10/05/2025: The Old Stable: Where Weddings Don't Make Dust Ok, let's put it this way: facing a wedding dinner is often an act of courage that requires strategic reserves of patience and the ability to simulate interest for hours. I'm usually a "crazy ball", let's say it openly! But today, at the "Vecchia Stalla" (and yes, the name makes you think of anything but wedding banquets based on fish with a sea view, and here is the beauty and the first comic point!), something unexpected happened. The fish-only menu was already a good sign: goodbye, kilometric rounds of mixed meat and greasy first courses that knock you out after two courses! Here we went for cleanliness, the flavor of the sea. And what a flavor! Everything, but I mean everything, was really very good. The fish was fresh, the preparations were carefully prepared, in short, the taste buds were grateful and did not feel weighed down for the next 48 hours. And the view? Wonderful, it almost made you feel guilty for looking at the plate instead of at the infinite blue out there. A real show. But the real, unexpected, sensational strong point? The speed! My goodness, these went like missiles! Dishes that arrived and disappeared from the table with a synchronicity that is miraculous for a wedding. No embarrassing downtime, no blank stares waiting for the next course, no "now what do I do for the next 40 minutes?". No, here was a continuous stream of goodness whizzing by. Fortunately, I add, because my tolerance for wedding boredom has its well-known limits, and today they have not been tested in the slightest. On the contrary. In summary: a wedding lunch at the "Vecchia Stalla" is the perfect solution for those who love newlyweds, good food (excellent fish!) and breathtaking views, but have a serious, very serious allergy to weddings that last as long as a Homeric epic. Impeccable service, standing ovation food and a speed that gets you back on track in an instant, ready for... the post-prandial nap not on the napkin. Highly recommended...

12/05/2025: Ottimo locale all'aperto, forse un pochino troppo ristretto ma accogliente, il cibo abbondante non da eccellenza ma buono, il personale gentile e cordiale, molto veloci nel servizio e precisi complimenti ! siamo rimasti tutti soddisfatti, prezzi nella media. Se capita nuovamente ci torneremo sicuramente !

10/05/2025: We ended up there by chance and had a great time, the tagliolini with clams and seafood were delicious and above all the fried calamari as it should be....fast and very kind staff, furthermore the price is right both for the quality and also for the portions...I will definitely return, Davide and Francesca from Pavia.

16/04/2025: Very nice and elegant restaurant Excellent service and staff. Good quality price too high for the quality that is served (in my opinion). Gluten-free option, it's good for those who ''eat gluten-free on a diet'', it's absolutely not good for a celiac!

25/05/2025: This restaurant is the best one i visited in my travels in italy. The owner of the restaurant is an amazing woman who hosts and provides service like being in her living room. Her husband, a very talented chef, is pleasant and kind. The style of the restaurant is warm, homely, the food is very high quality and rich. The Tartufo is not shown in the pictures but inside there were lots of big peaces. I visit many Michelin restaurants around the world, and this is one of my favorites. I guess that if the fight person will come and visit they will get a star. ⭐️

06/01/2025: Ristorante sulla riva del mare, splendida location. Piatti elaborati, tutto davvero ottimo. Fritto leggero, primi piatti delicati, camerieri molto gentili ed attenti. Deludenti però il dolci: la chiffon cake era un tortino asciutto e troppo cotto, il tiramisù nulla di eccezionale.

05/03/2025: Couple avec deux enfants en bas âge, nous avons été très bien accueillis alors que nous n'avions même pas réservé. Très bel accueil et en français ! Restaurant kids friendly avec chaise haute et un accueil très chaleureux. La cuisine est délicieuse. Nous y serions bien revenus si notre séjour était plus long. Notre grand de trois ans a même terminé son assiette de pâtes ! N'hésitez pas. 1 entrée, 2 plats de pâtes, 1 plat enfant, 2 desserts, 1 bière : 90 €

09/05/2025: Perfect, magnificent setting, very friendly waiter, and typical food from the region. We found it to be very good value for money, the plates were well stocked.

08/06/2025: I would like to point out that the restaurant was full of customers, including school groups. We had booked for 3 adults + infant, we ordered 2 first courses and a fish grill, the dishes were served cold and of mediocre quality. The bill also included a cover charge for the little girl, for whom the meal was shared with the writer.

31/05/2025: FRIDAY MEAL MAY 30, 2025 LUNCH SERVICE: So... it's not my habit to leave bad comments, preferring to leave good comments where I enjoyed myself and to tell myself that I was unlucky when there is a mistake (and that others will not experience this) but sometimes you have to unfortunately take the plunge. So, tourists... be careful! Food-wise... no (too) much of a problem! I'll start by myself if it's not very polite for editorial reasons. Gnocchi with truffle cream for me, nice portion and tasty. My wife will have a sea bass, also very good. Too bad the sides are extra, we can understand, it's written on the menu, what is not written on the menu is that "grilled vegetables" at 6 euros... it's 3 small slices of zucchini and peppers put on the grill. Very expensive for what it is. But the worst... is when the bill comes and that's the point of this comment! The bill arrives, less than €60 on the receipt, everything seems to fit. I give my card to my wife, ask her to go and pay, and then, either we're unlucky, or when we don't speak Italian, it's well rehearsed. In fact, the person who takes my wife's payment throws away the receipt with the amount that my wife hadn't seen, speaks quickly and we don't understand anything (they know from the start that we don't speak Italian) and my wife just leaves. It's only in the evening when I go through my expenses that I see this receipt... 9 euros more than what was planned! I go over the prices and what we ordered (I have a very good memory) and come across the price of the first receipt, with both vegetables and coffee, the cover/service ratio. My wife will only understand the trick when I tell her that she was cheated on the price and everything will come back to haunt her. Indeed, we don't throw away the bill beforehand so as not to be able to check, we don't create a diversion so as not to see what is happening. So indeed, we are responsible, we should have looked and seen at the time. This comment is especially for you future tourists passing through, be careful! Afterwards, we don't speak Italian, even if we had realized it we might have had trouble explaining ourselves. Thank God, during our 2 days in Italy and 4 restaurants, we were only cheated on this one, the others were really great, so we will keep a good memory of Italy! And we will take this with a smile, it seems that we are not a real tourist if we haven't been cheated 🤣

18/05/2025: Very friendly staff, especially Sara during the rich breakfast. Kind and helpful at the reception. In low season they offered us a sea view room at the price of the garden view. Large and free parking. Excellent location to visit Tellaro and Lerici.

12/06/2025: I was there for lunch with my partner and we enjoyed an excellent pasta. We ate outside, on a lovely veranda, but unfortunately the rain prevented us from fully enjoying the view, which would be worth appreciating.
