23/02/2026: After many years, I returned to that place for lunch. The service was good and fast. The first course was simple, penne all'arrabiata, but it wasn't "arrabiata" (a type of pasta with a touch of 'arrabiata'), nor was the sauce really good! The fish dish was average, but nothing special, and neither was the side dish, the zucchini gratin. I noticed that many locals go there, certainly for the €15 meat menu and €20 fish menu, and even workers. Personally, I wasn't convinced by the food I chose that day!

03/06/2026: Yesterday I ordered three takeout pizzas, two Margheritas and one fried pizza with salami and ricotta for my son. The Margheritas were excellent, no complaints. The fried pizza, however, came with tomato and mozzarella instead of salami and ricotta. My son didn't eat it, and we ended up throwing it away, so I lost both the pizza and the money I paid. I was left hungry, and honestly, this situation isn't right. I understand that mistakes can happen to anyone, but I ask you to be more careful with your orders because the customer pays and expects to receive what they asked for. I hope you can improve this.

I would have paid for your spa, but it's not fair that I, a customer who has already paid, can't use it since the spa is there. If we don't use it, who can book it? And I add that I had booked for 2 days, and you don't guarantee me, since, I repeat, it's written that they have the spa for at least 1 hour by paying and booking, because this is stated by booking and paying separately. 15/12/2025: It's the perfect place for a couple. The apartment overlooking the hills is wonderful. The spa is a delight and, above all, very warm. Returning to the room with a platter of mixed platters, a bottle of wine, and a roaring fireplace...UNBEATABLE! The owners are kind, helpful, and very discreet. Definitely worth a visit!

The dish didn't deserve a full score; the broth for this iconic dish was lukewarm... a shame. Mediocres: > The room temperature was low upon arrival; we asked for the heating to be turned up. > Entree: mini supplí balls on a pepper cream, cold masticata-style pasta, a hesitant preview to begin with. > Mixed appetizers: vitello tonnato could be improved, polenta with melted cheese and bacon was insignificant because it wasn't seasoned. The grilled cotechino was noteworthy. Stuffed breasola tortelli could easily be replaced with something more valuable. > lasagna: titled "from when I was a kid," it features an unusual alternating of lasagna noodles, slices of mortadella, and sliced ​​cheese, topped with crusty ragù. This meant that our entire dining room, including our table, must have had 60 guests, who, after the first few forkfuls, left it on their plates. The staff's explanation for this blunder was that the dish is a recipe from Novara, and the chef replacing the regular chef seems to have been influenced. > the boiled meats are accompanied by a cocktail sauce and a salsa verde, which, in essence, create a dilemma for the critics, arguing between their insufficient quantity and their actual purpose in the boiled meats (both were rejected). Eight months ago, we were always guests, we had a great time and expected a repeat. Yesterday, the restaurant wasn't even a distant relative, as if management had changed hands.

30/11/2025: We drove by, and I said: you have to go to a place called La Tagliata! Today, a mixed antipasto of cured meats and cheeses, quince jam. Paccheri Guerrieri pasta with bacon and..., sliced ​​beef steak, sweets, and moretta cheese. Everything was top-notch, with a special mention for the cinnamon-scented tart with moretta cheese, finally 3 layers and peel. Recommended!

07/06/2026: We stopped for lunch on our way back from our visit to Borgo di Fortino on Thursday. We called, and they were even willing to take our 8-year-old dog, Jack, weighing about 10 kg. They reserved a corner for us in a room just inside on the right. We had lunch without a long wait. We had the beef rump with arugula and parmesan, and the gratin and roast potatoes as sides: everything was delicious. The service was fast and courteous. Recommended for those in a hurry and looking for lunch as a work break, etc. A quaint atmosphere, close to the center.
