11/05/2025: Papillon was recommended to us by a lovely boat-tour captain (located in Barbarano) aaand it was a great experience! Even though Google says they are closed from 3-7pm they welcomed us at 14:56 with open hands. Great location with an outside seating next to the lake. Smiley staff which can without any problem communicate in english and tasty food of course 🙂 thank you!

04/05/2025: The worst service and the food is average. It is a nice spot and deserves a better place. I think it’s on my top worst restaurant in Salo list.

31/05/2025: I was here on a Saturday night with a friend of mine, warm and welcoming environment with impeccable service. High quality food (try the beef fillet tartare) Normal price. I highly recommend it

08/05/2025: For the first time I can say that I appreciated a cuisine that I would define as experimental and innovative, but also linked to tradition, in fact there is an air of familiarity. Warning: fortunately it is not one of the usual gourmet restaurants with small portions, in fact the dishes were well proportioned to expectations! A series of unique flavors and truly impeccable service accompanied us on a dinner, a dinner that became a true six senses experience! An experience definitely worth repeating! All this was accompanied by a walk around the center of Orzinuovi which is a town that is certainly worth a short visit before enjoying a nice dinner, naturally here at the L'Antica Rocca restaurant.

26/04/2025: The pizza is really very good, and for this reason I'm sorry to have to leave a not entirely positive review. Unfortunately I encountered problems with the home delivery service. On the Google profile it is indicated that delivery is available until 8pm, but on the first call I was told that they did not deliver for a single order (a pizza and a coke). On the second call, although it was still within the indicated time (7.41pm), they informed me that deliveries ended at 7.30pm. I understand that there may be organizational needs, but it would be correct to update the information online to avoid misunderstandings. It's really a shame, because the quality of the pizza deserves more precise service.

01/05/2025: Sehr guter Service und feine Küche auf hohem Niveau. Die Preise und der Anspruch erinnern an ein Michelin-Restaurant, jedoch fehlte bei den Gerichten das gewisse Etwas in der Präsentation. Geschmacklich überzeugend, aber beim Anrichten wäre noch Luft nach oben. Solide vier Sterne – für den fünften fehlt der letzte Feinschliff.

01/05/2025: We had dinner in this restaurant last week with my girlfriend and we had an appetizer, two first courses, a second course and a dessert and a bottle of red wine, all really excellent. As for the impeccable service, the waiters were all very kind and courteous. The prices are a little higher than other restaurants in the area but given the quality of the dishes it is worth it. We will definitely be back

18/04/2025: Very good pizza, very wide variety of both pizzas and types of dough, but also of many other dishes, especially fish; I personally tasted the pizza, the highest Neapolitan-style one, margherita with buffalo mozzarella, and it was very good and with a soft crust, although a little heavy. However, excellent quality ingredients. Friendly staff and very quick service despite being full. Location perhaps a little small in relation to the number of tables, which makes it appear a little crowded and chaotic, but still well looked after. Prices normal. Highly recommended!

19/05/2025: Edit to the owner: Thank you for your response of 05/19/25 Before you cry foul and threaten me, which also amounts to legal action on my part. You'll notice that the review is from 8 years ago. I'm not supposed to know that the management of the establishment has changed. So, learn to read and this will prevent you from being made to look like someone you're not with this ridiculous comment. For the trouble, it's downgraded to a 1*. Beautiful location, beautiful decor of the dining room and exterior. The wait time for a table was decent, the staff were friendly but not very welcoming. The food ordered was good, but nothing special. I expected a little better.

19/05/2025: The new owner is sending aggressive responses to poor reviews which took place before they took over in March 2024 apparently . Due to THIS reason, and not the original reasons I wrote over 3 years ago, this is clearly not a place I wish to visit again. As requested, I deleted my old review (2star) and posted a new review (1 star) with my current experience of the restaurant.

05/06/2025: We are two people. It was a gloomy evening and the restaurant was fortunately not full. Definitely excellent food, homemade sea bass ravioli with a truly fragrant and well-defined fish filling. Tagliolini with clams were delicious. The second courses were equally good: cod with chestnuts, truly special, and char with almond flakes and special fragrant herbs. Coffee brittle with meringue and delicious cream!!!...Sorry, I took a picture of the dessert a little too late!

12/04/2025: Ottima pizzeria, l'abbiamo provata in quanto ospiti della struttura alberghiera, e devo dire che siamo stati veramente bene. 02/06/2025: As for the food, everything is perfect. A very tasty octopus salad, for example, was a starter. A very good steak. The location is fantastic, with a view of the mini harbor. Only the service could be friendlier. They just get the job done, without being particularly friendly or attentive. There's still room for improvement...and the prices are a bit high.

26/05/2025: Everything is beautiful and delicious. High quality in their products, I highly recommend it. The staff was all very kind. We had a really good time.

17/05/2025: We were told it was quite busy and we'd have to wait up to an hour for the pizza. In the end, it only took a good 40 minutes. The pizza was delicious, and the service was very friendly and polite despite the rush.

02/06/2025: Absolutely fantastic food and service. The place was packed, so we probably had to wait a bit for our food. Unfortunately, the restrooms are neglected, so one point deducted.

03/06/2025: Welcoming place and exquisite staff. Excellent and fresh dishes, good value for money for the area: We took 2 first courses and a shared second course, half a prosecco, 1 water and 2 coffees.. spent €83 I recommend it. Satisfied!
