16/03/2026: We ordered a plate of nachos... to say they were VERY SALTY is an understatement. The rest of the group didn't appreciate any of the dishes either. We ordered two arancini and only one arrived... we had to ask for the other one... both were burnt and inedible. The fries that went with the burgers were all reheated... the only things we appreciated were the pizza and some desserts. Terrible value for money. High prices.

19/02/2026: We went today for a lunch break. The menu was excellent, and we were told it changes daily. Lasagna and pasta with Taleggio cheese fondue were delicious! Very friendly staff and excellent coffee. Thank you! We recommend it for lunch, breakfast, or a snack!

19/01/2026: Even though it's registered as a post office and the (very kind) guy has always shipped my packages in less than a minute, this is already the third time the lady rudely refuses because "there's no connection." Likewise, I'm ignored by the girl and the man present (equally rude and clearly incapable or unwilling to provide this service). All customers are the same and should be treated accordingly. I won't be returning.

31/08/2025: Unfortunately it was a flop, terrible on all fronts, at a table of 9 people, some were eating and some were waiting for their food, the sliced ​​beef arrived cold after an hour I ordered grilled vegetables which never arrived.

20/08/2025: Used for years and years. Very convenient for space, parking, and a surrounding area for strolling and relaxing in the shade of a grove. Views of the recreational lake and the start of the Valchiavenna valley. Ideal for banquets and special occasions. Outdoor seating is also available in the summer. Simple, yet fresh and good quality food. A fixed price (very affordable) or à la carte options are available. At lunchtime, it's used by office workers and blue-collar workers from the industrial area. Pizza is also available in the evenings. Self-service is available on weekends. Dogs are welcome. Can be used without hesitation. MANAGEMENT HAS CHANGED, so this review does not relate to the new management.

02/03/2026: I'm only giving it one star because it was the second time I stayed there, and the first time wasn't as bad as this second time. We booked a hotel through Booking.com, but when we arrived they said it was closed, so we had to go to another hotel. The receptionist wasn't very friendly, but we still had dinner there before leaving for the other place. The waiter wasn't very approachable, and the food, for the price I paid, wasn't anything special. The grilled menu was mostly just chicken and pork, and some things were missing. The waiter even told me he was doing me a favor because after I complained they gave me a little more chicken. The beef was half a steak, and the food seemed reheated.

07/02/2026: We can't complain about anything. We stopped here on our motorcycle trip through northern Italy. Our bikes were safe in the underground garage. What more could you ask for.

12/03/2026: Very rude and impolite owner! Specifically, an 87-year-old relative of mine with neuropathy and a cane was treated very rudely and impolitely.

08/02/2026: Maybe aperitifs aren't their forte... The spritz was good, even though it was served in juice glasses... The chips in the bag... Well, better than nothing. The price was excellent!

07/11/2025: We stopped by Nilu’s Bar in Verena on a rainy afternoon when most of our planned restaurants were either closed or fully booked — and it turned out to be a great choice! To start, we ordered drinks — I had a tropical fruit punch and my husband had martini. Both were excellent. For lunch, we tried the bruschetta with mozzarella and a prawn sandwich, which were delicious, well-prepared, and nicely presented. For dessert, we went for a Nutella dark chocolate crepe, and honestly, it was the star of the meal — absolutely delightful! The restaurant setup was cozy and inviting, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, a pleasant surprise and a lovely experience despite the rainy weather. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

29/10/2025: Great location. Tried it for an afternoon snack, with the sweet crepes. Plenty of choice, and the crepes were delicious and beautifully presented. Looking at the menu, it's worth noting that the cocktails are reasonably priced compared to other restaurants and bars nearby. I think it's a good place to have an aperitivo.

17/11/2025: Excellent pizza, soft and well-topped. The pizza chef and his daughter are friendly and welcoming, which never hurts these days! Highly recommended!

12/10/2025: Ordered takeaway pizzas on delivery, I ask how much I owe and the bitter surprise €27, I ask for explanations regarding the cost since the online menu was different from the one ordered from the products to the price and I am told that it is 3 years old😏😏, not to mention the pizza for how much dough I would have expected a good pizza instead horrible I only appreciated the crunchiness.

16/12/2025: It's hard to find better. Superb pastry shop, freshly filled brioches, worth stopping by, and the prices are right for the quality.

23/11/2025: We stopped by by chance after a trip to Ballabio with friends and were deeply disappointed. This pastry shop is a complete scam in terms of value for money. We spent €50 for two hot chocolates with cream, two zabaglione, and a handful of pastries. The price is insane, but the worst thing is the quality: the products are mediocre and unworthy of being called "pastries." Desserts that aren't sweet and tasteless, with zero customer service. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. Don't waste your money. The only disappointment was the bill.
