01/08/2025: A small restaurant near the Vatican serving truly delicious traditional Roman cuisine. One aspect I truly found to be an added bonus was that, although traditional recipes like carbonara, amatriciana, and so on are accompanied by grated Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top, the cheese is brought separately to be added at the customer's discretion. Of course, the egg in the carbonara was mixed with the cheese, but the amount didn't overpower the flavor. A pleasant discovery, definitely worth trying.

05/09/2025: Unfortunately, something has changed, definitely the pizza chef. The "lungissimi" (long pizzas) are no longer "lungissimi" (long pizzas), they're very short, they've become half as long and shrunk by two-thirds. Before, you struggled to finish one, now if you eat two, you're still missing something. The "lungissimi" (long pizza) arrived very short, and the pizza arrived with holes, burnt, and thin as tissue paper. However, if Dante was a given before, now he's a disappointment. After politely asking when the pizzas would arrive, since we'd been waiting for 50 minutes and they'd already served the people seated after us, he responded in a somewhat surly manner, annoyed. It's not my habit to write unpleasant reviews, but I try to do them logically and constructively, not just for the sake of saying negative things. When you're a customer and you feel badly treated, it's right to express your opinion. This is definitely just my opinion, plus the value for money is absurd. The quality definitely wasn't there at the time, and the price was €39 for two pizzas and a bottle of water—you be the judge! Try it and believe it!

18/09/2025: A great little place for a plate of pasta! Staff was friendly and helpful (even to a non-italian speaker) don't expect anything fancy but do expect some incredible, handmade pasta at an incredible value!

16/09/2025: One of the best pastas we've had in Rome! It was totally unexpected. When we saw that everything was served on paper plates, we didn't have high expectations, but we were really surprised by the taste! The pasta is super cheap, but the portions are also very small... But it's quite good for traveling, since you can eat somewhere often :)

17/10/2025: I'd heard about this place, and we finally went. The place is cozy, but parking is a disaster...nearly impossible; you have to park on the street or in the nearby alleys. The food wasn't great; the appetizer was dry cured meats, and it didn't have cheese. We asked for some, but it wasn't available (right on the menu), and some grilled bread...ditto. The pasta was good, but the portions were hospital-sized...what else?? Just pay and go!

12/10/2025: We had a portion of fried porcini mushrooms, nothing special, then two main courses. The meat was good, but the fillet arrived cold and the lamb was overcooked. I'd been there once before and remember eating very well, but I don't know, this time I wasn't satisfied.

08/09/2025: We can say everything is normal, only that when I left I discovered that I had paid for 8 bottles of water instead of 2... thanks for charging me €15 like this👏👏 I'm only sorry because I used to come here often, but after this I don't think I'll go back, I don't think it's a mistake because you could make a mistake of a bottle or 2 but not 6 bottles of water.

07/09/2025: We ate at La Francigena Bolsena because of the good reviews. All guests were greeted with disrespect by the very bad-tempered waitress. At first, we thought the waitress was only being like that to us, but as the evening progressed, we realized that she treated everyone else badly. The restaurant is actually beautifully located in an alleyway with a great atmosphere. The menu, drinks, salt, pepper, and food were slammed onto the table without the waitress even looking at us. At the next table, an Italian tried to get vinegar for his salad, but the waitress simply ignored him. The food is at the level of a chip shop, and the pizza is one of the worst in all of Bolsena. I don't understand the positive reviews. My recommendation: go somewhere else.

10/09/2025: Slow and inattentive service, mediocre dishes (in the fried fish, 2/3 of the dish was fried courgettes!) In Rome, eating quality fish is a real drama!

23/04/2025: Unique room created from a period building with enormous fireplace, convivial tables, few seats. There is therefore intimacy and the proposal with local foods, mostly self-produced, is refined and excellently executed. It remains possible to socialize with Anna and Marco who are more than happy to explain the courses and more, but also linger to share wine and chat with the diners. A rare possibility in modern catering, at least in cities. Considering the care and rarity of the proposal, the prices are correct.

23/07/2025: La struttura è immersa in mezzo alla natura, il personale è accogliente e gentilissimo. I piatti sono deliziosi. Ho preso ' C'era una volta' sono tornata indietro nel tempo, alle domeniche a casa di mia nonna. Per non parlare dei dolci, con un tocco internazionale! Cortesia e prelibatezza. 19/07/2025: Nous somme allés en couple dans ce restaurant de montagne car il étais bien éclairé, une grande terrasse et non loin de notre location Trois hommes impeccablement habillés de noir nous ont accueillis respectueusement et malgré notre italien désastreux, ils ce sont occupés de nous avec empressement et rapidité, tous les 3 on fait des efforts pour nous comprendre et nous expliquer tous les plats, merci à eux. Cannelloni succulents, pâtes au champignons locaux délicieuses Nous avons pris un secondi, deux plats c'était trop, j'ai pris un gâteau maison frais et léger, un régal Allez-y les yeux fermés nous vous le conseillons et pourtant étant cuisinier je suis très pointilleux

08/06/2025: Delicious ravioli, like children, we counted them, so we ate the same number... True. Finally, I understand Italian cuisine. Plus, in a campervan, it's super quick with a little Canonau rosé; life is good. We recommend it to everyone without reservation.

23/04/2025: Good, professional, always available and innovative, meticulous in detail...and also friendly! Even if it seems the opposite, I didn't receive any money for writing these two lines, in fact, I actually gave some to the creator of this happy place (not too much I must say) but I had such a good time that I couldn't help but introduce this talented and knowledgeable chef. Mine wasn't a hopeless case, I didn't have to learn how to make a cutlet and at home we ate more than decently, but what I learned here was the magic of doing, of smiling. I have attended at least ten schools where they make you bone two fish and come with the basics ready, here every single bite is made from scratch, everyone participates and the raw materials are delicious.
