05/05/2026: I declare this the best meal I've had in 2026! Both the noodles and the lasagna were incredibly delicious. The chicken was tasty, but the meat was a bit dry, so it wasn't great. However, all the other dishes were excellent!! Highly recommended! Also, the staff here were all super nice, incredibly attentive, and had exceptionally good service attitudes. They were very attentive, making for a fantastic experience. Sorry, we stayed until the very last table because of our anniversary, haha, making them get off work a little late~🥹🥹 Overall, although it's far from me, I'll definitely go back to eat here again! I hope they don't change the chef! And don't change the staff either! Ha ha ha ha Dichiaro che questo è il pasto PIù buono che ho mangiato nel 2026. Sia questa ciotola di pasta che la lasagna sono davvero deliziose. Il pollo ha un sapore buono, ma la carne è troppo asciutta, quindi non è granché. Però tutti gli altri piatti sono squisiti!! Lo consiglio vivamente. Inoltre, tutti i camerieri qui sono fantastici: hanno un grande senso del servizio, un atteggiamento gentilissimo and sono molto attenti, per cui l’esperienza è stata meravigliosa. Mi scuso un po’ perché siamo rimasti gli ultimi al Tavolo per festeggiare il nostro anniversario, facendo finire il lavoro un po’ più tardi a tutti～🥹🥹 Nel complesso, anche se è molto lontano da casa mia, ci tornerò apposta per mangiare qui! Spero che non cambino lo chef! E nemmeno i camerieri! Hahahaha

22/05/2026: Delicious local cuisine, a beautiful view of the lake, and friendly service. And it's in a quiet location. For mushroom lovers like me, I recommend the Capriccio di bosco tartufato – chestnut flour pasta with porcini mushrooms and truffles – delicious!

20/05/2026: Lunch with three friends. The food is good, the atmosphere is casual, and the view is splendid. Overall, the quality/price ratio isn't great.

08/05/2026: A fantastic culinary experience in the heart of Varenna! We had a wonderful time at this intimate and authentic restaurant. The lasagna was delicious, and my wife's daily special was equally exquisite. High-quality cuisine and attentive service. A must-visit if you're looking for homemade food away from the crowds. We highly recommend it!

07/06/2026: The hotel was beautiful, centrally located, and a truly peaceful place to come back to and enjoy the lake away from the more crowded tourist parts of Varenna. The biggest highlights were the unbeatable view, the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had (with the aforementioned view), and dinner at the attached Visteria (best meal I’ve ever had). The staff who work at the restaurants and by the pool are incredible - so friendly and helpful. The reception staff were a little less warm and could have been more helpful with shuttle transit upon arrival to Varenna and with securing dinner reservations. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

04/06/2026: The hotel and breakfast are average, but the price is far higher than what they actually offer. The worst part is that they charged me a €100 deposit which has still not been refunded. They ignore emails, promise to reply and then never do, and nobody provides a solution. To this day, I have not recovered my money. The customer service is disgraceful and the way this has been handled is completely unacceptable. I will not return and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

23/05/2026: A very cute restaurant on a side street. The food is excellent and the service is very good. The prices are fair, too. Highly recommended :)

23/05/2026: The location is beautiful, and the food is delicious. There are too many tables, it's quite noisy, and the price is a bit high, but it's worth it.

The hotel team was incredibly helpful and gave us the best advice on what to see and do in the city — tips that we never would have found in a guidebook. 18/05/2026: Wonderful hotel with incredibly nice staff. Very clean and I appreciate the lovely scented small bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash instead of those awful attached pump bottles. Sitting outside the back with that beautiful Lake Como view is heaven. Aziz, the bartender and waiter, was very nice and over the top helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

02/06/2026: They have a nice garden out back, saw some swans! I’d skip the influencer gate, that line looked crazy!

30/05/2026: We came to Villa Cipressi for a 2-night stay. We were actually very happy with our room, but the last night we tried to go to sleep at 10 before an early morning departure. The wedding party on Thursday was so loud that sleep wasn’t possible. On top of that, the fire alarm went off. When I spoke with the on-duty staff, I was told the music would end at 11. In addition, because of weddings at the hotel both days, key parts of the grounds were blocked off to guests. The next morning at checkout, the front desk employee apologized for disruption. Said they were trying to get away from old contracts that had music stopping at 11. Moving forward they are ending music at 9. My advice is to check what events are booked during your stay and how long music is allowed.
