26/07/2026: We wanted to come for a special fish supper for our last night in Italy so chose La Battigia as it had some good reviews. Sadly the evening was very disappointing.....rude, offhand, slow service especially from the lead waiter outside. He never smiled and literally plonked the food down , no grace. We waited a long time to have our order taken and then the starter arrived before we had got our wine and it wasn't particularly busy !! They served the fried calamari without any fresh lemon which I found odd.....🤔. The tuna steak wasn't properly seared and was chewy. We had FAR nicer fish suppers at other less prestigious restaurants on our Italian holiday. As we were leaving a smart young couple arrived in a big car, parked right outside the restaurant blocking a busy road, left their hazard lights on and then came and sat down for a meal .....seemed to us that this place was more about style than substance. Avoid ....and go to a more authentic, friendly restaurant.

The service was impeccable, attentive, professional, and at the same time extremely welcoming, making us feel immediately at ease. 16/08/2026: The experience at Meraviglioso was truly excellent, from arrival to the end of the dinner. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the staff with great kindness and professionalism. Throughout the evening, they were present and attentive, without ever being intrusive: a meticulous service that contributed greatly to the overall quality of the experience. The cuisine was also very high quality. We began with appetizers, all very good and prepared with top-quality ingredients. The first course was probably one of the highlights of the dinner: well-balanced flavors, excellent ingredients, and preparation that definitely lived up to expectations. The wine cellar deserves special mention. During dinner, we were recommended a wine that proved exceptional and paired perfectly with the dishes. It was a bottle that impressed us so much that I would return to Meraviglioso just to drink it again. Overall, what I appreciated most was the attention to detail throughout the experience: from the welcome to the service, from the quality of the products to the wine selection. You don't just feel like you're dining, but rather being accompanied throughout the evening by a staff that pays attention to detail and knows how to offer advice. Marvellous, it's definitely a restaurant I'd return to. When I'm back in Polignano a Mare, it will definitely be one of my stops.

18/08/2026: Discovered by chance three years ago, and it's been our go-to spot ever since! An exceptional seaside restaurant with a breathtaking view, the quality is always top-notch: whether it's meat or fish, the dishes are delicious, carefully prepared, and made with the freshest ingredients. Special praise goes to the owner and all the staff: they're simply amazing, always welcoming, smiling, and professional, making you feel at home every time. 100% highly recommended!!! The pizza, calzone, and paposcia are also excellent (I recommend the Nutella one for a perfect finish 😋). We'll miss you 🥹 Definitely a 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, I'd even give it a 6🌟!!!

12/02/2026: The staff were very welcoming and courteous. The entire property displays great care and attention to detail. The suite with a pool is simply stunning, as well as very quaint. Even though it wasn't high season, our stay was still very pleasant, and the property is in top form. Plus, it boasts an excellent sea view. Definitely not to be missed if you're near Otranto.

Pizzeria Cristel in Oria easily manages this, thanks to the quality of its products, a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel instantly welcome, and extraordinary attention to gluten-free options. The owners are always available, kind, and attentive to each customer's needs—qualities that truly make a difference these days. For those looking for a gluten-free place, Cristel is a guarantee. The gluten-free puccia is truly exceptional: soft, tasty, and prepared with great care, so much so that it doesn't disappoint. The attention paid to those following a gluten-free diet is evident. The Frutta Realita was also a pleasant surprise: a dessert crafted down to the smallest detail, with a delicate, balanced, and never heavy flavor, perfect for a light-hearted end to a meal. A place I highly recommend to anyone looking for quality, professionalism, and excellent gluten-free options. Kudos to the entire staff: you can sense their passion, care, and love for their work in every detail.

22/08/2025: Well-stocked beach, fabulous sea view...a little further on, walking towards the rocks, the sea is Caribbean-like with very warm water, immersed in nature!! I recommend it both for the location and for the bar service, which has a rotisserie full of delicious things to eat and, for those who want, there's also kebab and piadina shop!!! Showers are available for a fee at the price of 3 euros!!!

