A very traditional, rustic restaurant and an escape from the numerous fish restaurants in the area. A good selection of freshly prepared local dishes and meats grilled in a barbecue inside the dining room. Food was great, especially the grilled steak, service was first class and prompt and it had a warm cosy atmosphere.

Cozy place with warm and appropriate decor for a tavern. We booked on the recommendation of a local and it was worth it. Close to the cathedral, the place is welcoming and the staff helpful. The products are good and well presented, we took a platter and a second course each with a side dish of baked potatoes... the cured meats and cheese were good and fresh, accompanied by a fig and ginger jam and the quantities were generous for two people, the portion of bombette and horse strips respected the required cooking and were really tasty and stuffed in such a way as not to obscure the true flavor of the meat; really tasty baked potatoes. Recommended for those like us who are looking for welcoming and tasty places. Excellent quality/price.

Very welcoming place, we ate very well, we had the starters, excellent tartare, top!! i, and the sausage, really good. The staff were very kind and helpful towards us who were with our 4 month old baby, they warmed up the milk for us and helped me clear the table full of baby things. The only flaw is the space. With the stroller we couldn't move... especially if other people arrived. For the rest everything was excellent, I would gladly go back to try something else 😉

Di pasaggio nelle viuzze di Tranici. Ci. siamo fermati per un pranzo veloce. Buona la grigliata mista con contorni di peperoni slla griglia e friggiitelli. I peperoni alla griglia taglisti finissimi e quindi nn sono peperoni alls griglia. Comunque tutto discreto.

We had a lovely lunch here last week out on the terrace. I had the grilled cheese and then the Tranese cod dish with a side of grilled vegetables and my husband had the tagliere board and the lamb skewers. Everything was very nice including the service and ambience. The huge indoor oven is quite spectacular. Reasonable prices.

31/03/2024: Very friendly service with lovely home cooking. We also enjoyed the free taster dishes of some of their specialities. Although we were only in Trani for 3 nights, we couldn't resist going back for a 2nd time on our last night and received an even warmer welcome. The building was also fascinating. It was undeservedly quiet on both visits so don't be put off by this.
24/03/2024: Very friendly and welcoming owners! Amazing food on a hand written menu available in italian, english and german. "eggplant cake" was like a special lasagna and everything else tasted formidable as well. Ambiente is special and maybe not to everyones liking but definitively worth a visit!

07/04/2024: The only flaw is the long wait (Saturday evening) because they don't accept reservations. Pizza and appetizers are always good and genuine. I advise
31/03/2024: The staff welcomed us very helpfully even though we hadn't booked and immediately found us a place for two, even though I noticed that in a small way she was annoyed by this. The waiter who came to take the order was very pleasant and sociable. The restaurant is very welcoming with countless tables with heaters next to them to keep the environment always warm. The parking is excellent with a large area and a very friendly guard. The location is outside the city with a sea view, excellent for a night walk to digest. The waiting times were very short even though I had ordered the marinated octopus and French fries, a small note about the octopus, it was very pleasant to the taste but it seemed very dry to me when eating it, the plating was fantastic. The pizzas were very good although one came out slightly burnt. The price exceeded my expectations and I would have expected much more but instead it was cheap for what I ate.
