Fiori e Caffè - Ristorante e Dolcezze
Torino
11/01/2026: Excellent breakfast with fragrant croissants and endless cakes.
Also good for lunch.
Open the second Sunday of the month to coincide with the Gran Balon.
08/12/2025: The place is small and cozy, perhaps a little too close to the tables, but the service is attentive and friendly. We enjoyed some of the appetizers from the mixed platter. The yellow cherry tomato risotto was decent, but the tagliolini with porcini mushrooms was a bit less so (a bit bland, the mushrooms were probably preserved in oil). The desserts were delicious, and well-priced. The place certainly offers good value; it's hard to find better in this price range.

22/01/2026: 🍽️ Fusion – Turin 🍽️
A true gem in the heart of Turin 💎
Located on Via Alessandro Volta, in a super convenient location, just steps from the city center and all public transportation 🚶♂️🚋.
I had the pleasure of eating at this beautiful restaurant, where Domenico brings something truly special to the table ❤️
His cuisine is rooted in the South, specifically the Foggia area, and elegantly and surprisingly blends with Piedmont and Japan 🇮🇹🇯🇵.
What's truly impressive is the quality of the products 🌾🫒
Domenico proudly explains that the flour, oil, and many other ingredients come directly from his family—authentic, genuine products that make a difference with every bite.
🍣✨ Carefully prepared dishes, clean flavors, a strong identity, and a passion that is palpable.
An original, sincere, and top-notch gastronomic experience.
🔝 Highly recommended!
I will definitely be back 😍👏
11/01/2026: An interesting place offering a menu of unconventional dishes, especially (but not exclusively) fusion pizzas with ingredients drawn from both Italian and Asian cuisines, with surprisingly (and pleasantly) surprising results. The pizza dough is also good, and the atmosphere is very relaxed, quiet, with pleasant, low-volume music that doesn't prevent conversation at the table, and the staff is extremely friendly (which is not a given).

Al Gatto Nero
Torino
29/12/2025: After an hour's wait for our food, the overall impression was misleading. The setting was quite pleasant and suggested a quality experience. The breadsticks were already a bit soggy, and the service, while not unpleasant, remained mediocre, lacking any particular attention or genuine warmth.
The impression is that of a restaurant that undoubtedly enjoyed a very good reputation in the past, but which now seems to be on the decline, who knows? The food, in any case, proved to be quite ordinary, comparable to that of any average restaurant, without any particular distinction.
On the other hand, the bill was probably the highest we paid all week in Turin, even though it was most certainly the worst restaurant we visited.
Conclusion: Will we return? No
28/12/2025: One of our favorite restaurants in the city, fine dining without being overbearing, simply excellent, especially the traditional Tuscan dishes, a truly impressive wine list, and top-notch service.

Ristorante Da Mauro
Torino
15/01/2026: An excellent Piedmontese dinner with my friends at a historic restaurant in the center of Turin, where you can still enjoy excellent Piedmontese dishes and more. Impeccable service and a good selection of wines at more than fair prices.
15/01/2026: I've been going there for years, but now I'm very disappointed by the price level they've adopted in a dated, non-antique setting, which makes a big difference. The portions are smaller and the quality is no longer what it used to be.
It all makes me think they're the last generation. I won't be returning.

Rossopomodoro Torino Lingotto
Torino
30/01/2026: I had a wonderful experience at Eataly Torino overall. The tortello with radicchio was absolutely outstanding: perfectly cooked pasta, rich and well-balanced filling, and a level of care that really shows the quality of the kitchen. Everything else I tried was excellent as well, from the ingredients to the presentation and the general atmosphere. This is the kind of food that reminds you why Italian cuisine is so special.
However, I was deeply disappointed by the “hummus.” What was served is not hummus at all. It tasted like a sweet chickpea pesto mixed with carrots, with no resemblance to traditional hummus in flavor or texture. It may very well be something that some people enjoy—and that’s perfectly fine—but calling it hummus is misleading. If it’s a creative reinterpretation, it deserves a different name. When a dish is labeled hummus, expectations are clear, and this plate simply did not meet them.

