25/07/2025: Unfortunately, a huge disappointment – we left hungry. Despite the many good reviews on Google, our visit to this restaurant was a huge disappointment. The elderly waitress who served us was extremely unfriendly and barely communicated with us. She brought the bottle of wine, but without wine glasses – for which we then had to wait over half an hour. My wife's pasta only arrived after a longer wait, but she waited until my dish was served – which took another 20 minutes. By then, of course, her food was already cold. My dish – lamb ribs – was unfortunately completely inedible: extremely tough, full of hard pieces of fat, and impossible to chew. After this evening, we left disappointed and still hungry. Given the many positive reviews, we wonder if they are truly authentic – or if we were just unlucky. In any case, it was a disappointment for us – both in terms of service and food.

18/08/2025: Excellent lounger and umbrella service. Poor restaurant with prices on par with a Michelin-starred sheik. Seafood tagliolini with no seafood, just one clam and a mussel, the rest just shells. Unfriendly and rude waitress, owner with a nose in the air, and more.

14/08/2025: Excellent hospitality. The facility is complete with every comfort. The food is excellent and varied. Perfect for children and the elderly. I especially noticed the cleanliness. A well-deserved 5 stars.

18/05/2025: Abbiamo preso 2 volte il pesto e le trofie qui. La prima volta abbiamo sbagliato la quantità ed erano troppo poche. La seconda volta in 5 ne abbiamo preso 1.5 kg. Il pesto è davvero davvero buono. Assolutamente da provare. Anche i pansotti con il sugo di noci sono davvero buoni. Promosso a pieni voti!

03/05/2025: 25 minuti di coda per sentirsi dire che erano stati preparati solo degli gnocchi e non era disponibile altro per il take away. Per correttezza, forse, sarebbe stato opportuno un cartello all'esterno del locale per avvisare.

22/07/2025: It was like being in paradise, pampered and with excellent food from the restaurant and also very kind and courteous service in a breathtaking location.

03/07/2025: We booked but even though the table wasn't ready when we arrived, we waited 15/20 minutes. When we ordered they didn't have many choices of wine or at least they had one bottle per brand (there were 8 of us). The service wasn't very attentive, for what we paid (60€ per person) they didn't bring us breadsticks or anything to nibble on while we waited for our dishes. For the rest, the quality of the food was excellent

14/06/2025: Siamo stati a cena giovedì. Esperienza molto positiva. Mi sono fatto consigliare da Alessandro ( il titolare), alcuni piatti tipici e devo dire che i suoi consigli hanno pienamente rispettato le mie aspettative. Piatti caratteristici e di ottima qualità. Alessandro si è intrattenuto a parlare con noi (cosa molto rara in altri ristoranti) e ci ha illustrato alcuni piatti tipici della cucina ligure. Personale qualificato e cortese. Giusto rapporto qualità/prezzo. Stasera ci tornerò a cena!

05/06/2025: Cibo spettacolare, ho cenato con dei deliziosi gnocchetti al pesto e impepata di cozze come secondo. Attenzione eccellente da parte del personale di sala! Super consigliato.

24/07/2025: Excellent pizza, even gluten-free, but beware, this place isn't certified, so they cook all the pizzas at once, which isn't good! Even though the gluten-free pizza was in an aluminum pan and covered on top, I had to ask them to put it in the oven on its own... So we didn't have any problems... otherwise, go elsewhere.

19/07/2025: Prenotato alle H20 chiedendo di avere il tavolo fuori. Arrivati con un po'di ritardo (colpa nostra quindi), il tavolo non c'era. Ho segnalato di aver chiesto un tavolo fuori e mi è stato risposto in maniera davvero sgarbata dal responsabile con la giustificazione della pioggia. Per fortuna si erano appena alzate altre persone e ci siamo accomodati. Per dieci minuti circa nessuno ci ha considerato, nemmeno per portare il menù. Alla fine ho chiamato il cameriere per dirgli direttamente cosa volevamo. Per una pizza e un calzone...40 minuti di attesa mentre altri clienti, arrivati mezz'ora dopo di noi, hanno ricevuto le pizze in pochi minuti e prima di noi. Nessuno, dai camerieri al responsabile, ci hanno mai chiesto se fosse andato tutto bene. Per fortuna, almeno, la pizza era buona. Una volta era meglio.

