25/02/2025: Excellent venue. The super friendly waiter sat us down and gave us plenty of time to decide on lunch while also giving us advice. Truly excellent cuisine, a splendid day, sitting next to the beautiful large window, which allowed the sun to enter and therefore made the lunch unique. A truly beautiful place discovered by chance on the internet and it really turned out to be the best. When I return to those parts I won't miss a lunch/dinner in AS. Compliments !!!

17/12/2024: I have returned, for the umpteenth time, to this restaurant and I must confirm with great pleasure what I have already written previously. The very pleasant atmosphere of the place and the cordial welcome of the two owner brothers prepare you for a lunch that will certainly be remembered for the quality of the dishes (all from the gastronomic tradition of Central Abruzzo but with a skilful mix of innovations by Tina and Marcella who work in the kitchen under the watchful eye of Mamma Lucia (a living monument of catering in the city of Sulmona). If we then add the type of room service carried out by Marco and Giacomo with their collaborator Emilio, absolutely flawless due to the consolidated precision and courtesy, we understand why eating in the Ristorante da Gino is always a very pleasant experience and why the restaurant is a sure point of reference in the gastronomic panorama of the city of Sulmona.

06/12/2024: Family-run place where professionalism, competence, friendliness and friendliness in the service are included in the price and where the customer feels pampered. When I'm in Sulmona it's an obligatory "stop": it's always nice to go back!!! The cuisine is excellent, it's a shame it's closed in the evening for dinner. Better to book.

14/03/2025: BAD CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT. AVOID THIS PLACE. I went to this restaurant a couple of weeks ago, booking in advance and accepting the two-hour timer rule for staying in the shift. Nothing strange, if it hadn't been communicated to me in this ridiculous way. Disorganized service: orders are not in order of arrival but in their reservation register, so a table that arrived after me was served first... Mistakes in the kitchen and little professionalism: there were two of us, but the first course arrived wrong for one of us, forcing us to eat separately. Furthermore, when I asked to correct the mistake (the scamorza with the sausage was missing), the answer was: "start eating only the sausage". But the worst was yet to come. In the second course, a mix of meat with scamorza, I found a 5-6 cm piece of plastic melted in the cheese in my mouth. I immediately reported the problem to the waiter and the answer was: "now I'll ask the kitchen". Who knows what she asked for but whatever... After a few minutes, another waitress comes back saying that it wasn't plastic, but the string with which the scamorza is tied. It doesn't matter: it shouldn't end up on the plate. I'm offered to redo the scamorza and reheat the meat. I refuse. After a while, a new proposal: redo the whole plate. I refuse again. Then, the last straw: the waitress comes back to tell me that "there's no need to be angry, to err is human, we didn't do it on purpose". Ironic, considering that up until that moment I hadn't even protested. Shameful ending: when I get the bill, I find the plate charged. When I complain, I'm told that they calculated how much I had consumed before the accident. Incredible. I laugh, pay and leave. Any other comment would be superfluous. Avoid it.

22/02/2025: One of the most beautiful places in the area where good food and courtesy come together, where you can go to be pampered and find a good mood. Long and varied menu with attention to the quality of the raw materials. Can only recommend it!

21/02/2025: In assoluto uno dei miei ristoranti preferiti, ci sono stata già tre volte, sia d' estate nell' incantevole area all 'aperto sotto la luna, che d'inverno nell 'ampia sala interna. Gli antipasti sono particolari e deliziosi come le polpette di spinaci sul letto di besciamella, la parmigiana bianca, gli arancini, il carciofo ripieno, i fiori di zucca in pastella che l' ultima volta non c' erano ma mi auguro col cuore che vengano reinseriti nel menù. Anche la carne ottima e i dolci deliziosi. Consiglio vivamente questo ristorante, ci ho portato anche degli amici e mi hanno ringraziato!

