12/07/2026: An excellent restaurant that I highly recommend. It enjoys a prime location in Ancona's oldest neighborhood (hence the name Guasco) with outdoor seating in Piazza San Francesco, particularly charming, especially at sunset. We were greeted warmly and friendly. The dinner featured incredibly fresh seafood, creatively prepared without overpowering its authentic flavor. A good selection of wines (almost all local). And the price was reasonable for the quality of the food. Almost all tables were occupied, but the service was extremely efficient. We'll definitely be back.

12/07/2026: We ate here two out of the three nights we stayed in Ancona. Away from the main restaurant quarter, this is a great spot in the old town. The menu is small but each dish we had was very well balanced and flavoursome, and the selection of wines excellent. If drinking by the glass, ask what is available as we found there to be more options than shown on the menu. Food: mussels as part of the apperitivo menu.. delicious. Pastas... two delightful dishes... Secondi... turbot, and duck breast. I suspect the menu changes seasonally. All excellent. Some other reviews state that the portions are small..well, yes, compared to the sadly typically large offerings you get from more mainstream places...but the food here is better! We shared dishes (as we often do) and left fully satiated. Note.. no pizzas (there's a good pizzeria next door). Bottom line: fine food, good selection of wines. Helpful staff. Recommended.

14/11/2025: Stay away... Three out of three times we've been for a savory breakfast, it's been a disaster. The sandwiches and tramezzini are made with poor-quality ingredients: rancid prosciutto, years-old mozzarella, sour shrimp. And even the girls who work there aren't the friendliest or most friendly. Poor quality.

03/06/2026: Yesterday I ordered three takeout pizzas, two Margheritas and one fried pizza with salami and ricotta for my son. The Margheritas were excellent, no complaints. The fried pizza, however, came with tomato and mozzarella instead of salami and ricotta. My son didn't eat it, and we ended up throwing it away, so I lost both the pizza and the money I paid. I was left hungry, and honestly, this situation isn't right. I understand that mistakes can happen to anyone, but I ask you to be more careful with your orders because the customer pays and expects to receive what they asked for. I hope you can improve this.

23/05/2026: The food is decent but the service and the organization in the dining room are so awful and one of the waiters, thinking she was someone, even said to us: "Why do you all come on Saturday and then you all ask for pizza but what the hell am I supposed to eat according to his very high-class mind of this guy after half an hour of waiting to order?"

28/07/2026: The restaurant has a unique decor that immediately catches the eye. But what definitely stands out is the freshness and deliciousness of the dishes. Not to mention the staff's expertise. I definitely recommend it!!

28/07/2026: A restaurant neither good nor bad. Honest cuisine and, all in all, more than acceptable. Good pizza and not overly expensive. Normal prices. Service varies in periods: sometimes kind and attentive, other times...not so much. Just catch the right period, yes 😁

14/04/2026: Beautiful setting surrounded by nature. Relaxing atmosphere, mosquito-free, and fresh. Excellent food, and the waiter Francesco was incredibly kind. Thank you, we had a great time.

10/04/2026: Easter Monday lunch. The place was packed, admittedly, but the wait was incredibly long (we were seated at 1:10 PM; appetizers arrived at 2:10 PM; first courses arrived at 3:00 PM; second courses at 4:15 PM). The first courses were disappointing: dry tortellini with little sauce, and the tagliatelle with wild boar were bland and the boar tasted like it was boiled. Portions were barely adequate. The grilled and fried fish were better than the first courses. The house desserts were tasteless. The waiters were young and friendly, but very inexperienced; we almost never had water at the table despite constant requests. The house wine was very good. The atmosphere was very rustic and "antique," the exterior very beautiful, but it took a bit of patience to get there. In my experience, it wasn't worth it—a shame.

21/09/2025: If you want to experience what it feels like to be judged before you even order, this is the place. Having had a very positive impact since my last visit to this place, I decided to bring two of my friends. We went in: one of us went to the bathroom for an emergency, the other smoked a cigarette outside. The owner looked us over as if we'd just robbed a bank. My friend came back because he also needed to go to the bathroom. While my friend and I were looking at the menu, a rude gesture to the temple was sent from the counter, indicating that our friend was "not okay." (Drunk? On drugs? I had to specify that my friend was in the bathroom because I don't think he would have asked us about his mental and physical condition in front of him.) SPOILER: He was doing very well. When I replied, "No, he's fine," he jokingly exclaimed, "OH YES! HE'S SURELY BETTER THAN ME😆😆" But here, you just have to breathe to be labeled. Coincidentally, we were a group of young people in our twenties (maybe we didn't even look that "grown up", but for us that's certainly a compliment) and maybe the owner didn't like the fact that we wanted to drink a beer or some of their customised cocktails with a splash of IPA. I didn't even have time to explain to my friends that they don't serve typical drinks here (I know the specialty here is beer... He can keep it: he's so fond of it that he suggested we look for a cocktail bar. How nice of him, we clearly understood his message. We left disgusted as the owner greeted us with a "thank you ☺️" that sounded more like "thanks for getting rid of your balls." Honest advice: there are truly professional bars just a few steps away. Here they only serve nice, cold rudeness, like the beer I wanted to drink... A real shame, since I have nothing to say about the excellent quality of what's served... REVIEW UPDATE AFTER THE OWNER'S RESPONSE I admit I wasn't aware of my friend's request to smoke inside the establishment. The rule was respected, however, as he finished his smoke and went back inside without a care in the world (had it been the other way around, I wouldn't have dared). (I'll defend him.) Now I ask: have you ever tried taking friends to a different place than usual? As I wrote before, I didn't even have time to explain that they don't serve the usual drinks (like the Pina Colada my friend wanted). We know the internet exists, but I don't think it's mandatory to study every place's menu before entering. From the response, I received this sort of hostility toward my friend, but that doesn't justify the dirty looks my friend and I received without having done anything. (Then, the request to find another place was made to us, too.) We had decided what to order, but after that request, we had no choice but to get up. I love beer, but I don't love it enough to stay in a place after the owner explicitly asks you to "look around and find something else." If for you this is the model of professionalism that 'doesn't label,' then perhaps we have different definitions of the word, given that my friend was more than lucid.
