15/08/2025: We went for dinner at this nice location on the lake. The food was delicious from chef Claudio. He makes the pasta fresh every morning. We also tried a typical food from the area called sciatt (fried cheese in batter) which you must get when you’re there. Liked the casual vibe and food comes out quick. Delicious!!!

13/07/2025: Espacio acristalado en el exterior del hotel, en la plaza, que resulta razonablemente cómodo. Había reservado con antelación nuestra primera noche en Varenna, ya que llegaríamos temprano por la tarde un sábado y queríamos estar seguro de conseguir una mesa. El servicio estuvo bien, al igual que la comida, excepto la lasaña, que fue decepcionante. En general está bien, pero hay muchas otras opciones una vez que hayas visitado Varenna.

23/07/2025: Si elige este restaurante sin leer cuidadosamente todas las reseñas de TA, tenga en cuenta que se enfrentará a largas esperas por su comida y una factura costosa al final. Si está preparado para lo anterior, los platos estarán buenos , pero no exactamente como se describe en sus menús obtusos: por ejemplo, mi kebab de pollo ( 55 minutos de espera por 22 € ) no tenía ningún lado vegetal.

21/07/2025: Solo poche parole, pranzo squisito, piatti preparati dalla miglior tradizione persiana con tocchi di personalizzazione che hanno dato anche qualcosa in più. Era l'anniversario di matrimonio e mia moglie iraniana è rimasta pienamente soddisfatta. Ambiente amichevole, ottimo servizio, insomma, tutto splendido!

02/06/2025: AMAZING place. My boyfriend and I went there one evening by chance and we were pleasantly surprised. Super friendly and helpful staff, they were very fast and great prices. They also showed us a private terrace of the place to eat with a wonderful lake view. The pizzas were equally excellent, we will definitely be back!

06/09/2025: Kindness, courtesy, and friendliness in a rustic setting that makes you feel relaxed and at home. The handmade pasta all'agliona is impressive, the crostoni exceptional... Wonderful Gewürztraminer, superb desserts. We'll definitely be back.

26/08/2025: Excellent Tuscan food, with exceptional Florentine steak. The service staff was attentive and available to answer any questions. The fan blades were on, and for lunch on a sunny August day, they weren't adequate to reduce the heat. Perhaps they would be sufficient for dinner. Overall, an excellent rating.

28/08/2025: We stayed at the refuge the night between August 24 and August 25, and had a great time! The staff was friendly, calm, welcoming, and always available to answer guests' questions. The refuge, if you start from Alpe Paglio, is located behind a small ridge (so it's not visible until the last stretch of the trail). The rooms are very comfortable, with comfortable beds (despite being bunk beds), and clean bathrooms. I believe the dinner service changes daily and includes a first course, a second course, a dessert, and coffee. In my case, as a vegetarian, I chose tagliatelle with cream and zucchini, polenta accompanied by local cheeses, and a panna cotta with berries. Everything was excellent and the portions generous. Breakfast was perhaps a little sparse (yogurt, cereal, toast) and lacked savory options, but since it's self-service, you can easily go back for a second go. I highly recommend it; the price for half board, considering the quality of the service, is very reasonable! We felt in a very familiar and peaceful environment☺️

There's an excellent variety of lake fish and polenta options, so while staying true to tradition, it's not just the "usual" dishes. The menu is varied, but not overwhelming. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Impeccably clean. My only suggestion: try a few more vegetable side dishes and choose between a more refined or rustic setting to better characterize the place, since it's not located in a panoramic spot. Overall, a great experience, highly recommended!
