13/07/2025: I called the restaurant "L'Ancora" at 4:00 PM to make a reservation and go there for dinner... Everything was fine. So that evening, we went to the restaurant, confident in our reservation, entered, and found ourselves in complete confusion... We immediately noticed some people sitting and complaining about the wait, others standing looking for a free table, and only two waiters in the room. I asked one of them if I had a reservation for 9:00 PM, and he told me to wait a few seconds. Unfortunately, those seconds turned into a 20-minute wait. Then the owner arrived, and I told her about my reservation and the long wait. She checked a large notebook, crossed my name off the list, and left. After a while, two people sitting at the table in front of us finished their dinner and stood up. Luckily, just at that moment, the waiter from before came by and, seeing us still standing, set up our table in a matter of seconds, but forgot to leave us the menu. Another 15 minutes of waiting and we don't see anyone else. At that point we get up and leave...

26/08/2025: Welcoming and clean place, we ate divinely well and will definitely be back! The staff were friendly and helpful, the service excellent, and the hostess was friendly and attentive to her guests' needs. I highly recommend the appetizers, delicious small bites that are so satisfying. The mixed grill and everything else were excellent.

A 360° sensory experience, one of the fondest memories of our holiday, thanks also to the kindness and advice (demi-sec Marsala with dessert!!!) of the woman who looked after our table. Thank you.

13/08/2025: A very picturesque location, on the edge of the salt flats, with a unique sunset. We booked online, with a package that included drinks accompanied by crostini made with local products. Unfortunately, we waited over an hour for them to be brought to us (repeatedly asking all the waiters). Nonetheless, the place is highly recommended for a sunset experience in the salt flats.

23/06/2025: Terrible experience: DO NOT go if you have a dog! Despite the modest setting with village festival-style furnishings, the father or father-in-law (I didn't quite understand) of the lady who seated us railed against us, yelling at her to throw us out. He then accompanied with curses the exit of another couple who had a dog with them. I specify that both ours and the other were small and extremely well-behaved. We took a pizza, honestly of decent quality, only out of respect for the aforementioned lady. I specify that at the entrance there is a sign indicating the prohibition of smoking, but no prohibition of access to dogs

08/05/2025: A good place to eat fish is essential, they cook quite well, an excellent slice of pauro, a good fried fish with different types of fish, perhaps the prawns and squid were missing, but they were excellently compensated by cuttlefish, perhaps the fish starter should be revisited, lacking, all in all a place worth trying, lastly, what is quite important, impeccable and fast service. The only flaw is the location, from the eighties, but the quality of the food is Compensa. It has now closed permanently for several months.

14/08/2025: A quaint and authentic agriturismo beautifully located on the slopes of Mount Etna. Everything is delightfully rustic: from the hearty and highly recommended homemade dinner to the breakfast, the fruit trees scattered throughout the property, and the simple yet welcoming rooms. 11/08/2025: We spent one night with Laura and Giuseppe and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The food is wonderful, some of the best on our trip to Sicily. There are many opportunities to relax and enjoy nature. Laura was so kind and drove me to the train station. Very, very nice hosts.

12/08/2025: We stopped with my family, a group of 10 people, for lunch here, really kind staff, and then we ate fish both sandwiches and coppi everything super good, just a little tip, ask if they want the pink sauce on the fish coppo because it is subjective whether you like it or not, everything else was good 😊

10/08/2025: My partner and I stopped by chance, intrigued by the dishes. Besides the fact that they mostly serve fried food, the prices are very high for what you get. The fried shrimp and calamari were dry and inedible, the shrimp were tiny and unpeeled, the sandwiches were tiny, the only decent thing was the fried ricotta, which was overpriced, and to top it all off, there weren't even any bathrooms. They recommended we grab a coffee at the bar and go there. In short, a terrible place, truly horrible. I'd add that if someone is judging, it's obviously because they've had better elsewhere and perhaps also have experience in the restaurant industry.

13/08/2025: We were served by a young lad , who was not interested in his work, but overall we cannot complain that much, the food was good, though small portions, but they show the world , that you can have a well doen steak without having to use a chainsaw to cut it, The food was excelent. As for the atmosphere, I loves it in the narrow street.

The atmosphere is welcoming and authentic, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the staff's helpfulness is admirable: they go out of their way to please their guests, always with a genuine smile. A true gem, one you'll want to return to time and time again.

29/08/2025: Excellent seafood restaurant, we had a huge hot and cold appetizer in 3 and 3 exquisite seafood first courses. The chef in the kitchen is noticeable. Very clean place.

10/09/2025: According to the restaurant's description and certification, they can also prepare everything gluten-free. My wife, who has celiac disease, had at least one accident after eating the "gluten-free" pizza. Perhaps everything can be prepared gluten-free, but cross-contamination cannot be ruled out. You might get lucky if you have an intolerance, but if you have celiac disease, we would strongly advise against it.

10/09/2025: The fish was excellent, but the grilled vegetables that accompanied it were so oily that the skin of the fish that lay on the plate was no longer crispy and was completely soaked in oil.
