05/06/2025: Want to eat like a Sicilian local, this is the place to go. Fresh catch of day is so. Fresh pasta is something to taste. The vin selection is great including the dessert wines and aged grappa ( barricate).Reasonable price for the quality of food.

07/01/2025: Consigliati da degli amici e chiamiamo e ci dicono che ci sono due fasce di prenotazione: 8.30 o 22.00. optiamo per la prima fascia anche se presto ma non appena arriviamo ci accorgiamo che in molti arrivavano alle 21, 21.15 . Per le pizze abbiamo mangiato in differita, perché due di noi hanno ricevuto le pizze mezz'ora dopo giustificando la cosa con "problemi nella comanda". A fine cena davanti alla cassa una signora riccia molto poco empatica ci dà il conto, chiediamo due caffè e ci ristampano il conto aggiungendo 2.40 di caffè (su un conto di quasi 200 euro) però vediamo che ai clienti successivi offrono amaro e caffè post conto. Unico consiglio accertatevi di rientrare nella fascia di clienti di Serie A prima di prenotare.

15/12/2024: Una cena meravigliosa consigliata dallo chef Maurizio Massa alla scoperta dei piatti locali, cucinati in modo sublime. Verdure funghi arancini di patate frittate caponate un tripudio di esperienze culinarie indimenticabili culminate in un finale di ravioli con il sanapo stupendi. E cosa dire dei dolci, se non meraviglie? In 18 anni di assidua frequentazione della Sicilia non mi era mai capitato di mangiare così bene, accompagnato da un servizio inappuntabile e dalla cortesia e simpatia di tutto lo staff. Eccezionale!

08/05/2025: A good place to eat fish is essential, they cook quite well, an excellent slice of pauro, a good fried fish with different types of fish, perhaps the prawns and squid were missing, but they were excellently compensated by cuttlefish, perhaps the fish starter should be revisited, lacking, all in all a place worth trying, lastly, what is quite important, impeccable and fast service. The only flaw is the location, from the eighties, but the quality of the food is Compensa. It has now closed permanently for several months.

01/06/2025: 1 star is even too much. We arrive at the restaurant and after a few minutes the waiter shows up to take our order in a hurry, we ask for a few more minutes and he disappears completely from the radar! After a bit of time spent admiring the plastic flower at the table and the lady who poured us the water by stretching her arm in front of the diner's face rather than going around, we manage to complete the order in a few seconds and almost without a response to our thanks. We receive the appetizer with boiled octopus completely overwhelmed by the taste of the giardiniera full of vinegar, a scampi not properly cleaned of the intestine, a tasteless raw shrimp and a few other normal things; only during the work did they bring us the spoon to divide the portions throwing it on the cuttlefish boat fortunately already empty. The main courses arrived when we still had the appetizer plates on the table and we had to help the guy in trouble, who when we asked for a knife, spoon and plate for the shrimp heads looked at us as if we had asked for the moon, in addition to the wait of several minutes, which however gave us time to appreciate the parsley leaf with jaundice that decorated our plates of couscous, marked on the menu as hand-cooked. And here a chapter opens, since it was clearly pre-cooked. When we asked for confirmation from the phenomenon who had taken the order, he began with a loving "let's not talk stupid things" seasoned with a series of stories about how they have been offering top-quality food for 35 years and how we clearly didn't understand anything, all without even letting us finish a sentence without interrupting us. When our request to speak to the owner was completely ignored, we decided to leave everything at the table and end the evening like this. The lady at the cash register couldn't do anything beyond shrug her shoulders and round up the bill by €2.50. We were robbed of a good €70 for eating almost nothing and being taken for fools by people who present themselves as a high-class restaurant when the quality of food and service are to be considered below the worst dive, where at least you eat well.