06/02/2025: It's always difficult to choose which pizza I'm going to eat: there are a lot of vegetarian choices, I still haven't tasted everything! The vegetarian, the AM, etc. And the desserts are always to my taste, which is rare in Italy. The service is always attentive, the staff always kind and smiling. Additionally, dogs are welcome. 23/02/2025: This restaurant is my favorite place, discovered several years ago during a walk in pretty Pescocostanzo and has remained the ideal place to enjoy simple and tasty dishes. The owners, Italo in the kitchen and Simona in the dining room, know how to welcome customers with courtesy and care. I really recommend it.

20/02/2025: A little hidden gem! I stopped for lunch with a friend at this restaurant. The staff was courteous and professional. The venue offers an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. Personally I ordered some homemade tortelli stuffed with guinea fowl which I found really delicious. The Entrecôte was cooked to perfection and the tiramisu was also very good. Note of merit for the oil and bread they produce. Super recommended for those who love traditional cuisine!

14/02/2025: This was an evening to forget, barely enough food, terrible service with a disorganization never seen before... to conclude the payment I was asked to wait at the table while the operator was talking on the phone to someone who was instructing him. Customer respect must come first we will never return! And then everyone wonders why restaurants in Romagna are doing well... Well ask yourself some questions... Nowadays people go around and evaluate... Thank you for the fool you made me make this evening

28/03/2025: Not being from the area, I didn't know this place. Passing by, inspired by the name, I decided to go in. We were greeted with kindness by efficient, friendly and very helpful waiters. The food was really excellent, prepared with high quality products and offered at a very affordable price. We will definitely be back! ☺️

24/03/2025: We took these 2 pizzas, one buffalo with cooked meat and the other is called brontadella2.0, very light dough and very balanced flavours, in the pistachio one despite the variety of ingredients none dominates the other and indeed they are dosed appropriately. We also took a dessert (as in the photo) called "exotic", super balanced flavors between the sweetness of the pistachio, the sourness of the raspberry and the passion fruit, beautiful to look at and good to eat even in terms of consistency. Impeccable and very kind service (pizzas delivered after 5/6 minutes) Very clean bathrooms with no bad smells. Parking is easily found on the main road leading to the restaurant.

13/03/2025: Minimalist but well-kept place by the sea with a couple of little things that I would change to suit my taste, but welcoming. The service was impeccable, attentive, helpful and courteous. The food is excellent, classic and revisited flavours, well presented and of excellent taste. Here too, some dishes convinced me, not too bad for my taste, my companion found them exceptional. A positive note for the mussel stew in the crust (I hope that's what they say) with a truly excellent taste and you would "dunk" the whole crust and all the bread in it, a piece of advice: find a way to not let the mussels dry out too much because the broth or stew was excellent, but the mussels had shrunk and had lost their flavor, even the mezzeniche with squid was something special, the sauce took me back to my grandmother's times. Overall excellent, price within the norm, in fact I was expecting a little more. I will definitely go back.

08/03/2025: Buona la prima direbbe qualche regista… si devo dire che ho trovato un locale molto accogliente e molto ospitale dal personale alla proprietà. Carta vini equilibrata, servizio impeccabile e tanto gusto a tavola. Ottimi i piatti scelti dai crudi ai caldi, buonissima la frittura senza glutine di cui ringrazio per la sensibilità verso questo problema alimentare. Consigliato vivamente!

23/02/2025: I went to dinner at Peppe on a Friday evening after a long day and a short trip back to my beloved Vasto. And I made peace with myself. Nicola, who has been running the tavern for a very short time, was a genuine and welcoming host. The evening acquired the flavor of his enthusiasm. The spaghetti alla guitar made in front of us and the large fireplace with the grill warmed us up. All tasty and made with love. The stuffed artichokes then... had the taste of grandmothers' memories, perhaps even more so. Well done Nicola.

The young owners have been able to keep alive the culinary traditions that made this place special, while adding a touch of freshness and innovation. The dishes are prepared with quality ingredients and an evident love for cooking. The atmosphere is welcoming and lively, perfect for spending time with family or friends. The young managers are friendly, attentive, friendly and approachable. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for a dining experience that combines the best of the past with the energy of the present. I can't wait to return!
