30/03/2025: Très déçus de l'accueil et surtout du service. Dommage parce que le cadre est sympa et la cuisine bonne. Touristes fuyez surtout si c'est un serveur d'un certain âge portant de lunettes aux cheveux grisonnants attachés en catogan, nous ne sommes pas les bienvenus.

12/04/2025: “Al Gatto Nero”: tutta scena e niente sostanza Questa sera ho cenato al ristorante “al Gatto Nero”, a Cernobbio, noto ai più per la sua posizione panoramica sul Lago di Como e per essere uno dei locali preferiti da George Clooney. È il classico ristorante che, a sentirne parlare, promette meraviglie: eleganza, alta cucina, atmosfera esclusiva. Peccato che, una volta seduti al tavolo, la realtà si sveli per quello che è: una delusione ben confezionata. Sì, la vista è splendida. Ma non basta. Perché tutto il resto – e dico tutto – si ferma a un livello che definire turistico è già generoso. Il servizio? Talmente rapido da sembrare frettoloso. In un battito di ciglia ci hanno fatto ordinare, servito, sparecchiato. Neanche il tempo di assaporare un bicchiere di vino, e già arrivava il piatto successivo. Una cena che sarebbe dovuta essere un’esperienza, è diventata una corsa contro il tempo. Senza calore, senza cura, senza nessun senso dell’ospitalità. La cucina? Una sfilata di banalità. Piatti scolastici, pensati per un pubblico internazionale privo di pretese, senza identità, senz’anima. Nessuna raffinatezza, nessun sapore che lasci il segno, nessuna emozione. Il menù sembra costruito a tavolino per soddisfare le aspettative di chi vuole “l’italiano medio da cartolina”: pasta, pesce e qualche richiamo locale, ma tutto annacquato, semplificato, addomesticato. È il classico posto che vive di nome, location e celebrità. Una macchina ben oliata per intrattenere turisti americani in vacanza, in cerca del ristorante “dove va Clooney”. E forse a loro va anche bene così. Ma per chi cerca davvero qualità, autenticità e una cucina che rispetti il luogo e chi lo visita con rispetto… beh, è meglio guardare altrove. Il Lago di Como è una meraviglia italiana. Ma questo ristorante, francamente, no.

29/03/2025: An address we like, a typical restaurant, impeccable service. Ideal setting. The dish of the day, namely, seafood pasta, was a delight. This is an address that we highly recommend, we will come back.

23/11/2024: Posta scotta Piatto alla siciliana servita con prezzemolo,invece che basilico. Spaghetti alle sarde; un piatto al dente, uno scotto. Troppo caro per quanto offre.

15/10/2024: A little bad... maybe it wasn't .......... A way of responding to people 😌. I understand the tiredness ☺️ of your day at work. Without hating anyone 😌. When you work in places like shop assistants I pay attention to the customer they must be attentive but kind, I understand your attitude towards foreigners but there are not only foreigners who do harm 😌. And not even working people.

17/09/2024: Convenient and nice place at the Turati metro exit. Plenty of seating inside and out. Welcoming and kind staff. The pizza and cheeseburger were very good, but the roast potatoes accompanying the cheeseburger were cold and soggy... Too bad! Average prices in the center of Milan.

07/04/2025: Il locale è carino, a due passi dalla piazza vecchia e il cibo è buono così come il servizio è rapido. L'unica cosa negativa è che i prezzi esposti all'esterno erano diversi rispetto a quelli del menu

04/04/2025: Locale caratteristico. Menù con poche portate che a me piace molto. Si puó scegliere tra 4-5 primi, 4-5 secondi e 3 contorni. Prendendo 1 primo e 1 secondo con contorno si paga 16,50€ a testa, escluso il coperto e il bere. In 2 abbiamo speso 41€. Abbiamo mangiato piatti tipici come i casoncelli (così così), i pizzoccheri ottimi e di secondo tagliata di manzo molto buona e come contorno abbiamo scelto uno spinaci e l' altro polenta. L' alternativa sarebbero state patate arrosto. Un locale semplice con poche pretese dove ci siamo trovati bene. Lo consiglio

06/01/2025: The Metropole enjoys a very exclusive location directly on the lake. There's no more beautiful place than sipping a red wine on a lakeside balcony and enjoying the magnificent view. The rooms are small and were only partially renovated. A general renovation is currently underway, and we're excited to see the results. The restaurant was never worth mentioning. We rarely had breakfast there. Here, we hope for a more beautiful interior and, above all, a more appropriate dining concept... Current opening year: 2026...

