12/08/2025: A true step back in time. The restaurant remains firmly anchored in the '80s, both in terms of decor and menu. It's been years since I've read about Shrimp in Pink Sauce... That's not necessarily a problem; in fact, after so many years, I was able to enjoy excellent homemade tagliolini with salmon again. Average food and reasonable prices.

14/09/2025: On the recommendation of some locals, we had lunch at this restaurant. We had an appetizer of local cured meats and a fabulous perch risotto. All accompanied by good wine and the kindness of the owner.

18/08/2025: A cozy, family-run pizzeria. The service was friendly, and our limited Italian skills were no problem. The food (beef, pizza, and pasta) was delicious, and the recommended dessert rounded everything off perfectly.

22/10/2025: We recently went for lunch. The food was excellent, with well-prepared dishes, though not abundant. The restaurant is located inside a garden that sells plants and flowers. Peace and quiet abound, and the air is fresh. The staff is friendly and well-trained. Thanks to Nicole for her general knowledge of the area, and to Angelo for his friendliness and prompt service. The prices aren't particularly low, but are average for a good restaurant. The menu changes based on seasonal produce. I highly recommend it.

03/09/2025: You can't see the lake, even with a telescope. It's a hole, and the prices are very high for the quality/price ratio. I'll never eat there again. 3 main courses and half a glass of wine cost €151. They take advantage of foreigners. Thieves.

27/03/2026: Terrible evening. We arrived at 9 and were asked to wait a few minutes. The staff ignored us and seated other tables that had arrived after us. The staff service was beyond reproach.

The girl managing the lido bar apologized and offered us a pizza or some other simple dish there. The worst part was that at 1:27 PM I received an email from Quandoo (the website that handles reservations) with the following content: They informed us that you didn't show up. The website says it's open, so I tried calling for more information, but no response. I won't add anything else! Disappointed and angry, we went looking for a restaurant nearby. And luckily, we found a beautiful place right on the lakeside. COVO NORD OVEST Piazza Garibaldi 24 23864 Malgrate (LC) Nice, good service/food, and good value.

02/09/2025: Very nice family hotel, clean and big rooms, breakfast is also served in the morning. The owners are very kind and caring!

24/08/2025: We had a wonderful stay at Locanda del Mel. The welcome was particularly warm: the owners who welcomed us were very friendly, pleasant, and always available. The junior suite was spacious, comfortable, and decorated in a charming contemporary style. Another positive aspect was the secure parking, which provided real peace of mind. The only downside: the breakfast lacked a little variety, especially for travelers from France who are accustomed to more choice. That said, the overall experience remains very positive, and we recommend this establishment.

07/09/2025: For a bakery, they run out of everything, and what's more, everything they offer seems like it was made days ago. I couldn't swallow it unless I dipped it in my coffee. They seem a little overwhelmed by the number of people. I think there are better places for breakfast... A bit disappointing. The coffee was okay.

06/04/2026: Easter Monday with a surprise... Quiet atmosphere, classic kebab pizzeria. We're passing by and see the menu displayed: Margherita + drink 7 euros Kebab + drink 7 euros Pizza of your choice + drink 9 euros We go in and order a pizza, a kebab, and two cans of Coke + two coffees. For the record, the food is decent for a quick stop. We go to pay, and they give us the bill without the menu. I ask for an explanation and they tell me that the menu isn't applied on Easter Monday. I pay the extra 3-4 euros, go out to see if it says on the menu that it doesn't apply on holidays, and I no longer see the menu with the "promotions" displayed. Communication error? Maybe, but in the end it's always the customer who loses... nobody gets rich, but when I point out that you don't apply the menu price to me, you can have a doubt... since it's the first time you've seen me... right?
