Excellent restaurant run by its owners. The ladies were very friendly and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The food was delicious. Excellent gluten-free recommendations.

Splendid location just off the principal street. Wonderful host, Francesca, who was so helpful but never overbearing. We had pasta for starters - one with ricci (sea urchins) sauce and the other with shellfish, prawns and pistacchio. Seconds we had fried calamari, grilled tuna and vegetables, watered down with some great local grillo wine from Firriato. These are new management and they are off to a good start. Ah yes, and then we had typical Sicilian dessert - cassata - but prepared differently with orange glaze and sponge..perfect.

The best zuppa di cozze ever! Every time the mussels are fresh. A couple of times in other restaurants we were served unfresh Spanish mussels, but at La Carbonella we have been eating this zuppa di cozze for more than three years, and every single time it has been made with fresh mussels. 5 stars for this soup!

19/04/2026: Excellent pizza and a wide selection on the menu. Very fast and friendly service; the place is a bit small and noisy. Still, worth a try.
20/03/2026: Pizzart in Petrosino is a pleasant discovery. The staff is friendly, attentive, and professional. The pizza is wonderful, especially the guy at the cashier who's very kind. Highly recommended!
