08/06/2025: Hotel located a few minutes from the Brugnato toll booth, all the rooms have names of painters! Spacious and very comfortable, clean and located in a beautiful garden where you can enjoy a pleasant tranquility! The only downside was dinner, poor choice of menu! Very friendly and kind staff!

05/06/2025: Hotel in a perfect location to visit the 5 lands by motorbike. It also has a shed, where you can keep your motorbikes covered. Very clean room and bathroom. Abundant and quality breakfast. Excellent service and Loredana (the owner) is a welcoming person. She gave us all the information we needed. Excellent for a 3 star. Pleasant stay.

16/06/2025: Worst pizza I've ever eaten, absolutely not recommended. The only thing you could taste while eating it was the oil. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!

18/05/2025: We stopped to eat something quick.. We sit down, read the menu and already from there... half a bottle of water €1.. a liter €2.50.. we asked for explanations and were told that it was a mistake.. There wasn't much choice on the menu.. but never mind.. we decide to order a sort of fried dumpling (I don't remember the name) with cold cuts.. the cold cuts were nothing special.. and the hamburger.. the hamburger was also asked for the cooking.. but it was obvious that it was a defrosted hamburger.. a horrible taste. We look around.. full of cobwebs as if it were Halloween.. let's say that they must concern a few things... Normal prices

27/04/2025: We found it by chance and we're glad we came. It was wonderful and very delicious. I definitely recommend it. Everything we ordered was delicious. It is run by very friendly and helpful people.

19/06/2025: I can not recommend The Grand Hotel Portovenere enough. From the moment we checked in the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. When I walked into the room my jaw dropped. I could lay on the bed and stare at the beautiful see right out of the hotel room window. Whenever we needed any advice on anything we went to the lobby and the staff at the desk were always so very helpful. They were very friendly and full of great advice and bent over backwards to make sure we had our needs taken care of. We were even treated to a few surprise gifts during our stay. The restaurant and enoteca at the hotel are fantastic. Truly great food with outstanding views of the sea and a wait staff that made the experience even better. Breakfasts in the same spot were truly enjoyable as well. I will always recommend Portovenere to anybody I know traveling to Italy as a must-stay place. And I will always recommend The Grand Hotel Portovenere to anybody I know going to Portovenere as a must- stay at hotel! A truly wonderful experience!

12/06/2025: we recently stayed at this hotel and were overwhelmed by the extremely high level of service provided to us by all the staff we encountered. From restaurant recommendations to assisting us with filing a police report due to a stolen bag on the train, to quickly responding to any requests we had, the staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. Location is ideal with great sea views, easy access to the ferries, and everything else in this quaint and friendly village. Definitely recommend staying here if you go to Portevenere.

26/04/2025: We bought a spectacular pesto from them to take away and a Ligurian rabbit which was a delight!!! Compliments!!! Try it to believe it! The next time we return to Liguria it will certainly be a must to come to you.

25/04/2025: Posto marinaro autentico in paese a Cadimare. Ci siamo andati prenotando perchè conosciuto da anni da amici che lavoravano in un diving li vicino. Beh qualità assoluta, antipasti di mare caldi e freddi al top. Primi anche ma soprattutto una catalana buonissima. Personale gentilissimo e tempi di attesa ridotti al minimo. Straconsigliato.

19/06/2025: What can I say, we had little hope but, I tell you that if you are in these parts you have to come and try the pizzas, they are DELICIOUS, you can see on the other tables that the first courses were also beautiful. A beautiful surprise. Definitely worth returning.

11/06/2025: I stopped by for an aperitif and was really satisfied! Well-prepared drinks and abundant, quality appetizers. All served in a beautiful, well-kept garden, ideal for relaxing outdoors on nice days. The atmosphere is quiet and welcoming, the staff is always smiling and helpful. A perfect spot in Castiglione Vara to enjoy an aperitif in company. Highly recommended!

13/06/2025: Spectacular hotel, dream location. Large swimming pool available to guests surrounded by a garden excellently cared for by the owner. Room for 4 very large and extremely clean and comfortable. Comfortable beds and very quiet environment. Restaurant for guests only with a well-designed menu and very high quality in the products chosen and in the preparation, with abundant portions. Rich breakfast also in this case with homemade products. Private parking. In short, a truly positive experience, strategic location! Thank you very much, we will be back!

20/05/2025: It's a very nice, small hotel with a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. The people are very friendly and helpful. It has a very nice and clean pool where you can relax. Overall, the complex is simply beautiful. A small breakfast is served in the morning. There's also a restaurant where you can have dinner, although I didn't try it. The rooms are very nice and very clean. Thank you for the time I spent here; I felt very comfortable, and all the best!
