The price is also affordable for all budgets, with generous portions.

Grilled mixed vegetables
30/09/2025: Spacious space, also suitable for groups. Helpful and polite staff. Fish is always highly appreciated. They stay open until 12:15 if you let them know. Maximum availability even for latecomers.

11/11/2025: REALLY UNPLEASANT STAFF
AND UNACCEPTABLE QUALITY/PRICE
We booked a table for four in the morning. We entered and were seated at a table right next to the wide-open front door, with a small screen next to it (which mattered practically nothing, since all the customers near us were dining in their jackets).
Once seated, the first thing we asked was if they could close the door because it was 17 degrees outside and very cold inside. The waitress's response was: "WE CAN'T ASK FOR THE DOOR BECAUSE WE HAVE TO COME IN AND OUT TO SERVE CUSTOMERS ON THE VERANDA." So, since they don't have a service door, we were all condemned to eating in the cold (with numerous complaints from all the customers).
We ordered 1 water, 1 beer, and a Coke (NO WINE) and: 1 ossobuco risotto,
3 portions of crescentine with cured meats, pickles, and squacquerone (the crescentine alone cost €60.00, plus €10.00 for cheese, and they were also meager, and the cured meats weren't even very good). But the biggest surprise was the ossobuco risotto: A VERY SIMPLE SAFFRON RISOTTO WITH A LITTLE KNIFE-CUT BRAISED BEEF (WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN ANY KIND OF MEAT SINCE IT WAS ALL MINCED). But the whole ossobuco with its marrow (a fundamental part of ossobuco risotto because the marrow must be mixed with the risotto, which offers a wonderful flavor) was not even a hint. When I asked for ossobuco and marrow, the waitress told me that they had run out of marrow, so I had to do without.
The only truly good thing at a reasonable price were the excellent desserts (the mango ice cream was excellent).
ICING ON THE CAKE: for 4 of us, without wine (because we are teetotalers), 3 portions of crescentine and a saffron risotto WITHOUT THE OSSOBUCO
TOTAL BILL... €146.00, INCLUDING €16 FOR COVER CHARGE (FURTHERMORE, WITHOUT A TABLECLOTH AND WITH THE CUTLERY PLACED ON THE WOODEN TABLE).
I judge as a professional restaurateur because I built and created a restaurant in the heart of Bologna that in 11 years has received several very important awards, so I would like to say to these amateurs, as a professional in the sector that for them this is the restaurant industry, they still have a lot to learn about how to treat customers and above all about cooking methods and the quality of the products in relation to the price.

16/11/2025: It couldn't have been an experience because, even though we called to check if there was room, when we arrived 10 minutes later, they told us it was fully booked. Personally, I don't recommend such a sloppy and unprofessional place with unnecessary and ridiculous restrictions.

The service is absolutely terrible!
14/09/2025: An unassuming restaurant on the outskirts of town. Parking is available on the street. The staff is very friendly. The fish dishes are very good and the value is excellent.

10/12/2025: Stepping into Trattoria del Tempo Buono, the air is filled with the rich yet gentle aroma of tomatoes and meat. The warm light from the wooden tables tells you: this place isn't about showing off or following trends; it's about elevating the "homely" into a flavor worth remembering.
I. Bolognese Spaghetti – The Essence of Tradition Lies in Slow Cooking
Before the first bite of the meat sauce, the aroma embraces your senses.
This isn't a quickly reduced sauce, nor is it a flavor artificially piled with sugar and spices. It's like the taste of a grandmother spending a whole day tending the stove in the Italian countryside.
The beef fibers retain their structure, yet are stewed until tender without falling apart;
The sweet and sour taste of the tomatoes is natural, without any pungent odor;
The sheen of the olive oil gently connects each flavor.
Most captivating are the handmade spaghetti strands, still imbued with their rich aroma.
The curves absorb the thick layer of meat sauce, each bite like a combination of the pasta's delicate flavor and the gentle warmth of the slow cooker.
This is the highest level of "simplicity."
There are no shortcuts, yet every detail reveals the chef's patience, traditional steadiness, and respect for flavor.
II. Lasagna – A Soft Comfort on the Palate
When the lasagna is served, the slightly puffed-up golden-brown top and the slightly darker brown edges are incredibly pleasing.
A gentle touch of the fork releases warm steam from between the layers of pasta.
The delicate cream of the Bechamel white sauce intertwines almost perfectly with the sweet and sour red sauce; the minced meat is evenly distributed, neither overpowering nor absent, like the most fitting supporting character in a play.
But what's most captivating is its texture upon entering the mouth.
Soft, yet not mushy.
Rich, yet not heavy.
The thickness, moisture, and temperature of each layer are controlled with near precision.
We are so fortunate to be in Bologna today, and grateful that such simple yet exquisite deliciousness still exists in this world.