11/07/2025: Siamo tornati quattro mesi dopo un’ottima cena. Che delusione! Cosa è successo? Antipasto di tonno crudo minimale (50 g al massimo), poi orata al sale per due (circa 700 grammi al modico costo di 80€) di sapore salmastro, per finire dolcetti di modesta fattura. Una bottiglia di vino da 40€ che su internet si compra per 15€. Insomma circa 210€ per mangiar male. Cosa resta di positivo? La splendida vista sul golfo e su tutto Il ponente ligure. Amen.

22/05/2025: Casi siempre marcamos la opción "Vista Escénica" en los filtros TA, pero se nos permitió elegir durante nuestra visita a la ciudad costera de Camogli, Italia. A menudo nos preocupamos un poco por los restaurantes basados en hoteles que tememos que hayan terminado, con un precio que cubre sus gastos generales extensos, pero Il Doge valió la pena la pequeña prima. Los langostinos a la parrilla eran algunos de los mejores que habíamos probado - condimento encantador, cáscara principal cortésmente quitado, cocinado justo para estar tierno y jugoso. Tenía la pasta de mariscos que era delicioso. Una ventaja adicional era que su terraza tenía toldos y el clima pronosticaba algunas duchas que pasaban por allí. Así que pudimos sentarnos bajo su protección y disfrutar de nuestras vistas panorámicas a pesar de un toque de inclemencias del tiempo.

12/05/2025: Locale accogliente dotato sia di sala interna che di giardino. Personale cortese ed attento, pronto a spiegare la struttura del piatto. Pane e pasta sono fatti in casa. Servizio veloce e preciso Davvero eccellenti i ravioli ripieni di pesce con pomodorini e scampetti. La spinta del limone si sente e rende il piatto fresco e bilanciato. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo

We ordered pizzas (Margherita and Marinara), which were cooked very well, with plenty of toppings (perhaps I would have used a little less garlic in the Marinara because there was really too much, but the flavor was still good). Friendly staff, and prices absolutely in line with the products. I recommend it!

01/08/2025: Un ristorante molto autentico, con un arredamento in stile marinaro – proprio il tipo che ci piace! Purtroppo però, le aspettative riguardo al cibo sono state rovinate da un servizio assolutamente pessimo e arrogante. Tutti i camerieri si comportavano come se fossero stati costretti a lavorare quella sera oppure come se avessero fretta di andarsene e volessero sbarazzarsi di tutti i clienti il prima possibile. Un atteggiamento davvero inspiegabile nei confronti degli ospiti: sia all’ingresso – dove tutti ti vedono chiaramente mentre aspetti un tavolo, ma ti ignorano completamente – sia quando cerchi di ordinare o fare una domanda, ti rispondono con un’aria da favore concesso. Il cibo era nella media, niente di speciale, anche se almeno fresco. Abbiamo preso i calamari alla griglia, ma il sapore è stato rovinato da un amaro sgradevole, segno che il grill non era stato pulito bene. The restaurant is not exactly a cheap place: if you pay too much, you can eat as much as you want and pass a very small amount. Perhaps we won't pay too much for the fare. A very authentic restaurant with a nautical theme - exactly the type we like! Unfortunately, the expectations regarding the food were ruined by the absolutely bad and arrogant service. All the waiters acted as if they were forced to work that evening, or as if they were in a hurry to leave and wanted to get rid of all the customers as soon as possible. A truly inexplicable attitude towards guests: both at the entrance - where everyone clearly sees you while you are waiting for a table, but completely ignores you - and when you try to order or ask a question, they respond to you with an air of absolute favor to come up to you! The food was average, nothing special, although at least it was fresh. We had grilled squid, but the taste was spoiled by an unpleasant bitterness, a sign that the grill had not been cleaned well. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant: when you go out for dinner, you want to eat well and have a pleasant evening. Unfortunately, we were able to do neither.

30/04/2025: Il ristorante è composto da una sala interna di media grandezza, un pò buia e una parte esterna porticata. Il menù della casa costa 35 euro escluso le bevande con 4 antipasti tipici liguri, 1 primo 1 secondo e dolce. La scelta si limita fra due primi piatti edue secondi di carne . Pur di qualità la materia prima, i primi sapevano di poco ( soprattutto il ragù), discreto il coniglio. Servizio abbastanza buono e personale gentile. Dato il prezzo, mi aspettavo di poter scegliere tra più opzioni.

28/04/2025: I Gumbi è un ottimo ristorante dove poter mangiare se vi trovate a dover soggiornare o anche solo transitare per Dolceacqua. Il locale offre piatti tipici locali con prodotti freschissimi, su tutti spiccano i Tagliarin Verdi e il coniglio alla Ligure. La struttura è ricavata all'interno di un vecchio frantoio creando così un'atmosfera di altri tempi.
