14/09/2025: From the outside, the place is very beautiful. It's practically the front of a church. Inside, it's a bit anonymous, but elegant and comfortable. A good interior designer could improve it further, making it truly feel like a church, as I've actually seen done in a pub in Dublin. The chairs are especially comfortable, although they aren't guaranteed to be. On a Saturday, the noise inside the place, packed with young people, is certainly not quiet, but you can still chat without difficulty. The pizza is very good, and the dough is easy to digest. The beer, too. Special touches. I ordered the Monasta. The prices are in line. I honestly didn't understand the supplì; inside, it looked like a croquette, but on the outside, it was a bit too hard—different from the usual. The staff is young, friendly, and fast.

21/09/2025: We came from Milan and chose Taverna dello Spuntino in Grottaferrata to celebrate my birthday. It's certainly a traditional and very distinctive place, with its underground cellars and rustic atmosphere reminiscent of a medieval round table, amid stone tunnels and hanging hams. Truly unique! The menu focuses on Roman cuisine, although to our surprise, there was no carbonara, a classic we'd expected. The appetizers were good, while the cacio e pepe, while rich, was a bit too heavy on cheese. Overall, however, we couldn't say we had a bad meal. One unfortunate detail: we'd also ordered a cheese platter, which, amidst the confusion of the service and the dishes, was never brought to us. Only later, at home, did we realize we'd been charged for it anyway. A small mistake, but one that leaves the impression of a lack of attention or fairness, especially given the rather modest price. Overall, a charming place for the atmosphere, good for a typical experience, but with room for improvement in service and customer care.

12/10/2025: I went to Retrobottega last Saturday with four friends, and I have to say it was an extraordinary experience. Amazing food, incredible wine, and a unique atmosphere: welcoming, lively, and meticulously crafted. Every dish was a surprise, with a quality rarely found, not even in many Michelin-starred restaurants. The staff is exceptional—highly trained, friendly, perfectly informal, and never pretentious. They make you feel completely at ease and convey a true passion for what they do. Without a doubt, the best restaurant I've ever tried in Rome.

21/09/2025: The custard cream made by the Master Pastry Chefs at MaianiE is, in my opinion, the best I've ever tasted anywhere in Italy over the past six years. It's therefore my absolute number one when served in a baked "Zeppola di San Giuseppe." I believe it can be codified; it's inimitable. With such mastery in their art, they could create something grand, exclusive, and present it to the world. As for the management, I believe it's right to add that the professional who handled my request at the dessert and breakfast counter made sure to provide the requested products on an elegant, finely packaged, and adequately sized tray, despite containing mostly breakfast yeasts. This procedure, though seemingly "small," clearly demonstrates the attention to detail, both on the part of the company and specifically of the pastry staff who served me: refinement and kindness, love for their profession, and professionalism—elements that confer an invaluable score.

13/10/2025: I arrived around 8 p.m. and the line was veeeery long, but it went by pretty quickly considering the number of people there were—about an hour. The pizzas are very traditional, and the service is excellent—attentive, lively, and fast. I ordered a salad and a pizza, and it was enough for two people. The water is a pretty big bottle, so it's easy to share. - a Coke, water, and pizza came to 32.50 euros.

04/10/2025: We liked it so much we came back the next evening! We had beef tartare, fried pizza, zucchini flowers, ciauscolo crostini, fried lamb ribs, peposo, fettuccine alla campagnola, lombricelli with broccoli, and cheese selections. Everything was delicious. The staff was very kind and friendly. The atmosphere was lovely. It's just a few minutes' walk from the center. Definitely worth a try.

20/08/2025: The pizza was delicious, but cold after waiting over an hour and asking several times. The cod fillets were delicious and piping hot. The staff was understaffed and poorly organized, but very friendly. I hope this is an isolated incident. I'll be back.

11/09/2025: I was expecting hand-rolled fettuccine, homemade desserts, bruschetta with pâté made by the chef, but instead it was all industrially made. What a shame! The lady serving was friendly, but the place left much to be desired, especially in terms of cleanliness. The air conditioning was full of dust.

04/10/2025: We found this place by chance and it was a pleasant surprise. Cristian gave us excellent service, and knowing we didn't speak Italian, he made an effort to explain every dish on the menu. The food was delicious. We would definitely return.

04/10/2025: Pretty strange experience - I was ready to order a meal for 19 EUR but the waiter (Hassan?) recommended another one outside the regular menu. He just "forgot" to mention the price was 50€. To be fair, I did not specifically ask but I certainly do not find this ok. And yes, we received finally a rebate of... 5€. 15/09/2025: The atmosphere isn't the most modern, but it's nice overall. It felt like a typical tourist restaurant, but instead we had a carbonara and an amatriciana, both made to perfection and in generous portions. The prices are reasonable, and the service is quick and efficient. If you're passing by the Altar of the Fatherland for lunch, I recommend stopping here.

10/09/2025: A restaurant where I was taken by acquaintances. The service is excellent; the menus were brought as soon as we sat down, and the order was immediately taken and brought to the kitchen. The food was brought quickly, just enough time to cook. The view is of the sea, and if we had parked nearby, we could have seen the car. The bathrooms were more than clean, and the faucets are equipped with sensors. Overnight accommodations are also available. People arrive regularly, so reservations are recommended. The prices, considering the location and the service offered, are more than reasonable.
