Wonderful cuisine with very well-kept dishes and with that extra touch that makes them tasty and "cuddlesome". The price is fair for the quality of the food and the environment! 18/06/2025: the place is very nice, the girl who served was very good and enthusiastic, even explaining the dishes, overall the cuisine is decent, mondeghili are good even if they are not exactly the traditional ones but revisited both in shape and in flavor, the sausage was missing which would have given a bit of a boost to the filling, I agree with the previous review, the cutlet was very greasy and not very tasty, complicated to finish, the accompanying chips were not crispy but I appreciate that they used fresh potatoes, perhaps using the double frying technique they could be much crispier, reviewable the croquette of the leftover breadcrumbs seemed forced to me, I understand that you want to recycle and not waste anything but it adds nothing to an already very opulent dish. overall a decent experience, very basic wine list. the bill is in line, to try again in the future, there is room for growth.

25/05/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant and the experience, overall, was positive. The interior is very well-kept, with an elegant location and an intimate atmosphere that contributes to making the stay pleasant. The à la carte menu is interesting, with well-studied proposals that combine simple ingredients in creative preparations. We ordered two first courses and two second courses. The gnocchi with wild garlic pesto and hazelnuts turned out to be a very well-balanced dish, with a successful and original combination of flavors. The risotto alla monzese, offered off the menu, was good but not exceptional. Unfortunately, the second courses were not as convincing. The cutlets appeared excessively fatty and not very tasty, accompanied by soft and tasteless fried potatoes and a tortello of breadcrumbs and eggs that was definitely avoidable. A positive note came from the dessert: the tonka bean cream was pleasant and well-made. The service was discreet but the bill was a bit high for what we ate. Even with some room for improvement, especially on the main courses, the overall experience was still satisfactory.

22/06/2025: Family Lunch May 24, 2025 We contacted Giardinetto to organize a family lunch following the civil ceremony of our wedding. Our requests were particular: in fact, for us this was simply an opportunity to be together with the immediate family, not a real reception. We explained our needs to the staff and they were able to not only accommodate us, but also make the experience special in its simplicity. The food, excellent and of quality, met the taste of all the guests, who complimented us. Even the cake, made by a pastry chef, was really good and well-made. All framed by a spectacular view of the lake. We will definitely be back!!!

28/06/2025: This place was one of the most popular dinner spots with quite a bit of people waiting. We thankfully didn't have to wait too long as a pair. If your group is larger than a pair, it might be best to split into smaller groups. We ordered white wine, san pelligrino, pasta with fish, a burrata salad and salmon topped with pistachios. The salmon and burrata salad had such distinct and strong flavors. The burrata was refreshing and the salmon was savory with a nice crisp. The pasta was delicious, however the flavors were a bit dull. The food here was 11/10 and would love to come back ~

28/06/2025: Excellent restaurant in Varenna. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and we were lucky enough to snag two tables on the spur of the moment. The service was very attentive and friendly. The selection of dishes is really good, with something for everyone, including vegetarians. The price-performance ratio is also good for the quality offered. Highly recommended!

02/07/2025: Disappointment after the 5th time at Pasqualino. We return to Pasqualino for the 5th time in a few years, we are confirmed reservation on the panoramic terrace which is one of the main features of the restaurant besides the good food. Upon arrival we are put inside with the excuse that the weather forecast was bad, but by then the sky was clear. We are astonished by the cold welcome and the unavailability to place a table outside in the large space available. The staff did not even apologize, the impression is that from a family restaurant it is now just a business without personality and customer care.

27/06/2025: A trattoria with typical local dishes and some delicacies. Excellent risottos and fillet with pink pepper but the best is the onion soup. Stunning view from the terrace