HISTORY:
Many years ago, one of us attended an open air 'meeting' with about 900 other people regarding a novel new model of commerce in the food industry. The concepts of 'Slow Food' (the opposite of fast food), shortening the supply chain and food traceability were discussed. This meeting took place with the founder of Eataly on a raised platform in front of this building before renovation work on the old distillery had begun.
Going forward another few years, one of our coworkers came up with the comment that this location was "...the 'Disneyland' of food ..." This promoted some comment from others of us. Perhap that coworker should have said, "... Italian food..." but in any case, for us, this location IS a labyrinthian gastronomic playground.
LAYOUT:
Organized to explore. We felt on each visit that half the fun was in finding what we're looking for or discovering the surprise that was just around the next corner. This doesn't seem to be a 'I'll just run in and grab 'X'," type of place. It's big. None of us have ever managed to spend less than an hour here ... and we know all the hidden crannies! 🔎
ASSISTANCE/PROGRAMS:
Last time several of us visited they noted a courtesy desk just after the shopping cart area at the entrance. As they passed through the gates with their carts and grabbed a sales flyer, they turned left and it was there. As well as general information, this is where one can get info on the points card, gift cards and any other programs running at the time. They stopped by last time to cash in a bonus coupon.
Many of us have observed that most of the people on the floor are stockers and they're usually 'up to their eyeballs...' or 'on a mission'. People behind the counters are also busy but they have never failed us ... and seem to pay 'appropriate' attention to all customers ... including the ones who are just sharking for free samples 😇. When we talked to people on the floor who didn't seem busy, we found they were usually reps for a company or product that that company is promoting.
Aside from answering occasional questions and, of corse, at the various counters, shopping assistance does not usually seem to be the norm - it's supermarket style. Although, some of us have occassionally spotted a personal shopper situation, perhaps for a fairly large corporate purchase. On those occasions it was not clear if the person assisting the purchaser was independent or was a person from Eataly.
SELECTION:
We found it to be good ... but also variable. If we find something and we love it, it's usually there but it seems a certain percentage of items are either seasonal or stocked temporarily. We have not yet asked about ordering particular items. 🧭 We are all still busy exploring.
QUALITY:
Yes!
PRICE:
Um...
Well...
(-1.0 or -1.5 ⭐)
We have all found the prices of many items to be astronomical. On the other hand some items are 'at market' and there is a whole range in between. There always seem to be special offers to look out for (or to wait for). Each department has a cutout section and, at least in Turin, they take part in the 'Too Good to Go' program which aligns with the philosophy expressed in that meeting so long ago.
IN GENERAL:
Many of us have found a walk-through to be entertaining retail therapy. We all usually buy SOMETHING, even if it's small. Some of us like the points program and exploration facet, while others of us ... well, on their last visit a few days ago, let's just say they deeply regreted not buying that 'little' 1.4 KILOGRAM (!) wedge of truffle gorgonzola they tasted on their previous trip the month before!
Oh for lost opportunity! 🧀😭🧀

Ristorante Carignano
Torino
28/09/2025: We came for the hotel's 150th anniversary with Scabin's menu, and what can I say? An exceptional sensory, tactile, and gustatory experience. A menu that must be experienced and dressed like a bespoke suit. The dining room staff, Elisabetta and Nicola, masters of the place, are testaments to the soul of the chef and the hotel itself, whose soul they embody. A unique experience.
26/09/2025: An exceptional restaurant in every way. It was a great choice, as from the first moment you can feel the restaurant's special atmosphere.
We had the opportunity to try the Michelin-starred 250/100 menu. Some dishes are very original, surprising (and fun), and together they reflect the chef's career and culinary experience. Both the food and the pairing are of high quality.
The staff who served us made our stay very pleasant; they were extremely friendly and attentive at all times, elevating the experience even further.

Ristorante Pizzeria Entremetier
Torino
17/01/2026: Nice place. The food and drinks are good.
17/12/2025: A sweet place with nice outdoor seating. The pizza cost only 5.3 euros but was better than more expensive ones we had in the area. Our group frequented the place, and the staff was always friendly and accommodating.
