03/10/2025: I'm a bit perplexed. A truly beautiful location, nothing to add, just lots of compliments. But the Michelin star, combined with such a location, raises expectations. The 7-course tasting menu costs €110 per person, rising to €135 with wine pairings. The wines are truly excellent; it's clear there's been a lot of thought put into pairing them with the dishes. But what's perplexing are the dishes themselves: the dishes were bland, and there was absolutely no salt, and I don't understand how a restaurant like this could have such a lack. It seems, however, that this is precisely the chef's philosophy: using about 35% less salt in the dishes, using special cooking techniques to extract the salt directly from the vegetables. I think this information should be written on the menu, otherwise diners will be left feeling confused. Another thing that's a bit surprising is the price of the cheese platter: a trolley full of very interesting cheeses with the option to try them all. Too bad this was reflected in the final bill, an extra €90, €30 per platter (even though we ordered two). However, the standout dish is the egg with pecorino foam and a comfit cherry tomato base. So, that leaves a big question mark; the philosophy is nice, even just the fact that you never eat the same thing again, but honestly, it doesn't make me want to say "I'd go back."

24/09/2025: For our 50th wedding anniversary, our children gave us a dinner at the Dolce Stil Novo restaurant at the Reggia di Venaria Reale. It was a wonderful experience. We received the utmost attention from all the staff, including Chef Alfredo Russo, who came to welcome us. We enjoyed a wide variety of delicacies, from the aperitif to the final digestif. Every dish was carefully prepared and paired with well-balanced, high-quality wines. It was an experience we'd love to repeat in the future. Our heartfelt congratulations. Vilma and Giuseppe

11/09/2025: Hidden away in a quiet little village amongst many renowned vineyards, Gardenia offers classical cuisine with, to our pleasure, exciting wine pairings. What most stood out was the service, both during dinner and when it came to recommendations for the rest of our stay in Italy. The only small downside for us were the large portion sizes. We couldn't quite finish the whole meal. Thank you Lorenzo and staff for the lively evening!

06/10/2025: In Turin, honestly, I would have expected much more. A restaurant that claims to be fine dining should offer carefully prepared dishes and recognizable flavors, but unfortunately, the experience here was quite different. Overall, the dishes are bland, even in taste: lacking in energy, character, and a general feeling of "dated" but executed without passion. The mushroom tart, for example, could have been a pleasant autumn dish, but it's reduced to a bland preparation with a simple dash of mushroom flavor that doesn't live up to the promise of its name. The ravioli del plin, then, are completely off the mark: large, thick, with a flavorless, indistinct filling. Nothing in common with Piedmontese tradition, neither in form nor in taste. Even more disappointing is the wine list—or rather, the difficulty in navigating a selection that, while extensive, doesn't seem carefully crafted. In Turin, where excellent winemaking is a household name, one expects much greater attention and expertise in the selection. Overall, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The service was courteous but distant, the ambience lacking any particular distinction, and above all, the cuisine left no desire to return. A shame, it completely lacks substance. This restaurant needs to thoroughly rethink its approach if it truly wants to stand out in a city like Turin, where competition is high and the average level is decidedly superior.

12/10/2025: A unique experience! 5 adults plus a child, we ate from appetizers to dessert with two bottles of fine red wine! We recommend the cheese course, the stuffed onion, the rabbit, the plin pasta in roast sauce, cheek (if available), and the duck leg! Gentlemen, it's a 5/5, you can't go wrong. The owner and the table service were friendly and approachable! Loving people. A quiet place (reservations required) to which we wish the best.

31/08/2025: A little gem nestled in the Alps overlooking a lovely lake. The chalet is family-run, and you'll find a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Romina and Monica work tirelessly to ensure their guests are always happy. I've never seen so much attention and affection. Our room was small but had a truly beautiful terrace. There's no air conditioning, but despite the early August heat, it was incredibly cool. There are no mosquitoes, so sleeping with the balcony open and the curtains closed was enough. The cool breeze does the rest. The small lake is lovely, and the walk is truly pleasant. We decided to have dinner at the hotel, and we were right. Everything was delicious and freshly cooked by Monica! Romina is truly a force of nature, exuding joy and enthusiasm. Breakfast was also excellent, with several of Monica's homemade cakes and biscuits. We stayed here for two nights, albeit separately. It was the first stop on our trip to Great Britain and the last. We had a wonderful time and would be delighted to return again. Highly recommended!

Everything is perfect: the rooms are welcoming and spotlessly clean, the food is excellent and caters to any dietary needs, and the surrounding area is fabulous! We'll be back as soon as we can. 22/10/2025: Family-run restaurant. The menu is varied, featuring many traditional Piedmontese dishes. The portions are generous and generous. Excellent, fast, and courteous service. Reasonable prices.

19/10/2025: Used to go here in 2005 and was driving through Torino so I had to make a stop. Still an excellent restaurant. Very home with quality house red, excellent gnocchi, and wonderful steak on a stone or filet with Castelmagno cheese and pistachios. Wonderful desserts and items are marked if gluten free.

12/10/2025: We tried the pizza, but it was really disappointing. The dessert was good: I would have liked to try the zabaglione, but the waitress said the wait was really long, so we opted for the usual chocolate cake.

17/08/2025: A place where you feel at home. Excellent hospitality, friendly staff, and the chef's warmth and expertise. The dishes were excellent and plentiful. We tried the octopus as an appetizer, two first courses, including the fregola pasta, which was so abundant it seemed to regenerate itself as we ate it, linguine with tender and tasty baby octopus. Then the desserts: a violet Bavarian cream with a fabulous licorice coulisse, and a dark chocolate Bavarian cream with an orange coulisse.

01/11/2025: A must-try for traditional Piedmontese cuisine. It pleasantly surprised us and allowed us to sample all of Turin's great classics. Our favorites were definitely the creamed cod, the tajarin with sausage, and the braised cheek. All dishes are prepared with top-quality ingredients and carefully plated. You can choose between à la carte or a set menu. We found the atmosphere refined yet informal and the service prompt. A special mention goes to the excellent breadsticks served in a bread basket. Definitely a must-see in the city!

19/10/2025: It's a real shame that I haven't returned to this Turin restaurant in all these ten years, especially considering I live in Alessandria, even though we're only a few kilometers away! The meat is simply fantastic, tender and flavorful like you rarely find. The mushroom risotto is perfect, the raw meat, also with mushrooms, is also exceptional, and the pork tuna is truly remarkable. The first courses, carefully prepared and tasty, confirm the attention to quality and tradition. The impeccable, kind, and professional service completes an experience I still fondly remember. Special praise goes to the owner for his attentiveness and courtesy. This place truly deserves to be rediscovered.