12/11/2024: I already know this place from its old place. Now there are fewer tables but the cuisine remains excellent and the staff friendly. I go there regularly and always order a fish first course and a pizza to share. The pizza is really good without taking anything away from the fish which is really fresh. I recommend this restaurant

10/01/2025: My sister and I loved staying here while visiting Lake Como. A wonderful location with an exceptional view. The staff was very helpful with recommendations for going out to eat, as well as getting around to the other towns on Lake Como. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection and a wonderful view! Free parking and a lovely balcony view! The room was a little the smaller side but still very comfortable.

16/03/2025: I recently visited this restaurant and, unfortunately, my experience was not the best. I ordered a wholemeal pizza with tomato sauce, basil and cherry tomatoes. The pizza, unfortunately, had a very hard and dry texture, almost cardboard-like, making it almost inedible. The base was not well cooked and lacked the softness expected from a good pizza. Furthermore, the tomato sauce had a decidedly acidic flavour, which did not harmonize at all with the other ingredients, and the quantity of cherry tomatoes and basil was very small. The lack of balance between the ingredients and the poor quality of the preparation compromised the overall taste. In addition, the prices were quite high in relation to the quality offered, which unfortunately did not live up to expectations. Considering the quality level of the pizza and the price, I would suggest an improvement in the preparation processes and selection of ingredients. I hope that the restaurant can take these aspects into consideration to improve its offer and guarantee a better experience for its customers, also given the excellent location in the center of Sesto Calende.

08/03/2025: We took the pizza by the meter in various flavours, the toppings are more than plentiful, the taste of the pizza is excellent, an explosion of flavor depending on the taste of the pizza chosen, plus it's difficult to finish it, in which case they leave the take-away pizza package for you to take away! I recommend the fried food while waiting for the pizza to arrive... it's special!

30/03/2025: Bad manners from the moment we arrived. One of the waiters who escorted us to our table wanted us to leave from the moment we first arrived. We ordered two carbonaras, the ones with raw egg yolk. I've never eaten carbonaras that disgusting. Neither my son nor I could eat them. We witnessed the rudeness of another waitress who threw the pizza plate at a customer, who got very upset and complained about her behavior. I don't recommend eating there. The worst experience of my life.

28/10/2024: Vino a almorzar basado en las críticas. La comida era bastante buena, pero el servicio era horrible - estábamos tan apresurados que o querían volver a dejar la mesa o querían despejar el restaurante lo antes posible! Pedimos un aperitivo y luego pedimos nuestra comida y vino. El entrante llegó sin apenas arrancar nuestro aperitivo. El vino llegó a mitad de nuestro entrante antes de que hubiéramos terminado nuestro aperitivo. Y, tan pronto como mi esposa había colocado la última boca llena de su entrante en su boca, su plato fue batido y nuestra red se colocó frente a nosotros! ¡Ni siquiera había terminado de masticar la última boca llena de su entrante! Aunque la comida era razonablemente buena, toda la experiencia fue una que no nos gustaría repetir.

09/10/2024: Sehr schöne Location am See mit hervorragendem Essen. Verschiedene Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte probiert, alles sehr empfehlenswert! Der Chef und das Personal sehr zuvorkommend.

14/04/2025: Nuestro último día y vinimos aquí para almorzar. No podíamos fallar. Para mí el mejor tiramisú de la historia y he tenido uno todos los días! Un montón de "mejor" dicho por todos. Excelente servicio al cliente también y una vista para morirse.