19/06/2025: A HORROR!!!! We opted for this place because we were driven by the possibility of ordering gluten-free Sicilian street food and the choice could never have been more wrong... The menu is dedicated exclusively to packaged fried foods that can be purchased at the frozen section of any supermarket... we ordered a sandwich with calamari and salad that consisted of two slices of bread with rings of poor quality FRIED squid inside, spread on the salad and soaked in pink sauce that only by checking the receipt did we find out was counted separately... totally and strongly discouraged

12/08/2024: Very well organized lido, entry at a reasonable price. Sunbeds quite comfortable although they could do with updating. The only flaw: as early as 6.40pm they start to close the umbrellas, right at the quietest moment when there starts to be less confusion on the beach. I would put the shower included in the price. Overall positive experience.

09/05/2025: Posto molto accogliente, proprietari simpatici e gentili, ben posizionato in centro nella bellissima Nicolosi, porta dell’Etna. Abbiamo iniziato con una zuppa di fave fresche, finocchietto selvatico e ricotta salata, accompagnata da crostini di pane! Una delizia per il palato, abbiamo ritrovato sapori e profumi di una volta! Abbiamo poi continuato con una carrellata di delizie (polpettine di verdure di campo, di ricotta, di patate, melanzane, carciofi, cavolfiore affogato, …) . Potevamo infine rinunciare al dolce? Questa sera assaggi di due torte magnifiche e profitterol , il tutto annaffiato da due liquorini (ciliegia e carrube). Ovviamente buon vino locale per accompagnare il cibo! Una serata magnifica, da ripetere!!! Lo raccomando a chi vuole rigustare i sapori buoni e genuini di una volta.

13/04/2025: Location fiabesca mia figlia ha scelto questo luogo per il suo diciottesimo e anche il fotografo ha apprezzato sia l'esterno che l'interno con varie zone molto coreografiche, ma non solo anche i proprietari cordiali e disponibili, con loro abbiamo organizzato e coordinato tutti i vari passaggi. Personale gentile e anche i servizi esterni consigliati si sono dimostrati all'altezza. La festa è andata alla grande e la cena scelta con loro, buonissima impreziosita ancora di più dall'abbellimento dei tavoli a tema con il colore del vestito di mia figlia. Consigliato vivamente!!!

13/04/2025: Fairytale location with many natural views for which the photographer of the evening went to great lengths for photographic ideas, but not only that, friendly and kind owners with whom we agreed and organized my daughter's eighteenth birthday. Professional staff during the evening, as well as the external services offered such as entertainment and more, proved to be up to par. Highly recommended!!!

12/06/2025: Avoid the fish of the day. I paid Euro 50 for a small circa 300gm Sea Bass. I love good fish but hate being ripped off. I was told it was 500gms. Manager very unapologetic.

26/04/2025: Unfortunately I have to say that the service was clumsy and decisive in the errors that followed. We ordered a fried squid with the addition of prawns which were not added, a grilled meat and a fish one arrived for 25 euros! Unfortunately, having the omelette already on the table and not wanting to wait any longer, I chose to keep it so as not to wait any longer... I don't like fish! The side dish..2 fantasy salads for which I asked for the ingredients and a brief answer didn't say it contained mozzarella, I'm lactose intolerant and canned tuna (poor). I pointed out everything to the waiters who admitted the mistakes, furthermore you can't see the coffee served in a paper cup in a restaurant!!! In all of this I paid for everything as if it were nothing.

15/04/2025: THEY DO NOT SERVE PIZZA AT NOON. Otherwise good, when having to choose pasta we took the pistacchio and speck one and it was quite good, for dessert the canolo 10/10, the base has cocoa and tastes incredible

18/05/2025: Restaurant with a sea view and tables also outside where we ate mussel soup and mussels with pepper, very good, as well as a beef stew with Nero d'Avola, also very good. The only thing a little below par was the mixed fried fish, which, although still acceptable, was not up to par with the other dishes. Excellent choice of wines and drinks in general (they have an infinite variety of bitters). The staff is kind and friendly, the service is fast and the prices are affordable. Definitely worth trying.
