14/07/2025: This is our second stay here in two and a half years. This hotel has its own charm, the pool is just amazing. And the rooms are adequate. Dora is so kind🥰 every morning she takes the time to prepare a delicious (savory) breakfast for us, and the rooms are always cleaned while we're away. The only downside, when you're unfamiliar with the city, is that they don't serve lunch or dinner (at least during our stay). Be aware that the hotel hosts events on Friday and Saturday evenings, so you have to be prepared before choosing it as your place of stay. And thank you also to Antonio (the owner) for the welcome. 18/10/2025: Probably the best panna cotta I’ll ever eat in my life, the consistency and flavour was amazing. Our sweet and helpful server Manuella said she’s the one who makes all the desserts herself - compliments ! The meals, decorations and atmosphere were homey and authentic-feeling — overall a very lovely dinner.

24/09/2025: A bad experience. The food was pre-cooked, reheated several times, and then served. As with the risotto in the photo, it practically fell apart. The two glasses of white wine we ordered were of poor quality and had oxidized, as you can see in the photo, undoubtedly due to improper storage. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. Improve the quality of your products.

21/09/2025: I reply by saying that I go to the fishmonger's regularly and I know very well how much an octopus costs, after the first tentacle they brought me another 2 tentacles, and it doesn't seem to me that the total of three tentacles is worth 20 euros, so it doesn't seem to me that you work honestly, in fact, moreover the rudeness of the owner is unacceptable, she turned her back on me and walked away... answering me rudely... I think that a customer who requests or complains about something should be satisfied in some way or at least reassured.

15/08/2025: Dinner with the family. We didn't use the rooms. As for the food, you have to like their vegan approach. For me (a carnivore), the appetizer was excellent, the first course was perhaps a bit too heavy, and the dessert was delicious. We didn't order the second course because we were too full. What's striking, however, is the tranquility of the place, a true oasis of peace just steps from the road. Add to that a lovely welcome from Francesca, and you've got a truly relaxing evening.

05/05/2025: Eating at Piccapane is a unique experience: a family environment surrounded by greenery where you can enjoy excellent vegan dishes prepared with attention and love. This was the feeling we felt yesterday at lunch, from the welcome from the very kind staff to the tasting of the dishes, in the choice of which we were carefully guided. The food is incredible, a joy of simple flavors with refined combinations. There is also a small shop where you can purchase their products. Finding an entirely vegan restaurant in Salento was a dream until recently. Piccapane is truly a virtuous example, spokesperson for a change that we hope will spread more and more. (access is also allowed to animals ❤️)

24/11/2025: I was there yesterday with my wife. We found a dirty room. At first, they gave us a small table that was completely wobbly. I lifted the tablecloth and found cardboard boxes to hold it down, and a hundred feet on the tablecloth. The seafood appetizer was poor quality, with dirty au gratin mussels still with the lifting rope attached. I mentioned it to the waiter, who explained that they're expensive, so perhaps the manpower to clean them was reduced to keep costs down. The fried calamari was of terrible quality, which you can find much better at a street food shop. The service was approximate. Finally, the bill was disproportionate for what we ate and the quality served. They even charged us for a beer we didn't consume. A final point: we weren't given a menu to choose from. In short, it's not an à la carte restaurant, but a self-service restaurant in an industrial area.

22/10/2025: What is this restaurant? I wrote on their website to make a reservation: no response. I go: door open, lights on: they tell me it's closed. How absurd!

12/10/2025: One of the few establishments open at this time (others closed or limited menu) pleasant welcome and smiling staff. We ate very well, good fresh products. We hadn't booked, few people. It was perfect.

11/10/2025: Found it by chance during a bike ride, we went there as a couple, without a reservation. The staff was very welcoming, the place is family-run and frequented by local Italians, which was reassuring. No pizza at lunchtime, but it allowed us to focus on fresh seafood! The dishes were delicious and the price was right. The service, although we don't speak Italian (yet), was pleasant and we were able to make ourselves understood by our very cheerful waiter.

14/11/2025: The octopus sandwich is delicious and exceptional. I took the classic one but there are variations with burrata and other types of sandwiches. Generous portions. Quick and cordial, and you can pair it with drinks from the fridge, beers and whatever else.

17/11/2025: The place, the staff, the wonderful food. You feel pampered, but with great professionalism. The dishes are a revisitation of our typical dishes, reworked with great skill. The price is in line with what's offered. 10 out of 10.

15/11/2025: Excellent cuisine. High praise for the kitchen staff for an exceptional, creative menu that skillfully reinterprets Sardinian tradition in a new way. Friendly and professional service; the staff are happy to offer advice.

18/12/2025: A run-of-the-mill grill, nothing special, good food, slightly dated atmosphere... there's no parking. It didn't leave any impression on me. Should I return again? No.
