05/10/2025: A superb experience at this central market in Rome, with a wide selection of fresh produce prepared on-site. Everything is beautifully presented and tempting to be savored. Sweet and savory, there's something for everyone. We loved our focaccia, poke bowl, sandwiches, and pizzas. You'll have tables and chairs at the far end, otherwise you'll have to order takeout. The advantage is that you can order your drinks directly using the QR code and your table number. This time, we had grilled chicken, a burger, stewed meat, and ice cream. Once again, we were won over by everything. It's worth noting, however, that the prices are still relatively high.

23/08/2025: It's always a shame for me to leave a negative review, especially when the location is truly delightful: small but meticulously maintained and with a pleasant atmosphere. For this very reason, I believe constructive criticism can help both the owners, helping them grow and improve, and future customers, helping them have a more satisfying experience. During our dinner, however, several inconveniences arose that I must point out. As soon as we sat down, we found the placemat dirty, likely not replaced after the previous service. A detail that alone wouldn't have ruined the evening, but unfortunately it was the first in a series of oversights. We ordered a first course to share and two second courses. Unfortunately, the tagliatelle with lamb ragù was so salty that it was difficult to enjoy. The wild boar meatballs, however, arrived cold and partly burned. Finally, the sliced ​​beef: we weren't asked how it was cooked, and, without a proper knife for serving, we were faced with overcooked, very salty, and difficult to cut meat. A real shame, especially since the prices were decidedly high compared to the actual quality of what we were served. I sincerely hope these observations are helpful: the location has potential, but the cuisine and service deserve more attention to live up to expectations.

I tried the amatriciana and saltimbocca alla romana, both cooked to perfection — simple ingredients turned into something unforgettable. The pasta was fresh, the sauces rich but balanced, and the portions generous. Even the bread and olive oil were top quality, setting the tone for a real Italian meal. The atmosphere is elegant yet unpretentious, with a cozy garden area perfect for long lunches or relaxed dinners under the trees. The staff were attentive, kind, and genuinely proud of what they serve, which made the whole experience even more special. If you want to escape the touristy restaurants and enjoy real Roman cuisine in a peaceful, authentic setting, Scarpone is exactly where you should go. A timeless classic that captures the true spirit of Rome.

11/10/2025: We ate divinely! As a Laziale, I was so touched by the sight of Totti's shirt, but jokes aside, the supplì were excellent, just like everything else, and the prices were very fair!! Highly recommended!! I'll definitely be back!

The Sardinian dishes (malloreddus and cheeses) are a guarantee of exquisiteness, and the desserts are delicious. The menu offers various meat, fish, and vegetarian options.
