08/06/2026: The food was alright, but it didn’t really impress me. At this price level, I expected more, and it was a shame that the duck was served cold. What really disappointed me, however, was the lack of care shown around my pregnancy. We mentioned during the reservation that I was pregnant, and repeated this again on arrival. Since I don’t speak Italian, my Italian friends explained my pregnancy and dietary restrictions clearly in Italian. When ordering, we specifically asked whether the tasting menu could be adjusted to be pregnancy-safe, and the staff confirmed that it could. Despite this, I was served several items that are generally not considered suitable during pregnancy, including chicken liver pâté and undercooked meat and seafood. We had specifically requested a pregnancy-safe tasting menu and were assured that the necessary adjustments would be made. Having to identify these issues ourselves and send dishes back for further cooking should not have been necessary. It also felt unprofessional that, despite being visibly pregnant, I was offered wine several times throughout the evening. Once a restaurant is aware of a pregnancy, I would expect more attention to detail. For a restaurant at this level, I expected much greater care and professionalism, especially when it comes to food safety and dietary requirements.

29/05/2026: I had a good experience at Retrobottega. It is not a traditional Roman restaurant. The kitchen uses Italian ingredients but prepares them in a more modern and creative way. It is a nice place if you want to try something different from the classic dishes you find around Rome. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is good, and the food is prepared with care. I enjoyed my meal and would happily come back on a future visit to Rome

04/06/2026: It's located right in Termini station. If you're lucky, you can get a seat and they'll serve you your drinks. You have to get up and buy your own food. There's a wide variety of options, and everything is very good. Four couples of us went for dinner two days in a row and had no problem getting a table. The only thing worth mentioning is that on the second day, we ordered eight large beers as listed on the menu, but two of us received liter bottles instead. We spoke to the waiter, and he very kindly replaced them for us. Great atmosphere.

03/05/2026: If I had to pick one place to go back to, it’s San Marco Pizzeria and that’s after a full 45-day food trip across Italy (my stomach deserves an award). Out of all the pizzerias I tried, this one quietly took the crown. No fuss, just a simple margherita that somehow ruined all other pizzas for me. One bite and I knew—this is the one. I paired it with an artichoke appetizer (very Roman, very correct decision), and here’s the shocking part: I usually eat a slice or two… but this time? I finished the whole pizza. No regrets. I also tried a few grilled fish dishes and calamari—everything I had was consistently great. Effortless, simple, and seriously delicious. I’d go back in a heartbeat… or right now, if teleportation were a thing.

01/05/2026: I'm very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the service was slow and truly awful. The food wasn't up to par: the seafood salad was clearly overcooked, and the carbonara had a completely curdled cream. Without a doubt, the worst carbonara I've ever had in Rome. I want to point out that this isn't my first time here, and I know very well how a real carbonara should be prepared. This makes me even more disappointed. A carbonara this bad is a real disgrace to Italian cuisine, especially in Rome, where this dish originated. Furthermore, the prices are far too high for the quality. I strongly advise against coming here: there are many other restaurants in the area that are less expensive and offer much better quality.

The location is spectacular, the staff is friendly and helpful, the food is refined and excellent, the young Chefs Sabrina and Martina offer excellent quality. We appreciated the attention to detail of Cecilia, Salvatore, Domenico, and Francesco, who pampered and looked after us every step of the way, making the day perfect. We felt at home 🥰

02/06/2026: Perfect day! We chose this venue, even though it's far from our home, to celebrate our son's first communion! We were immediately struck by the location, a place where we could forget the chaos of our busy lives and be pampered by a young, attentive staff! We took advice from Chefs Sabrina and Martina when choosing the menu; every dish was carefully crafted, using top-quality ingredients! We couldn't have made a better choice; our guests were enchanted by the location, the food, and the attentiveness of the entire staff! We will definitely choose Villa Euchelia again for our special occasions!

14/06/2026: Green pepper steak: SPECTACULAR! The hotel (Cilicia Hotel) where I stayed recommended this restaurant to me for lunch. And they were right: the hospitality, friendliness, politeness, and customer service are paramount! Truly exceptional food, perfectly cooked, and above all, top-quality! I highly recommend it.

We had two first courses and two small appetizers. 1 potato croquette 1 cacio e pepe omelette 1 cacio e pepe 1 fish risotto 1 water Total: just under €21 per person The food was good. The portions were adequate. Prices were average. Considering the prices around here, it's okay (the restaurant is located in a neighborhood outside the tourist center). First courses average €14-15, with something for €12-13. Wide selection of pizzas. Friendly service. I recommend it.

17/05/2026: An absolute discovery in Rome! The Neapolitan pizza was simply outstanding – airy, perfectly baked dough, high-quality ingredients, and absolutely delicious. And the crust was divine – super fluffy. Add to that an incredibly authentic atmosphere, far removed from the typical tourist traps. Almost exclusively locals, which speaks volumes, and that's precisely what gives it its special charm. If you want to experience real Italian pizza, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

02/06/2026: 10/10! I stayed in the hostel across the street and just stopped by, the food and drink are perfect! I ordered Hugo spritz, eggplant Parmesan and rice with seafood. The bar tender lady and the gentleman chef are very nice and friendly and the food is so good! Not just the taste but also the size as you can see how big the plate is. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
