01/04/2025: I should start by saying that I was born and have lived in Sanremo for 50 years. I have recently moved to the Foce neighborhood, so I pass by this place twice a day. I suggest to a friend that we stop to eat at this place (I had never been there). We arrive and there are 2 tables occupied. I ask to eat outside in the outdoor area and a guy in his forties (with an annoyed look) shows me where to sit. First the tablecloth is brought (the outside tables are not set) then a blonde lady arrives and "throws" the napkins with the menus on the table (my friend wanted to get up and leave), then the cutlery arrives, then the breadsticks arrive. The guy who made us sit down, always with the calmness of a sloth, asks us what we want to eat. I ask if it is possible to have a margherita pizza with the addition of fresh artichokes (since it is in season) and a fried fish and I ask if they serve beer in a mug (it is not mentioned on the menu) The request is granted (quite an effort) The 2 beers arrive After a while 2 pizzas arrive and I say that 1 pizza and 1 fried food was ordered. The boy/owner returns to the table and claims to have understood 2 pizzas and I say that he misunderstood. Macabre surprise, the pizza was cooked in the oven with the artichokes and not put on the pizza at the end of cooking 🤐 The fried food also arrives, practically rubbery! After about 35 minutes I ask for the bill which is brought to my table €42 total We get up and leave saying goodbye and thanking (no reply) Being in the profession and having attended a hotel school, where the rules of service are the basis of catering, I do not recommend the place.

28/03/2025: Very good. Exceptional pesto first courses, both the testaroli and the exceptional mandilli. The Mosciamme tuna appetizer was a great discovery, with a not very inviting name but if - like me before - you don't know what it is, try it! Super characteristic place, right from the alley.

24/03/2025: I had dinner there with my family on a Friday night out of season. It was the only full place in Spotorno... and it was no coincidence. It is a spartan and welcoming "old style" beer house, with a wide selection of pub cuisine and pizzas. I actually ate the pizza: huge and very tasty. My kids really enjoyed the trofie with pesto and the mixed fried food. If you are not looking for a fancy and luxurious place but are looking for substance, hospitality and "warmth", then you will love it. The quality/price ratio is truly excellent, with a delicious amaro offered by the very friendly and welcoming manager. We will be back!!!❤️

15/02/2025: At the Cavallino Bianco you can eat well. We both went for lunch where we had a fixed menu, with small portions but everything cooked properly. Happy with lunch, we returned for dinner where we ate an excellent paella accompanied by sangria as well as a truly remarkable dessert. Congratulations to the managers.

08/02/2025: Restaurant where you can taste good fish dishes well made with quality raw materials. The lobster tagliolini are excellent. The service is quick and attentive, the premises would need greater customization and modernisation.

01/04/2025: An insult to catering – To be absolutely avoided A place where rudeness reigns supreme, respect is non-existent and incompetence is served directly at the table. The staff is a real management disaster. The height of rudeness was reached by the head waiter Alessandro, who stands out for his uncommon arrogance, with a rude and annoying attitude, completely inappropriate for the role he holds. The customer is treated like a nuisance, with an arrogance that leaves you speechless. The attention towards food intolerances is almost zero, to the point of becoming dangerous. As a celiac, I asked for information on gluten-free options, receiving an annoyed response: “We have gluten-free pasta, but it takes time to make it”. A response that denotes not only poor professionalism, but also a total lack of sensitivity. To avoid problems, I chose the fish crudités, believing it was the safest option. Too bad the dish contained a soy-based sauce, or gluten served on a silver platter. No warning, no attention, no apology. The most absurd aspect is that, shortly before, I had been assured that the soy-glazed octopus could be prepared without it. So the problem was very clear, yet the risk to my health was ignored with unacceptable superficiality. Celiac disease is not a whim, but an autoimmune disease. Serving gluten to a celiac is equivalent to endangering their health, and a restaurant that is not able to manage these needs should simply avoid offering gluten-free dishes, rather than doing so with negligence. Such a mistake is unacceptable, especially after having clarified the problem several times. This is not just incompetence, but a total lack of respect for the customer and their health. To make matters worse, the menu does not even list allergens, a serious and unacceptable absence. When I asked for information, Alessandro answered in a terse and annoyed way, as if it were a burden to have to guarantee an adequate service. Unprepared staff, zero attention and an experience that to define unpleasant is an understatement. An offense to the restaurant and an insult to anyone who has the misfortune of sitting at one of their tables. The food is not bad, but the obscene treatment and the total lack of professionalism make this place to avoid without hesitation.

04/02/2025: Very nice and elegant restaurant Excellent service and staff. Good quality price too high for the quality that is served (in my opinion). Gluten-free option, it's good for those who ''eat gluten-free on a diet'', it's absolutely not good for a celiac!

14/03/2025: We ate spaghetti with scallops and drank Portofino spritz. It was very successful. It was expensive like everywhere else. It is in the city center so it is a very quiet place.

07/03/2025: Small, familiar place in an alley overlooking the square. Courteous and helpful waiter, good food and low price range compared to local prices. I recommend it!

07/04/2025: Sehr freundliches Personal. Wunderschöne Lokalität. War nun schon das zweitemal da. Das Essen ist vorzüglich. Spezielle etwas ausgefallenenere Kreationen. Sehr schön und geschmackvoll angerichtet. Tolle Weinkarte. Kann ich wahrlich sehr empfehlen. Meine Frau war begeistert wohin ich Sie ausgeführt habe.

06/04/2025: Cuidado con la conversión dinámica de divisas La factura vino en Euros, cuando me entregaron la máquina para contactless Supuse que sería en euros, pero se habían convertido a la libra esterlina. Me sentí un poco estafado, especialmente porque la comida no era tan buena

08/03/2025: I didn't like it. Portions are not large, very little fish on the plate and there is not all this quality compared to what you pay. Desserts then €7. I wouldn't go back.
