15/02/2025: Impeccable staff. Gessica is very kind, helpful, and friendly. The dishes are different from the classic Italian all-you-can-eat sushi. The gunkan soy spicy tuna is excellent. The atmosphere is clean and informal, and the service is fast. Highly recommended!

08/09/2025: Artisanal gelato shop (also a café), truly top-quality. The gelato is delicious and the staff is incredibly friendly, especially the blonde girl who served me. She was so sweet, she even chatted with me! Their outdoor seating area overlooking the square is also very nice. I'm from Modena, but now I know which gelato shop to return to every time I'm in the area!

03/01/2026: A simple takeout pizzeria, but with a great space for indoor dining in the winter and outdoor seating in the summer. Inside, they offer a wide selection of pizzas and a few other items. The staff is friendly, and the pizza is thin-crust. The four stars are for a "takeout pizzeria," not a restaurant.

21/11/2025: Tasty and easy-to-digest dough, flavorful tomatoes, and congratulations on the 360-degree attention to detail. For a takeout pizzeria, it still has a spacious, very comfortable, and clean seating area. Fantastic value for money.

18/01/2026: A beautiful restaurant in Portovenere, overlooking the sea and the snow-capped mountains of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. We went in to enjoy some fried fish (it must be very fresh, given the restaurant's location, I thought). I read the menu and saw an asterisk (😳). I asked the waiter for clarification, and he confirmed that the product was frozen!!! We left the restaurant with two good-quality pizzas. A seagull with its wings tied!!!!

05/01/2026: A day in Sarzana 2: For a pre-dinner aperitif (see Le Officine del Cibo), this cocktail bar is perfect. I love it when wines are carefully and expertly selected and presented. The cocktails are very original. Then it's only right to award 5 stars because San Giorgio excels in what it promises.

04/01/2026: We ate at the pizzeria yesterday and had made a reservation in advance. Despite this, it took 20 minutes just to have our order taken. The service staff seemed very unmotivated and unhelpful, which significantly marred our first impression. We ordered different pizzas, and unfortunately, all of them were disappointing. Given the restaurant's claim to international titles, trophies in the window, and self-promotion as a top-tier restaurant, I had expected a much higher quality. I live in Austria, only about 15 minutes from Italy, and am used to very good pizza, so my disappointment with what was served here was all the greater. The dough tasted stale and dry and was practically unseasoned, the tomato sauce was tasteless, and the mozzarella had almost no flavor of its own. My calzone was simply not good. A friend ordered a meat pizza, which tasted noticeably bad, and about 20 minutes after eating, he even vomited, suggesting that the meat was no longer safe to eat. This is particularly problematic and unacceptable from our perspective. On top of that, the wait was extremely long. We were stuck for a total of one and a half hours until everything was ready, about an hour of which was spent waiting for the food. This is completely disproportionate to the quality of the food. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. Neither the service, nor the quality, nor the value for money justifies the existing hype. Titles, trophies, and self-praise are no substitute for good pizza and attentive service. If I could give even fewer stars, I would…

27/10/2025: Ely has been our "pizza night" place for years and we really enjoy it. Occasionally we have other things and this year we had one of their pasta daily specials, a ravioli perhaps with truffle and burrata (sorry it was 1 1/2 months ago)……omg, it was so amazing. Though it is no longer on the menu, we also appreciated them making the mussels in white wine and lemon.
