19/07/2025: We were renting down the street and popped in for dinner. It was a pre-fixed menu with multiple courses and allowed us to taste many delicacies. We really enjoyed the fried gnocchi and zucchini. The server was so patient with us with the language barrier. I would highly recommend stopping by to have a real feel of a small hillside town!

17/07/2025: A real taste of Italian food in the hills above Chiavari. A place you do not want to miss out on. We got served a set menu from the sea and the land. Both the food and the service were fantastic. It is only 10 minutes away from the touristic beaches but it feels like you are in a different world where you feel like you are treated to a good meal by your mother or Nonna! I definite must go for everyone who wants to experience the real Italy 🇮🇹

29/06/2025: From the moment we sat down, dining at Oca Bianca felt like a true discovery. The staff was warm and attentive, and every dish — paired with thoughtfully selected wine — was outstanding. The menu stands apart from anything else we encountered in the region, both in creativity and execution. After two weeks of eating our way through Italy, this was easily the most memorable meal of the trip. Missing it would be a real shame.

07/06/2025: Ottimo. Nonostante la logistica non sia delle migliori (siamo in una via modesta da zona industriale) entrando cambia il mondo. Un locale raffinato. Personale gentile e capaci, persino i "giovani di bottega" all'altezza della situazione. Pietanze di ottima qualità anche nella presentazione. Lo consiglio.

28/06/2025: Everything is really well thought out, the products are tasty, quality, the plates are beautiful, the desserts are succulent, especially the tiramisu and the sorbet, and the service is impeccable. It may lack background music when the atmosphere is still calm, but when the restaurant fills up the atmosphere is appreciable and the background music is not so necessary so it's ok.

17/07/2025: There were not many people, but we waited for a very long time. The food was not bad but nothing special for a portion of 45€ I expected more. In total we left there 122€ and I think it is not justifiably expensive. After we paid for dessert 30 minutes passed, and we asked where our dessert was, and only after 30 minutes they started to prepare it. I do not recommend everything for very long.

14/07/2025: A wonderful menu, delicious cuisine, a magnificent setting full of history and good taste, and above all simply excellent service, right up to dessert when our charming waiter prepared the tiramisu at our table...an unforgettable experience!

19/07/2025: The welcome isn't exactly the best (typical Genoese), but the ravioli are truly excellent and the price is very fair. They also have various vegan options.

16/06/2025: I returned to this dream place for an aperitif.....aperitif formula €20, too bad they bring very little compared to what I remembered last year, a small square of focaccia, a shrimp with mayonnaise and a quarter of a brioche with a little ham, end of the aperitif, we were all a little disappointed. Luckily the place is worth it... the view is fantastic, we are locals and I don't know if we will return

09/06/2025: Unique experience❤️ The restaurant is located inside the Hotel Vis à Vis and offers a spectacular view of the Baia del Silenzio and the Baia delle Favole. The location is beautiful and the atmosphere is something magical! Refined dishes and quality raw materials. We had a risotto with wasabi and oysters, a large raw fish where there was also sushi prepared by the chef and finally a sea bream in salt accompanied by potatoes and vegetables (the fish was cleaned so well that we didn't find even a bone, congratulations!). The service was impeccable: kind and helpful staff. To conclude they offered us a small tray of pastries and some liqueurs made by them, which were also delicious! The quality/price ratio was also excellent. Everything lived up to expectations, highly recommended!

05/07/2025: Excellent dinner at the tavern, eating so well and spending less than 50 euros for 2 is priceless. 2 portions of Focaccia di Recco, spaghetti with mussels and linguine alla carlofortina… 2 waters and cover charge 49 euros…

11/06/2025: Siamo stati accolti con grande gentilezza e disponibilità dai titolari, che si sono distinti per cortesia e professionalità fin dal nostro arrivo. Nonostante il pesto non fosse in menu, lo hanno preparato al momento appositamente per noi, dimostrando un’attenzione rara verso il cliente. Il piatto era ottimo, preparato con cura e ingredienti freschi.

17/07/2025: Nice place, friendly, professional staff. Excellent food. The trofie with sea bass and lemon were delicious. Pesto gnocchi were very good. I'd like to point out a mistake: "You should write that the tamosello dish has peas." Not everyone likes them. We had 2 first courses and 1 second course. Water and 1 glass of wine. Average price.

20/06/2025: This is always a very safe place to take any foreign (foresti) friends to taste proper Genoese food. I loved the usual trofie al pesto and pansotti al sugo di noci, but the most impressive dish time time were the gnocchi with chestnut flour and pesto. Melting in your mouth. Plus a proper Pigato that reminds you of the sea and all the good things that come with it.

30/06/2025: We originally booked a family room at the Hotel Continental. My wife booked here because she liked the decor (fish themed). We were informed when we tried to check in that we were being moved to the Savoia. I asked if we could stay at the Continental and was informed it would have to be approved by a manager, which at the time, after traveling all morning with the family, seemed like a hassle. The room at the Savoy had a pull out bed which was too short for my son and uncomfortable for both my son and daughter to share. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant on the 7th floor and had a bad experience. First off, the head waiter was rude and very short with us because we hadn't made a reservation despite the fact that the restaurant was practically empty. He seated us inside, although there were tables on the patio that were unoccupied for the entire duration of our time there. We really didn't mind sitting inside but if he wanted to, he could have easily moved us to the patio. Then, my wife and I both ordered a glass of local ligurian red wine and when I requested a second glass, the waitress (who seemed genuinely fearful of the head waiter) brought a different, already opened, bottle to our table. She poured me a glass, and from simply smelling it, I could tell the wine was bad. It tastes like vinegar . I told her the wine was bad, and asked for a different glass, preferably the same ligurian wine I had ordered earlier and she simple said no and took the glass away. I was still charged for the glass. One good experience was at the upstairs bar, which is why I have given a 3 star review instead of a 2 star review. The bartender was great and we had a good experience there earlier in the day. Overall, this was not a good experience and I would not return.
