06/05/2025: Reading the reviews, it seemed like a retro place but with a simple but valid offer. We happened upon an evening in which it was not possible to eat pizza (perhaps when one makes a reservation, given that it is mainly a pizzeria, perhaps specify it..) due to their problems, we nevertheless decided to stay given the late hour and we regretted it: terrible starters, poorly made first courses and taken away. It's unfortunate because it gave the impression of a tired, finished place... from the staff to the place, I couldn't find a positive note... not even the POS was working that evening. I'm sorry but I would never recommend it.

27/04/2025: Returned after many years for dinner with friends: we ate well from the starter to the dessert. Everything was very good, fast service. The second course of grilled squid skewers was honestly a bit poor. The meat dishes were plentiful. The desserts were excellent. Finding parking is not very easy, but if you turn around a little you can find it. After all, Buti is a small town. I will return. A wonderful evening.

06/04/2025: Returned after about 25 years... I found what I had left. Typical Tuscan atmosphere, very good pizza and very good and plentiful food. Advised.

21/05/2025: Good coffee and delicious brioche, but the service is very slow, especially if you order something like a coffee with plant-based milk. The place is nice, but the tables are very dirty.

04/06/2025: Pasamos por este restaurante, sin saber en lo que nos estábamos metiendo. Ofrece comidas italianas caseras tradicionales, hechas por la esposa del propietario. La comida era buena. El servicio estaba bien, con una barrera del idioma. El ambiente era hogareño. Nos dieron el mandato de pedir dos cursos por persona. Y se convirtió en la cena más cara de nuestro viaje de dos semanas por el norte de Italia, una bandera roja. ¡Estaba bien! Sin embargo, como viajeros desinformados que pasan por Montisi, nos sentimos un poco sorprendidos. Si usted es consciente del presupuesto, es posible que desee probar otra cosa.

04/05/2025: Location suggestiva ma servizio scarso, porzioni ridotte, prezzi alti e comfort in camera inesistenti. Sconsigliato.

08/06/2025: Restaurant located in the beautiful Piazza del Giglio also with outdoor tables. Fast, courteous and attentive service. Varied menu, includes both meat and fish, I found the spaghetti with sea urchins and the catch of the day very good. Extensive wine list, also with some solutions by the glass, but be careful of the slightly high markups. The quality-price ratio is however absolutely correct. Excellent experience.

12/05/2025: Sitting at the restaurant currently having a euphoric moment… do I eat the last bite of this meal to continue the flavour journey I have been taken on, or do I leave it for a few more moments and cherish the experience I have had? Delicious, maybe the best meal I’ve had in Italy.

09/06/2025: Spectacular fishing lodge where you can taste the goodness of the lagoon. If you are in those parts it is worth going there and maybe waiting a little You will not regret it

30/03/2025: Iniziamo col dire che se valutassi solo la pizza avrei dato 4 stelle, infatti è molto buona e digeribile però, c'è un però, anzi anche più di uno. Locale un po' trascurato e che avrebbe bisogno di un po' di pulizia in più, ambiente con molta puzza di vapori di cucina, quando siamo arrivati a casa avevamo i vestiti che puzzavano di fritto, cameriera che non ha aperto bocca per tutta la sera, non che sia importante dialogare col cliente ma insomma, avevamo preso un antipasto e mentre stavamo mangiando l'ultimo boccone con una mano ti sfilano il piatto di sotto il naso e con l'altra ti porgono la pizza, mentre stavamo mandando giù l'ultimo boccone di pizza sono lì a chiederti se vogliamo altro. Praticamente in mezz'ora poco più (non esagero) abbiamo mangiato, non amo certamente passare tutta la sera a tavola ma così è veramente eccessivo. Dimenticavo, anche il prezzo oltre alla pizza è molto buono, peccato perché con qualche attenzione in più sarebbe un locale veramente competitivo, magari c'è chi non ci fa caso ma io amo valutare non solo quello che mangio ma tutto il resto e questo fa perdere molti punti nella valutazione finale.

10/06/2025: We had dinner on the terrace with a breathtaking view of the walls... the dishes were well prepared and plentiful... an appetizer of excellent quality cold cuts and cheeses and amazing homemade cacio e pepe pasta...

