolci è tutta una scoperta. Risotto di pesce buonissimo e anche il gamberone su crema di topinambur. Altra nota positiva i macarones buonissimi come gli originali lauduree. Consigliatissimo

05/04/2025: Cena di pesce di altissimo livello in compagnia di colleghi venerdì 4 aprile 2025. Lo chef ci ha dedicato una saletta da soli (eravamo in 15) e questo ci ha consentito libertà di movimento in una serata informale dove al carpaccio di crudo ha fatto compagnia un gamberone in tempura delizioso. Sublime il risotto al lime e la ricciola servita con patate e verdure croccanti, decisamente freschissima. Per finire una fantasia di dolci dalla bontà inimmaginabile. Prezzo assolutamente competitivo e servizio impeccabile! Tornerò presto, complimenti!!

Ambiente accogliente e i due fratelli , uno in cucina e l’altro ai tavoli ci hanno accolto con squisita gentilezza. Cibo ottimo per qualità e presentazione , torneremo sicuramente.
