Da O' Vittorio In Recco

The recommended white wine was good. The focaccia was moist and good. The Seabream fresh pasta was light and decent. The owner and staff were friendly, which made me feel good.

We traveled from Milan specifically to try this historic and renowned restaurant, drawn in by the many Instagram reels showing inviting dishes. Unfortunately, the experience didn't entirely meet our expectations, especially regarding the quantity/price ratio. What didn't work was the Recco focaccia. From the videos, it looked like a generous and rich portion; in reality, for €10, we were served three decidedly thin and "poor" pieces, one even burned! For the first courses, we ordered pasta with country-style pesto. The flavor was good and savory, but the presentation and richness of the ingredients left much to be desired; there was only one green bean and the potatoes were almost invisible. It's unfortunate to say that service to "non-regulars" is so lacking for such a famous establishment, but we had the distinct feeling that there's a disparity in treatment (both in portions and attention) between regulars/acquaintances and those, like us, who are out of town and are seen as "passing tourists." What worked The five fried anchovies were very good, fresh, and a fair portion for the price. Overall, the food is tasty, but for the prices charged, the presentation and the generous portions leave something to be desired. It's a shame, but given the trip and the small portions, we're unlikely to return.

The focaccia di Recco is spectacular, and not only that, but also excellent first courses. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

THE BEST! It was amazing to book at O ​​Vittorio on the day of the focaccia festival! Not only did we avoid the huge lines, but we also tasted the best focaccia in Recco, even according to the locals 😍 The place is welcoming, well-decorated, and very fresh; the tables are spacious, and the bathroom is clean. The food is EXCELLENT! The focaccia is out of this world, but everything else, from appetizers to first courses to desserts, is top-notch. Besides the focaccia, we had the amberjack tartare, grilled squid, trofie with pesto, and for dessert, a chocolate cake with strawberry namelaka—delicious! Their Pigato wine is also good. The icing on the cake is the kindness of the staff, especially Ignazio, who was patient with our requests, honest, and very friendly. I was sorry I didn't get to say hello 😭 I hope to return soon, especially because the value for money is unbeatable. A wonderful discovery!

This magnificent restaurant is strategically located off the highway. The welcome makes you feel special (and we're in Liguria, so we understand that!), with numerous rooms all furnished with antiques that make you feel like you're in a beautiful museum. The Recco focaccia is a 10+, clearly the consortium's original recipe. The service is friendly, but it gets a bit slow when it comes to transitioning from one part of the meal to the next, which is no big deal. The first courses are good, and the desserts are superb and varied, not the usual fondant heart cake and crème brulee.

I stopped in Recco for dinner at a restaurant. I recommend booking in advance. Excellent food, the Recco focaccia was simply exceptional.

We ate really well at prices we haven't seen in years. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Overall, a positive experience, stress-free, and very friendly staff. Good for a quick escape from the routine. 😉