04/06/2025: This idyllic village, nestled between the castle and the sea, is a must-see! The view is dreamy, the air is clear from the sea, the food is delicious, and the hospitality is just what you'd expect from a small Tuscan town! This certainly won't be the last time I visit this wonderful place!

08/06/2025: Sono stato in questo bellissimo ristorante ieri con 5 amici e siamo stati a dir poco benissimo. Le portate degli antipasti erano abbondanti e di grande qualità, come d’altronde anche tutte le portate successive. Il menù è molto vario e offre grande scelta sia per chi cerca qualcosa di classico sia per chi vuole qualcosa di diverso dal solito. Il personale è stato molto cortese e gentilissimo, inoltre un nostro amico era celiaco e ha ricevuto tutte le attenzioni del caso con estrema cura. Il locale poi molto bello, con una bella parte esterna e una bellissima interna, a cui unire anche dei bagni e dei servizi pulitissimi. Per finire il prezzo. Oserei dire molto più che onesto! Che dire. Più che consigliato direi obbligatorio andarci se volete visitare la città!

27/05/2025: I passed by during a bike ride. What a Bar! You absolutely have to eat lunch or dinner! Tagliatelle ragù di lepre good, but the tripe is a spectacle. I am a true lover of this dish, and few times have I found it so good. Easy-going and kind managers. If you are looking for food made as it should be, little aesthetics and a lot of quality, go calmly: it is the right place.

23/03/2025: Locale da evitare . Il gestore del bar ( obsoleto dell'arredamento e squallido ) maleducato e indisponente . Peccato perché il bordo è bellissimo e molto curato ....

01/06/2025: Let yourself be blown away by this hidden gem of a restaurant where TRUE passion for hospitality, food and wine pairings with cool beats in the background gives you the total package of a evening that will have you talking about this place and the experience you had for years to come!!!!!!We were told about Cestello by Paolo our Concierge at Villa Medici and will be forever grateful for the tip that had us have one of our best meals and evenings out for years. Francisco our server and Juan our Sommelier had us try the blind 5 course menu and wine pairing that from the get go had us guessing the many flavors exploding across our taste buds. It was sublime and had us enjoying every second of our dinner and wine we were blown away by. The chef and team in the kitchen had a great experimental vibe complimented with incredible ingredients and beautiful presentation that had us excited all the way thru the almost 3 hour experience. You cannot leave Firenze without at least 1 meal here!!!!!

She wasn’t just serving tables, she was creating a memorable experience with every movement. Her smile was sincere, her energy unstoppable, and her kindness felt real. She worked with the grace, precision, and determination of an F16 in full flight, yet always made us feel at home. She is the kind of person who turns a good dinner into a great memory. Thank you, Izadora — you truly made the night unforgettable. And my sincere compliments to the chef for the incredible food. I will definitely be back!

16/05/2025: In compagnia di amici siamo stati a cena in questo bellissimo ristorante. Il locale non è molto grande,ma è molto accogliente. Il personale è gentile e cordiale. Abbiamo preso 3 primi ed io che sono celiaca non ho avuto nessun problema. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

04/05/2025: Very nice and elegant atmosphere. However, the food was not up to par with the location (e.g. the pasta with pistachio pesto and prawns had one prawn in number and lacked flavour). High prices.

27/04/2025: Funghi porcini and polenta were delicious. The main discord a dream. The view absolutely fantastic. One of my favorite places.

10/12/2024: Unfortunately I was a little disappointed by the lack of some courses included in the menu and not available (pigeon, kid and green lasagne). Environment with disastrous acoustics (entering room on the right) and very kind waitresses, but overwhelmed and a little confusing perhaps due to too many customers arrived at the same time. However, the dishes we took (there were 6 of us) were of good quality. We will give the place a new opportunity. The view over Massa is exceptional, but the road to get there is pretty tough.

01/06/2025: Loved this place! Super friendly service, great Scooby-snacks, and a posh setting. Had a couple of cocktails including one off-menu "can you make something like this" that was terrific. Recommended.
