12/10/2025: Historic place with discreet and professional staff, quick service even in case of overcrowding which denotes an excellent organization, but the price is not always adequate for what is offered, in the sense that some excellent dishes make others that are sufficient clash.

11/10/2025: I simply lived this restaurant. The decor and attention to detail. From the fresh flowers, the porcini mushroom, harvest table , linens and my favorite plates,it was simply a beautiful Roman restaurant. Our host knew what to order for us fettuccine with porcini then the most tender guancile ( pork cheek) we had ever eaten. I had a ravioli with a very light and tasty sauce. The red wine from the Aldobrandi estate paired perfectly with our meal. The desert was tiramisu and it was good. The cantucci with fennel liquor was a delicious finish. Highly recommend!!!

04/09/2025: In the charming Jewish quarter of Fondi, La Giudea offers a culinary experience that goes far beyond simple pizza. The outdoor tables, set on the medieval basalt slabs under a portico framed by historic homes, create an intimate and charming atmosphere, perfect for a summer evening. We began with a selection of fried foods that to call excellent is an understatement: croquettes, supplì, zucchini flowers, and battered cod with pepper cream that will remain etched in your memory for its lightness, balance, and flavor. The pizza, soft and well-topped, recalls the Campania tradition without being overly thick, a carefully crafted dough that showcases every ingredient. The craft beer list is surprising, featuring quality Italian labels, and the wine selection, though smaller, is well-curated. Making the evening even more enjoyable was the company of Maurizio, the pizza chef and the soul of the place: passionate, welcoming, and always ready to share the story of his craft. His attention to the quality of the ingredients and the digestibility of the dough is evident in every dish. La Giudea isn't just a pizzeria: it's a journey through authentic flavors and local history, led by someone who truly loves what they do. Highly recommended.

04/11/2025: A family-run Italian restaurant. Excellent ingredients. The food is superb, and the servers are genuinely friendly, professional, and welcoming (a far cry from previous reviews, but that's typical of France!). You'll dine in a restaurant near the Trevi Fountain on a busy street, allowing you to experience a truly authentic Italian moment, the kind many dream of. Highly recommended!

30/10/2025: Today, October 30, 2025, we had lunch at this historic restaurant just steps from the Trevi Fountain. We had a wonderful time; it felt like stepping into another world, far from the chaos of everyday life. The service was elegant and never rushed like at other restaurants in the city center. Below are photos of what we ordered. We'll definitely be back.

05/10/2025: We found this place randomly after repeatedly getting disappointed by every Tiktok and Reddit recommendations of where to eat in Rome and throughout our Europe trip. It was also during protest day so we weren't sure if they would open. I would definitely recommend showing up when they open (7.30 PM for dinner). There was no sign in front so go by address. We were let in by one of the family members that ran the restaurant. Most of the seats was reserved by locals coming in later. Let me tell you I am writing this review BEYOND MAD. MAD I didn't have the stomach to eat everything on the menu. MAD now I have to justify coming back to Rome just to eat here again. And ABSOLUTELY MAD didn't eat here all three days of our trip instead. Yeah I'd definitely eat here for both lunch and dinner! Yeah I'd cancel a Michelin reservation to eat here instead! If I only had 2 hours in Rome I'd spent 1 hours eating here, 30 minutes digesting, and then another 30 minutes eating here again! I really hope this place, the lovely people that runs it, and the local community that sustains it, continues to care for this beautiful piece of Rome. I selfishly hope this restaurant never have the misfortune of becoming popular on Tiktok or other socials and turn into another soulless tourist trap. I hope it maintains it local charm, excellent food, and sense of community for several generations to come.

15/07/2025: The best food is usually at places that don't brag. We walked by this place 4 or 5 times before we knew it existed. Only two English menus is a sign of authenticity.

04/11/2025: Excellent raw materials, expertly prepared. A wide selection of dishes, including excellent pizza, with a very digestible dough. Friendly staff. Outdoor seating is available in an area with two paid parking lots nearby. Worth a try.

13/10/2025: I've been in Italy for over two weeks and this was by far the best food I have had. Everything was so delicious. The drinks, the aperitifs and the main meal. Even the bread with the local olive oil was delicious. The service was also great. You need to come here if you're in Viterbo. I highly recommend this place.

27/08/2025: Experience 🔝 We dined here two nights in a row. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming (there's seating both inside and outside the restaurant). The staff and the owner were extremely kind and friendly. The food was EXCELLENT, from the appetizers, the raw fish (we tried shrimp, scampi, and oysters), the fried dishes, the first courses, the second courses, and even the desserts (the brownie was amazing). Prices? Affordable and fair, especially considering the excellent quality of the ingredients. Highly recommended, we'll be back!!

Not to mention the friendly service we received, even though they only speak Italian and little English, they tried hard to make us understand. Price-quality ratio. 12/11/2025: The essential mystery of this place is the name. In a city full of restaurants being ostentatiously old world-y, this one stands out for being very, very contemporary. Not always in sensible ways - having the entrance to a medium-sized restaurant be an unmarked passage in the back of a much smaller wine bar causes equal parts confusion and congestion. The drawer full of cutlery choices does not mix well with high tables and stools - a comfortable sitting position makes it nearly impossible to retrieve anything without standing up. This is all outweighed by the food. It's smart, elevated takes on (mostly) Italian cuisine, with an eye to global trends but most of the focus on how to heighten flavour while maintaining balance and cohesion. While you could find the tiniest of faults here and there - the pork main was just a tad under-seasoned, for instance - several dishes were quite literally perfect. The pumpkin risotto on offer that night was one such example, with incredible depth of flavour balanced by warming spice and a perfectly al dente texture. I'm not sure I've ever tasted a better one. The mackerel starter was similarly superlative, though completely opposite in composition and flavour profile, speaking to the kitchen's versatility. The wine list is also very good, trending towards the natural end of the spectrum which is fine by me. You may need to be assertive about preferences (the first person I discussed my choice with was great, but the second didn't actually wait to hear what I wanted before running off and grabbing a glass of something I didn't), but it's well curated and has a notably broad range of price points and styles. All in all, many of the best bits of fine dining without some of the added overheads and nonsense. Highly recommended.

12/10/2025: After the third time, and after the first two proved to be an excellent discovery, I have to make a specific comment: the pizza dough was decidedly improved, but the toppings were very tasteless on both pizzas, despite both having smoked provola among the specials... I was disappointed. We can confirm the deliciousness of the fried foods, and specifically the frittatine, which were truly noteworthy. This review, precisely because it wasn't our first time, and precisely because we returned with confidence from our first experiences, shouldn't be interpreted as a criticism, but rather as an incentive to return to the standards this pizzeria is known for. A small point, but one that we realized was accidental: the service was lacking, and the entire chain seemed to have gone haywire at some point. I repeat, we're convinced it was just a fluke.

23/10/2025: I am a foodie, Michelin star snob and picky! I was surprised that Imago had only One star? It deserves at least two because it has it all. Great food, beautiful views and wonderful staff.
