10/05/2025: A revelation! Welcoming environment, courteous and approachable staff. The daily menu offers refined, refined, particular and above all delicious dishes!! With a shared starter and a dish each we ate abundantly and with great satisfaction!! It's worth it, indeed, congratulations!

06/05/2025: I can recommend it as an absolute pizza, pinsa, pasta, etc. frowned upon after 7 weeks in Italy. Finally something real to eat. My digestion will be happy. The absolute not quite achieved, like my beloved kitchen fairy in Gettnau, she is the queen of the culinary art.🥰😍😘

30/04/2025: Living in the area we were always curious to try this little place We had a really good time Really very friendly staff The aubergine ravioli with sea bass ragout was amazing The mussels which were off the menu were really good and of good quality The cake with a warm chocolate heart with cream and vanilla ice cream was the conclusion of a delicious dinner I'll be back for sure!

21/05/2025: We wanted to eat pizza, but it was a very bad choice, pasta and seafood are brought quickly, we waited for our pizza for more than half an hour. The pizza was not the best in taste, but quite edible. On the plus side - the restaurant works without siesta, that's why we went there

18/05/2025: I found this a comfortable place to eat as a solo woman. The staff were welcoming and the food was delicious. I enjoyed sitting in the alley watching people stroll by. Oh and the seafood linguini was very plentiful!

06/05/2025: Quiet and elegant space for our party of 4 to dine in. Promptly seated when we arrived with our reservation. The pasta and clams dish that I ordered to start needed more flavour but my husband’s gnocchi dish was very flavourful. The grilled octopus dish was very well done, however the turbot fish dish that was served that evening was prepared as a “fish cake ring” that surprised our table and wasn’t quite explained that well. The servers seemed to be quite curt and abrupt with us and we it made us feel slightly like we were inconveniencing them. Overall felt the food was inconsistent for each dish (either great or not really) and experience was average.

27/04/2025: Ayant déjà fréquenté cet endroit antérieurement ( voir avis précédent) je n’y étais plus allé depuis un certain temps. Nos amis triestins n’étaient plus aussi enthousiastes qu’ils ne l’avaient été, regrettant la perte d’une certaine convivialité. Le concept a en effet bien changé mais les plats sont toujours aussi savoureux . Un service sympathique et de très bons conseils pour le choix des vins. Prix dans la moyenne supérieure.

11/06/2025: It's the oldest coffee house in Trieste with an impressive interior that stays untouched for two centuries. So classy and chic! I was utterly amazed how friendly personnel is - engaging with guests in down to earth and friendly manner, making everyone instantly welcomed. The list of drinks and coffees is impressive, but as it was a hot spring day outdoors some of us opted for spritz - the one with cherry liqueur (not the aperol one) was simply D I V I N E .

Spaghetti with clams absolutely anonymous Tagliolini with scampi sufficient Cod average. Salmon almost sufficient. We did not eat badly but certainly not well either. The lady very kind, even too much! That exaggeration that is cloying. The impression is that it is a place dedicated to foreign tourists

29/05/2025: Pasta allo scoglio amazing! Pasta alle vongole also good. Kind and helpful staff, fast and precise service in a characteristic, clean and well-kept environment!

05/06/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant last night. I was attracted by the crab dish on the menu, and I must say it did not disappoint: both the raw fish and the crab were fresh and of excellent quality. The baked fish with potatoes was good, but the portion was a little small and the taste was slightly bland. The place is nice and elegant, with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service.

04/06/2025: Our expectations were higher based on the reviews. The waiters are friendly but also trained in 'upselling' trying to sell as much as possible. The risotto wasn't great and the crab was just crab put in a shell. We could be biased as we ate lovely in other restaurants in Trieste.

02/05/2025: Recommended by everyone but unfortunately my experience was negative, we ordered a fried dish but unfortunately the breaded and fried prawns were full of ammonia and too salty, however the gnocchi with mojto were decent.

29/05/2025: Abbiamo organizzato un pranzo con famiglia ed amici per festeggiare il nostro 25esimo anniversario di matrimonio. È stata una bellissima giornata,in una location splendida!!! Ottimo il cibo ed ottima la preparazione.Tutto a base di pesce! Un ringraziamento speciale a Paolo per la sua professionalità e gentilezza,e a tutto il suo staff che ci ha accompagnato per tutta la giornata!!! Grazie di cuore!!!!

12/05/2025: We spent four wonderful days at the taverna Cigui during our yoga retreat and were truly impressed. The food was exceptional – fresh, local, and prepared with love. The variety, especially the fish dishes, was amazing. The taverna is set in a beautiful olive grove, creating a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. We felt at home and enjoyed every moment. We’ll definitely be back – thank you for everything!

03/05/2025: Nice restaurant with high quality cuisine. Particularly noteworthy is the fish in the pistachio coating, a new combination for us that was absolutely convincing in terms of taste. Simply delicious! However, the location is less appealing as the restaurant is close to a main road and can therefore be quite noisy.

03/05/2025: Located on a pedestrian crossroads of a very busy street, when eating outside you can hear some traffic noise, but it doesn't bother you. The dishes are good and the portions are plentiful; the only flaw, based on personal taste, was that the peppered mussels had too much oregano which overpowered the taste of the mussels, which among other things were a little dry. The pistachio crusted red mullet fillets, however, were phenomenal.
