10/05/2026: Great café! A fantastic selection and a very cozy atmosphere. We sat upstairs where the heating was almost too warm. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The only downside was that a cappuccino arrived instead of a chai latte.

07/05/2026: A very pleasant cafe with friendly service. A large selection of sandwiches and breakfast snacks, prepared fresh. The sandwiches and wraps are very large, with plenty of filling.

11/05/2026: A historic Lecco restaurant that has maintained its excellent quality over the years. Recommended.

28/05/2026: The quality of the meat is generally excellent, but if you order online, expect to occasionally receive meat they would never sell in the store (for example, ground beef FULL of chunks of muscle, making it dry and much less flavorful). Also expect them to tell you they never know what they're getting, and you'll be keeping it with no guarantee for future orders. It would just stay there at the counter. Unfortunately, I won't order again because it's unfair to those who order without the same guarantee as those who can buy on-site... and they certainly don't pay less, on the contrary. As of today, May 28, 2026, I'm still waiting for a response to my email.

20/05/2026: I've finally found a shop that sells truly excellent quality horse meat. I travel many kilometers every week to get to Calolziocorte, but I do it with pleasure because healthy eating is one of the pillars of well-being. I've been buying horse meat for many years and know how difficult it is to find quality, especially superior quality, meat. I couldn't ask for better service, either. I order conveniently via WhatsApp and pick up part of my order vacuum-packed and divided into different daily portions, so I can enjoy a delicious dish every day. The meat is prepared with rare skill and is available in every possible combination. The business is run with immense passion, and the excellence of the products is a testament to this. They also sell cheeses, desserts, and much more...all of which are always of the highest quality.

25/11/2025: A 10. We stopped on the way to make some pancakes and toast and coffee, 4 coffees, 2 toasts and 1 pancakes 20 euros, everything was delicious.

03/11/2025: We had a coffee stop on our way back to Milano airport at this little place and I forgot a brand new jacket there… After arriving to our final destination and when I realised it, I called them straight away to ask if they found it. It happen they did and they were really into helping me getting it back… finally : they sent it back to me to France 🥹🥹🥹 Matteo, who was my first interlocutor, was more than great 🙏 He really wanted to help me and he did! Beside their kindness, the place is very cute and is in a very good location if you want an easy stop near the lake (they even have their own parking lot!) Thank you so much again 🫶

12/06/2026: Renovated in a modern style, but high prices and lacking the Valsassina soul La Bussola da 8 in Ballabio is now under new management. Upon entering, you immediately notice that the restaurant has been recently renovated, but in my opinion, it has lost some of its original soul: being in Ballabio, in the heart of Valsassina, the industrial-style decor is perhaps a bit cold and out of place. Furthermore, the tables are set quite close together. Here are the details of our Sunday evening: * **The menu and prices:** We looked at the food, but the prices for the first and second courses seemed decidedly high. We therefore settled on the **pizzas**: quality was average, a good pizza, neither good nor bad. * **The service:** Very fast and efficient, also thanks to the fact that the restaurant was only 50% full for a Sunday. * **Plus:** The welcome is especially noteworthy, as the place is dog-friendly. Furthermore, in the warmer months, you can eat on the outdoor terrace, which is definitely a great added value. Overall, a renovated and clean place, but perhaps it could rediscover a touch of the local warmth and revise its restaurant prices.

30/04/2026: This place is excellent. The owners are so sweet and helpful. They recommended a wine pairing for our meal and it went perfect with our food. I loved this restaurant and hope to return here.

01/05/2026: The atmosphere is quite refined and the people are very friendly. The house wine, in my opinion, was truly awful. The first courses were subpar, and the polenta was decidedly disappointing. They have a lot of room for improvement.