13/08/2026: In the setting of a charming and unique village, Vite Colta welcomes us with an authentic Salento menu and excellent wines of their own production. Authentic, traditional flavors. Excellent portions and a fair price-quality ratio. One "flaw" is the long wait between courses: even though it was the Ferragosto holiday, the wait was over an hour between appetizers and main courses. Absolutely recommended!

13/08/2026: We ate terribly. The food was saltless, heavy, and too wintery. Everything had no flavor. The bread was hard, the appetizers were small and bland. We couldn't order the main courses because the owner told us after we'd eaten the first courses that they were sold out. I should point out that we sat down at 9:20 PM, and by 10:00 PM, the main courses were already gone, but the pasta was still overcooked. The service was too informal and unprofessional. Overall, a terrible experience.

12/08/2026: Super cute location, so different from the other hotels in the area. You can clearly see the attention to design and the young people behind it! The dishes are delicious and especially refined, but the fish flavor remains the same! One of the best restaurants during our stay in Lesina! If you have to choose a place for lunch or dinner, I would 100% choose this one!

10/08/2026: Very nice and helpful waiters, but it's really absurd that a restaurant in a seaside town with the port just a few meters away has such a poor seafood menu! We had a seafood risotto that was not only overcooked and soupy but also had practically only 4 mussels... The fried fish wasn't bad, although we struggled to peel the shrimp because they were a bit dry! A real shame!

13/08/2026: A thrilling experience for the eyes and the palate. The restaurant overlooks the Trani dock, enveloping you with the scent of the sea. Impeccable service, the perfect table setting: Murano glasses add a pop of color to a white-clad table. High-quality products, the freshest fish, plating that delights the eye, and flavors that tickle the palate. The restaurant is located in the lovely pedestrian area of ​​Trani's harbor, but this offers the opportunity to take a nice stroll and enjoy the view of the basilica and the fortress. Excellent value, and if you book through The Fork you also get a 20% discount. I recommend booking. We'll be back!!!

12/08/2026: Excellent restaurant in beautiful Lecce, we dined outside preferring the view of the amphitheater to the air conditioning inside, excellent raw fish with explanation of the salts by the maître Antonio, always smiling and never intrusive, who also recommended a Negramaro rosé that paired well with the dish, the grilled octopus and the ceviche also left us satisfied, spectacular bread and to finish, homemade desserts, compliments for the professionalism.

01/06/2026: We don't recommend eating here. The service is unfortunately very slow and overwhelmed. The food is okay, but the price-performance ratio is terrible. The portions are tiny. You don't get much for your money. The fries and salad taste good. All the dishes are okay, but nothing special, nothing like what you'd expect from Italian cuisine.

22/08/2026: We had dinner here this evening, two couples. We arrived at 9:00 PM and didn't start eating until 10:30 PM, after about an hour and a half of waiting. We finally left around midnight. We each had a pizza, five medium draft beers, a portion of fries, and two bottles of water, for a total of €107 (€26.75 per person). The price, considering what we ate, didn't seem out of line, but honestly, I expected a much better experience. The pizza, at least the one I had, wasn't the best: I only ate half. What I was most disappointed about, however, was the incredibly long wait. I'm a local and have always had a good experience there in the past, which is precisely why I was particularly disappointed this evening. What bothers me even more is the feeling that, once seated at a table, locals are treated like passing tourists: you come in, pay, and say hello, with little regard for the fact that you might be a repeat customer. I don't like leaving negative reviews, especially for a place where I've previously enjoyed my experience, but this time, unfortunately, the experience was truly awful. I sincerely hope it was just a bad night, because I'd expect a different kind of attention from a local place, especially towards those who live here and choose to return.

21/08/2026: Our experience was, unfortunately, disappointing. Although the restaurant was almost empty, with only two tables occupied, we were not given the opportunity to choose where to sit, but were shown the table we were supposed to sit at. The most unpleasant aspect, however, was the waiting time: we waited almost an hour to receive our food, which is hard to understand considering how few customers there were in the restaurant. In addition, the waiters were almost constantly standing right behind us, which created a feeling of discomfort and being watched, although there were enough other free areas in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food did not compensate for the experience either — it was rather mediocre and certainly not at the level we would have expected after such a long wait. Overall, an experience that could be considerably improved both in terms of service and attention to customer comfort, as well as the quality of the dishes