ricca, ma mai pesante.
Ogni stratoha lo spessore, l’umidità eil calore calibrati con straordinaria precisione.
Siamo stati davvero fortunati a essere qui oggi, a Bologna.
È bello sapere che in questo mondo The sistono ancora sapori così semplici e allo stesso tempo così straordinari.

10/11/2025: Absolute gem of a local restaurant. The best antipasti buffet I've had in the region (also great for vegetarians) and some simple, well priced pastas. Excellent hospitality even though they spoke limited English, and one of the best meals of it our trip. Really very reasonably priced too. I'm still dreaming of the antipasti buffet.
26/10/2025: A pleasant, unexpected surprise!
The friendly, family atmosphere makes you feel at home. The food is excellent, and the appetizer and dessert buffet is spectacular.

18/10/2025: Insanely rude and unavailable staff. Condescending to say the least. They have you wait outside for more than a few minutes and then complain about you politely asking if they have a table or not. Avoid this place.
18/10/2025: They were rude and refused to sit us in spite of the low demand. When we sat down by ourselves they told us to get up and that the table was reserved while there was no sign on in the view. Ten minutes later the tables were still empty

17/10/2025: I went to dinner at this pizzeria with my two children and my husband. The pizza dough might be good, but it's a letdown due to the poor-quality toppings used. For example, my husband ordered a pizza with zucchini and pancetta...raw zucchini and diced pancetta from the plastic packaging. My son ordered a sausage and hot dog pizza, which he didn't want to eat because the hot dogs were inedible.

01/12/2025: It's a good place where you eat well. Don't forget the tagliatelle alla bolognese with a glass of Sangiovese. And then everything else you'll discover for yourself. Friendly service makes for a pleasant culinary stop.

14/10/2025: Disappointing. We started on the wrong foot having to wait 30 minutes for our starters, starters that couldn’t have been easier to prepare (tortellini in brodo & steak tartar)
The truth is timing was out and dishes were under par and terribly constructed.
In my opinion, even taking into account location and overheads, this is an overpriced restaurant. Just look at the photos of our second course- and this is in the Michelin Guide!!🤷♂️
Would we return? No
08/10/2025: Comfort food on a high level. We had a wonderful evening at Battibecco. The food was really good (the antipasti could have been a little more spicy for my taste), the wine was great (recommended by the floor manager), the desert was a dream!
So far, it's been the best dinner we've had in Bologna. (And we've had more expensive ones.)

A bottle of water can't cost €2 less than a plate of mixed vegetables.

05/05/2025: Ristorante bello e ben curato. Personale disponibile, preciso e sorridente. La location è raffinata le portate curate e ben servite.
04/05/2025: Ci eravamo stati qualche anno fa e lo abbiamo proposto per un pranzo con amici. Abbiamo mangiato bene, tutto molto buono, peccato che il conto ci riservava una bella sorpresa:
una tagliata fuori menù, consigliataci, di circa 1.6 kg è costata (solo quella) 153 euri.... inoltre, dopo aver diviso il conto complessivo, ognuno ha avuto un arrotondamento per eccesso su un totale già estremamente importante, pertanto in totale abbiamo pagato '5 euri' in più, non dovuti....forse la mancia? Personalmente non credo di ritornarci.
