14/06/2025: Historic place in the center of Valmadrera, I used to come here as a kid for pizza parties with the soccer team. The management has changed but I am very pleased to see that the wood-fired oven has been maintained. We stopped for a quick lunch. Excellent service, friendly and not intrusive from the welcome to the end. Varied choice of appetizers, first and second courses of land, sea, a small vegetarian section and pizzas. I do not recommend it to those who are used to sophisticated and chic things. Simple place, family-run, with tasty dishes. I will return to try the pizza.

31/05/2025: Got scammed by this restaurant. Tells me they don’t accept card then doesn’t give me the correct change.

25/10/2025: When we asked for a large toast, no one told us it wasn't possible because they had already prepared it! I had an Aperol Spritz, but it tasted like nothing but Aperol. The only positive aspect was the view of the lake, otherwise it would have been a total disappointment!

03/10/2025: Conveniently located on the Olginate riverfront, recently renovated with new benches and children's playground. A lovely stop during your stroll any time of year. Very friendly staff.

23/02/2026: ‼️DO NOT COME TO SEE THE GAMES AT THIS BAR, THEY CHARGE YOU €5 MORE PER PERSON ON THE BILL! I paid almost €9 for a coffee. Do you realize!!!!!

08/03/2026: I returned to this osteria without knowing it had changed management, and it was an excellent choice. A modest menu that strives for excellence, not excess. The lardo and tartare appetizers are excellent. The dessert with vino santo is a real treat! A must-try for a romantic evening or a night out with friends.

07/03/2026: After a long walk, a friend and I decided to have a Florentine steak. There was room, so we went to Olga's Osteria. The atmosphere is always lovely, rather homey, and the welcome is excellent. A Florentine steak for two—I don't know how much—was plentiful, but not excessive. A portion of turnip greens for two, three glasses of Nebbiolo, two desserts for €6 each. And to finish, two bottles of water and two coffees. Everything was good and well-served. However... ..... Total €160

14/09/2025: I visited the Grom gelato shop in Lecco, on the lakeside promenade, and unfortunately, the experience was truly disappointing. The service was extremely slow: there were four people behind the counter, but only one was serving the gelato, while the others seemed distracted by other tasks. The result? An interminable line and impatient customers. As for the gelato, Grom is now the only thing left. The flavors no longer bear any resemblance to the quality and tradition that once characterized them. In particular, the ricotta, fig, and almond gelato and the salted caramel were flat, flavorless, and completely different from how I remembered them. Not to mention the stracciatella milkshake: awful flavor, really hard to finish. It's a shame, because Grom was once synonymous with excellence, but this store no longer reflects that quality.

16/04/2026: The setting is magnificent, but the service and welcome were incredibly cold... you feel like you're intruding, they speak very rudely, very little respect... The waiter came to take my order and then suddenly stopped listening to me; I felt completely ignored. It's a real shame in such a beautiful setting. The pistachio croissant was very good, and the granola too. Avoid stopping here; there are other places that are much more worthwhile.

15/04/2026: Avoid at all costs! The welcome and service were mediocre. The food was served cold, the waiter came back with the same plate and practically threw it at us, and to top it off, there was less of it (which we tasted to realize it was cold). It must have been reheated in the microwave! However, the cocktail and glass of wine were good, and above all, the incredible view saved our experience!

12/11/2025: Super expensive - and yes I should have asked before ordering. 29€ for two cocktails + 2 cokes. The 3.6 rating makes sense. … and no snacks. Next time - I’m doing the 5€ cocktails 🍹

27/10/2025: The only plus is the lake view, tea and coffee, but don't eat anything. Everything is mediocre, the food and service were all mediocre.

21/02/2026: From what I have seen and compared with other places, it was one of the best. The room was a little uncomfortable, the service was excellent, the owners were exquisite, very friendly and competent, the location was a little limited, but as a 3-star hotel for a business stay, I can say that for me it was one of the best.

06/03/2026: Prices are a bit high. The cashier got my order wrong; I didn't notice right away, and I ended up having to eat two sandwiches instead of one because of her mistake.

30/04/2025: On a trip from Milan to Varenna, we had a pleasant lunch, savoring the local flavors. A shared mixed antipasto (more than enough for two), two very generous Borgovino tagliatelle (unique), two glasses of wine, water, and coffee. 80 euros. Tastes I'm not used to, but truly surprising. Generous portions for the price, and excellent, welcoming, and friendly service.

18/04/2025: Delicious, freshly cooked food in homely atmosphere in a place of too many tourist restaurants. Authentic!

11/11/2025: This may seem deceptive. Let's just say the pizza was good, but I found a used toothpick with tartar on it, covered in sauce. That said, I really liked it, but I wouldn't go back. I'd only go if I'm hyped and craving food, and the MC is closed and the supermarkets are bankrupt.

29/03/2026: The place looks very nice and is in a wonderful location. The music is inappropriate and too chaotic for the atmosphere. The service and organization are unfortunately terrible... 15/20 minutes of standing wait, we asked three times if/where we could have an aperitif... for example, at one of the 15 or so free tables... And NO, we have to wait standing outside again... this was the shocking response... instead of welcoming customers and seating them, perhaps simply telling them to sit at a table and wait patiently for service, they scare people away. Really poorly organized, unfortunately. And in fact, they have about 3 stars... The guys at the bar next door are much better and much more talented, courteous, and organized. What a shame...!
