The atmosphere is romantic and elegant, perfect for enjoying time together without rushing. The cuisine is a perfect balance of tradition and creativity: refined dishes, top-quality ingredients, and surprising flavors. The service is attentive, professional, and never intrusive, making you feel truly pampered. The atmosphere is splendid, ideal for both a special evening and a high-end dining experience. 29/01/2026: I had dinner with my partner at this wonderful restaurant... Let me start by saying that my expectations were very high and they were met in the best possible way. The service was exceptional, kind and welcoming but never intrusive. The dishes were prepared with respect for tradition but never banal, with techniques and innovation, research, and a lot of love for the primary ingredients. I was truly amazed because Chef Alfredo Russo welcomed us to the table and wished us to enjoy the evening and the experience. At the end of the dinner, he came over to thank us and ask how we had enjoyed it... He is an elegant man, just like his restaurant, rigorous like the career he has built, but kind and gracious like his dishes. In short, an exceptional experience. I thank the restaurant, the team, and the chef for this magnificent evening.

07/03/2026: Ristorante Giovanni is one of those places in Turin that you never forget. You go there for good food, of course, but you return for something more: genuine care, attention to the raw ingredients, and cuisine that has personality without sacrificing restraint. The fried foods are simply extraordinary: light, perfect, never heavy. Mushrooms, artichokes, asparagus: in every season, they find a way to make themselves memorable. For me, they truly are the best. The service is always impeccable, discreet, never intrusive. And the atmosphere has a rare quality: it's quiet, discreet, and welcoming. Not noisy, not garish. A place where you eat well and still enjoy conversation, almost feeling at home. For me, it's become a favorite restaurant. And anyone passing through Turin should try it at least once. Then, they'll easily return.

12/03/2026: Passing through Caluso for a medical appointment, we decided to treat ourselves to lunch at this very famous restaurant in the area. Despite our delay (we arrived at 2:15 PM), we were greeted with great kindness and escorted to the main dining room on the ground floor. The restaurant is beautiful, with a refined yet not overly formal atmosphere. There are several options for lunch. We opted for a classic menu and a gourmet menu. The amuse-bouche were very interesting, particularly the one with Bra sausage, ricotta, and a mulled wine reduction. We continued with two fantastic dishes. Fassona beef tartare, although simple, was delicious. One of the best I've ever had, the quality of the meat was top-notch. The gourmet menu, however, began with a free-range rooster plin, Nizza cardoon, and Passito: the best stuffed pasta I've had this year. Leek risotto was very good, creamy, and had balanced flavors. They offered us a change to the gourmet menu: duck instead of the grilled Fassona fillet. We accepted the change; I think I did the right thing. To finish, a zabaglione with Caluso passito, expertly whipped, and torcetti. A cheese tasting was included. All accompanied by two glasses of Nebbiolo. All the leavened pastries and similar were also noteworthy. The service was professional, but deliberately not too formal. We spent €50 each, including water, wine, and coffee. I will definitely be back.

08/03/2026: Restaurant right in the city center. The place isn't very big. The menu is typical Piedmontese. The tartare was very good, but the veal with tuna sauce and the tongue with greens were also delicious. If you're craving a first course, try the tajerin or plin; you won't regret it. Prices are in line with the area. Reservations are absolutely essential. Recommended

22/02/2026: Family restaurant with good service. I recommend the vitello tonato - it is extremely delicious. We also ordered a schnitzel, which was not tasty. The breading was burnt on one side and too large. The meat was not the usual schnitzel. The portions are huge. The tiramisu is tasteless.

01/02/2026: If you're driving near Fornovo Val di Taro, leave the highway and head to Osteria Le Vigne (Varano de' Melegari) and treat yourself to a truly excellent lunch or dinner. The atmosphere, food, and service are all top-notch, making you wonder why the service can't be this good everywhere. In any case, it's a very unique place that offers traditional Parmesan dishes with a touch of originality. Excellent ingredients expertly prepared. A carefully crafted food and wine list. And to top it all off, an absolutely reasonable bill. Well done. Don't change!! 👍

15/03/2026: What a fantastic restaurant. Excellent home-cooked local recipes, with a friendly staff that made us feel like we were home. We loved everything, but definitely have the agnolotti. We tried several others during our stay in Turin, and Taverna’s was head and shoulders above all the rest.

09/01/2026: Truly an excellent, high-end restaurant, yet accessible to everyone. Every time I come, I try new dishes, and they all amaze me. The seasonality and quality of the dishes are this restaurant's strong points, but the setting and service are also very attentive. The cuisine is innovative and well-executed. The homemade dark chocolate offered at the end of the dinner is also very much appreciated.

16/12/2025: Dinner for two on Saturday (reservations required). Excellent food with sophisticated pairings. The staff pays close attention to guests from the moment they enter the restaurant to the moment they leave. The complimentary items are much appreciated, providing a warm welcome and farewell, even in an elegant setting. The dishes are tastefully presented. Despite the nearly central location, I had no trouble finding parking.

27/02/2026: Yes, the pasta dishes are very good and seasoned with pecorino cheese, but the prices are a bit out of control for this type of restaurant (16.5 euros for a first course).
