09/07/2026: We ate here for dinner at the suggestion of colleagues. Overall, we had a good time. We ordered the Milanese cutlet and side dish, but the breading was a bit hard to digest. Will try again.

22/05/2026: FINAL DISAPPOINTMENT I went to the Acanto restaurant on Sunday, May 17th, at 9:00 PM. After a short wait for the menu, I was handed one without prices (which I had the foresight to check online). I chose the tasting menu—all the photos are attached to the review—and I must admit I was quite impressed. I wonder if the "pink shrimp tartare sphere" dish was inspired by the famous "Volevo essere un pomodoro" (I wanted to be a tomato) from the Miramonti L'Altro restaurant. Despite this, I must admit that the Seirass ricotta gives the dish excellent balance. For drinks, I ordered still water, a small beer, and two glasses of white wine at the maître d''s discretion (the Vermentino di Sardegna was very good). I arrived at the end of the dinner very satisfied, complimenting the wait staff. I asked for the bill—photo attached—which already included a 5% tip; I still leave a well-deserved 5% tip (total €20). But then I realize I've been truly disappointed—and I'm not talking about the €17 Brancamenta, nor the €14 glass of Vermentino di Sardegna. I was charged €7 for coffee and €10 for still water, even though they were included in the tasting menu. When I kindly pointed this out to the hostess at the register, she initially tried to convince me I was mistaken, then told me she'd call the maître d' right away. As soon as she left, a waiter immediately asked, "The coffee?", as if it were standard procedure to try to include it in the bill. A few minutes later, the maître d' arrived with €17 in cash, apologizing for the incident and calling it a simple "typo." I almost got the feeling, however, that she found it funny that I was complaining. The problem isn't the €17 for a €200 dinner. The problem is ending a dinner that until that point had been perfect—thanks to exquisite dishes—with a bitter taste in your mouth, feeling like you've been scammed. For what, then? Losing a customer? Chef Gabrielli, is this really what you want for your restaurant? Mr. E. Indiani, is this the image you want for your hotel? Is this the hospitality you want to convey? P.S.: Please clean up the menu outside the gate; it's almost illegible.

07/06/2026: A regular place for two years now, the best pizza in Milan, nothing compared to the most renowned pizzerias. The atmosphere is simple and small, but managed with care and dedication by the always welcoming staff. The Panuozzo with buffalo mozzarella and a choice of cured meats, and the reheated pizza are definitely worth trying! Special praise goes to Flo, Davi, and Lorenzo, who are like family.

19/05/2026: Negative. I was planning on stopping for lunch, but they asked me to leave my bike outside on the street instead of on the outside veranda, in plain sight, even though there was no one around. I left and had lunch at a more courteous and accommodating place 3 km further on.

18/05/2026: A truly wonderful meal of meat with my classmates. Compliments, everything was excellent, including dessert, which, for me, who have a sweet tooth, alas, that portion of bunet at other places was enough for two! Thank you, you were so kind and friendly.

13/06/2026: A gem terrace in busy Milano. Delicious good, fast and attentive service. Good wine choice and nice vibe.

21/05/2026: It's always difficult to find a nice terrace in Milano that is not next to a noisy street. This one is truly exceptional. With the terrace next to the church of the Borromeo, it's not only a beautiful venue, good food and nice service, but also a piece of history. The atmosphere from April to October is Divine. This has been our to-go place in Milan for the last six years.

23/06/2026: Unfortunately, I have to give it a low rating. All the dishes we ordered were overly salty, completely covering up the original flavors of the ingredients. We struggled to finish the meal. A total disappointment.

We were 8 people and just because not everyone wanted to eat something (4 of us wanted), they didn’t let us in. Absolute joke. 25/07/2026: I had a memorable experience at this restaurant last year, as it was undoubtedly the worst lunch I had during my entire trip to Italy. It's infuriating that even today, some media outlets shamelessly promote it! This compels me to return and write this review. This renowned restaurant completely fails to live up to diners' expectations: the ham had a strong, unpleasant smell (it's not that I dislike ham, but the quality of this ham was far inferior to some supermarket brands), and the spaghetti was unbearably salty, making it difficult to finish; the only somewhat edible items were the bread, Tiramisu, and Trofie (meat sauce pasta). The Trofie, priced at a hefty €25, was inferior in ingredients, taste, and portion size to even my grandmother's homemade noodles with soybean paste (third picture), which often cost only €1. Objectively speaking, the restaurant's atmosphere was beautiful, which explains why everyone ordered a €6 Coperto. However, the arrogant attitude of some waiters was off-putting. They acted as if carrying plates in this upscale district made them superior, strolling over with their noses in the air to serve food or take payments, their affected manner utterly ridiculous. If you're simply looking for a beautiful dining environment and don't mind paying exorbitant prices for a "pretty" meal, then perhaps this place is worth a try; but true gourmets will likely find this tourist-oriented dining experience unsatisfying.
