A great family Italian restaurant with an authentic atmosphere. I highly recommend it - the food is extremely delicious and the lasagna is truly impressive. Don't miss the eggplant and zucchini appetizer - it's definitely worth it.

We visited this restaurant three nights in a row as we were staying at a nearby hotel. This place was a real discovery: the owners were extremely kind and attentive to their guests' needs. The dishes were delicious, both Sardinian and Roman, and the prices were fair for the quality of the ingredients. We hope to return in the future! We highly recommend it.

Simple, hearty, rustic Italian food. I walked in and was greeted in Italian by John. Who I can only assume to be the father of the family business. I asked if he spoke English and he replied no. I used what little Italian I knew to order a meal for my family and communicate with him for the duration of our meal. John was very patient and gracious with me as I bumbled my way through his native language. The lasagna and gnocchi were very clearly made with love. The Chianti that was served paired well. When the meal came to an end, John walked my family to the door and wished us a good evening. Lovely experience, Piacere signore John!

I've been to Dal Sardo, and every time it feels like coming home. It's a family-run restaurant where father and daughter welcome guests with a kindness and helpfulness that warms the heart. You immediately sense that here you're not treated like customers, but like guests. The cuisine is authentically Sardinian, sincere, and made with love. I love their culurgiones, simply delicious, and the seadas, a perfect end to the meal. Each dish speaks of the true Sardinia, the traditions and flavors of yesteryear. The restaurant is rustic, simple, yet incredibly authentic. The murals on the walls tell the story of an island that has changed today, almost as if they were a testament to a past that will never return. You don't come here for the aesthetics or the latest trends, but for the substance: from the welcome to the cuisine, everything speaks of Sardinia and speaks from the heart. It's a shame to see places with such a strong soul become less popular than newer establishments, perhaps more trendy and touristy, but lacking a true identity. Highly recommended for those seeking authenticity, warmth, and authentic flavors.

We stayed in Rome for only 3 nights and were recommended Dal Sardo. We went on the first night and loved it. The home made Lasagne and Tirimisu was delicious. There was 9 of us and without hesitation tables were re-arranged to fit us in. We made sure to return again before we departed!!

04/05/2026: Welcoming place, really very kind staff, entrecote you absolutely must try....
03/05/2026: The place is very nice. The appetizers were very good. The service was excellent. The meat was delicious. The only flaw was the very bland first courses (the Gricia was requested without cheese, and the Amatriciana was also ordered), and the pecorino cheese didn't really add flavor to the dish. It certainly helps, but if you could have added some cooking water to the mix, it would have been a good dish, along with the guanciale. Of course, they were included in the bill, and we paid for them. As a restaurateur, I would have thought about this for a moment. Ultimately, I recommend it, and I think I'll be back.
