17/02/2026: The truth is the truth, and I won't change it. The food was good but not excellent. The seafood appetizer wasn't as complete as the menu offered. The mixed fried fish and shellfish soup, mussels, clams, and razor clams, were missing. Three seared mussels and one razor clam aren't soup. They're very kind, but they're not very familiar with using gift cards. I recommend that my husband and wife update themselves on using The Fork Pay. 'The terms of the agreement must be respected.' I remind the woman, who responded in the app, that it was me who put her in touch with The Fork customer service, not her, who claimed I should pay the full bill because they would later refund my gift card. I can read the menu, and I'm attaching photos so you can review what's included in the appetizer... I'm sorry I didn't take a photo of the dish. My comment was just a minor one, and if there was a mix-up, I didn't give it the same low ratings as The Fork, because what we ate was good.

Il Baglio La Pergola

17/04/2026: The importance of details. We returned to the Baglio after 10 years and, as before, we encountered the same warm welcome from the owner. Nothing is taken for granted; in addition to the kindness, it was immediately noticeable that, unlike many other establishments in the area, here at the Baglio the bread isn't the usual defrosted bread, which is certainly more economically manageable, but a homemade product toasted with oil and oregano. The appetizer consisted of several courses, all balanced in quantity and flavor. The first courses were excellent, especially the spaghetti with datterini tomato sauce and eggplant cream. We continued with a slice of cod with creamed potatoes and roasted artichokes. There was a wide selection of bottled wines, not just the usual Nero d'Avola and Inzolia by the glass. Finally, the owner offered Amaro di Arancio e zenzero (a rare find in almost all restaurants these days). To conclude, a famous saying: three is all good things...we'll be back!
