12/12/2025: I was pleasantly surprised by the service, the friendliness, the quiet atmosphere despite the size, they should pay more attention to not blacken the pizza crusts, good value for money, I will return.

18/03/2026: At dinner with friends in the internal room, we tried veal with tuna sauce, nervetti, mondeghili, and snails, and I must say they were good, even if the quantities were quite modest for the price paid. The risotto with ossobuco was delicious, but the braised meat didn't convince me. Good selection of wines, and the staff were extremely professional, very kind and friendly. The decor is beautiful, giving the location a warm, old-railway-style feel. Overall, good!

30/04/2026: The food wasn't up to par, with only the lobster being a good choice. Flavorless mussels; bland spaghetti. The waiter was friendly, but the owner was brusque and unpleasant. The atmosphere was nice, old-fashioned, but nothing special.

10/04/2026: One of the best places to enjoy fish, both raw and cooked. Excellent prawns, oysters, and an unforgettable pasta e fagioli. If you want, there's also excellent pizza; the price isn't cheap, but the quality and freshness of the fish are extraordinary. Update The location has also been renovated; it's modern, relaxing, and well-kept. Spectacular upgrade for the raw fish; the grilled prawns are also excellent. Today, in addition to the usual raw prawns, there are two spectacular first courses and three Delta oysters (very sweet).

17/04/2026: I've been frequenting this restaurant for many years. It's always been a go-to spot for lunch and dinner, offering excellent value. The restaurant is truly beautiful and quaint, boasting an excellent location along the canal. For lunch, there's a full menu of your choice for €18 (plus other options) with both meat and fish dishes, generous portions, and average quality. This restaurant's strong point was a fantastic fireplace for grilling meat. Lately, I've been disappointed with both the quality of the meat and the cooking (guests' requests weren't met), not to mention the price. Over the years, service has declined somewhat, as has quality, with prices rising, likely due to rising raw material costs rather than a commitment to quality.

12/04/2026: It's an old and well-preserved place, evoking tradition without compromising on current trends. The quality of the grilled meat is excellent. The appetizers are ordinary and not particularly high-quality. The service is lacking, and the overall price is too high.

03/05/2026: The place is the quintessence of ugliness, an insult to Milanese chic. The service is bored and unfriendly. The food doesn't reflect the menu: the house wine is of poor quality, the ingredients are cheaply purchased; the result: the pizza defies criticism, but the rest, unfortunately, doesn't. For example: dry, stale bread, like dry horse bread, a single sour cherry tomato in the Caesar salad, but the fridge is a sign of wealth: pineapples!

18/04/2026: I recently visited Il Cestino and had a fantastic seafood experience. The freshness of the seafood really stood out—from the oysters and scallops to the prawns and sea urchins, everything tasted clean, delicate, and well-preserved. The presentation on ice with fresh garnishes like lemon and greens added to the overall appeal.🥂

18/04/2026: This is a tourist trap! Read all reviews. Tourists beware!!!!! I am extremely disappointed in the “utube” influencer MW. He highly recommended this restaurant. From now on, I’m taking all influencers and reviews with a grain of salt. Our kids had the carbonara and had food poisoning…vomiting, Fever and extreme stomach ache. Looking at other reviews, many people had the same experience. ( hind sight is 20-20!). The rice and spaghetti not fully cooked. Crunchy and not clear on inside, not edible. The cutlet was extremely dry, hard and bland. It was also raw after being deep fried to make it so dry. See picture. It is very difficult to cook any deep fried dish as such. I’m not a chef and I can do a lot better. The server was very friendly at the beginning…excited that we were from the states. I assume Americans are suckers and good tippers. After we mentioned a few of the above his face and attitude changed 180. Extreme caution! Beware of this restaurant and the influencer!!!

During my trip to Milan we decided to have my birthday dinner in this restaurant and it was soo amazing experience.Just near the Duomo and we enjoyed sitting outside with a bottle of sauvignon Blanc,Marghetitta,And some pastas. Prices were little bit higher as it's in centre but nothing to complain about it.. Friendly staffs too

30/04/2026: A fantastic shellfish dinner with the perfect wine! I tried this restaurant where I found an incredible welcome, a really interesting menu and the recommended wine is perfect to taste the dish we chose: the "sea gratin". I recommend it to everybody. The location is taken care of and it is also possible to dine outdoors. The service is punctual and gives advice on the choices of the dishes and the matching wines. The mise en place is simple but elegant. You will be fascinated like me. I can assure you that it was a real pleasure for the palate! I will definitely be back. Few time later... Magnificent fish experience in Milan. I went back to the "Da Giulia" restaurant to celebrate a birthday and the staff immediately put us at ease, welcoming us very warmly and taking care to bring us the excellent Prosecco Valdobbiadene Brut from the Nani Ricci winery. The cook prepares spectacular dishes that have pampered and gratified the palate and the spirit. It will be due to the careful choice of raw materials and the skill of the chef, that we have not looked at the menu and we have been offered the best. So it was. A beautiful plateau of raw fish and crustaceans, a plate of raw red prawns and prawns, two dishes of gratinated crustaceans (incredible) and then followed with four first courses that we tasted and savored with the bottles of Prosecco that the sommelier indicated. But that's not all ... In the end, with the coffee they made us taste some homemade liqueurs ... with wild fennel, cedar and black cherry ... Divine! Perfect hospitality and extraordinary cuisine literally bewitched us and we left happy with a beautiful memory. Thank you all! We will definitely be back! We're back at Giulia's, and like every other time, it's a guaranteed delicious experience! We enjoyed appetizers like octopus (Octopus salad with potatoes and celery) and rock octopus on wild arugula, with cherry tomatoes and pink peppercorns. We continued with a wonderful grilled dish (Mediterranean scampi from Mazara del Vallo) and Mediterranean red shrimp from Mazara del Vallo), paired with a delicious Sicilian DOC white wine: a Grillo "Baglio del Cristo di Campobello" from Cantina Lalùci. To finish, coffee and a homemade black cherry liqueur. EVERYTHING FANTASTIC! Thanks to Giulia and her entire staff! You made us happy as always! See you next time!

25/04/2026: I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Giulia, on her birthday, too. She's an extraordinary person, brimming with experience. She told me the story of her childhood passion for cooking, with tools in hand ready to make her famous orecchiette. The staff was truly kind and knowledgeable: Mr. Fabio, a small, super-friendly, attentive chef, and the gallant Andrea, who recommended a truly excellent wine to accompany our order. The food was truly fresh and impeccably cooked. I was lucky enough to taste the tuna tartare and a giant sea bream. What can I say? Thank you all so much. We'll definitely be back soon.
