21/04/2026: Insulting disrespectfull owner and staff. They threw us out very disrespectfully just for playing billiard and not buying beer. Even though we pay for billiard. Worst experience ever.

10/04/2026: The ambience, the owner, the waiters, the service, everything was excellent! A historic and expensive place! What more could you want?

18/10/2025: The positives are the parking, the location, which is relatively close to the center, the comfortable pool, although the loungers are limited due to space constraints, and the owner's kindness, who personally supervised the preparations for the pool's opening, was appreciated.

17/10/2025: A very nice hotel, reminiscent of a former palace that has now become a 4-star hotel. I really enjoyed experiencing the character of this hotel. When you go to breakfast, you'll see display cases with souvenirs and trophies from the era, which take you back years to the glory days of San Remo. The room had a magnificent sea view on the 5th floor. Thank you to the hotel for placing us here. My partner was thrilled. The room was very large, you didn't feel cramped, especially for a standard room. The breakfast was very generous and very good. Nothing to say about that. We couldn't enjoy the pool because we came in October, maybe next time.

01/05/2026: I've been living here for a year, and believe me, for Liguria, besides having an excellent coffee shop, you can find everything you could possibly need, a tobacconist, and everything else. Both the owners and the staff are spectacular, something you can't say anywhere else. Check it out, I highly recommend it. A top-notch for me!

21/12/2025: A campsite with excellent facilities, but poorly managed. Camper pitches are too small, and bathrooms don't appear clean. The fact that you can cross the road and immediately get to the Fiori cycle path is a great thing.

18/11/2025: Small campsite with difficult access, especially for large motorhomes, but this is compensated for by the friendliness of the managers.

26/03/2026: I booked a central table over the phone because a historic figure was coming to sing, for dinner, and after dinner. We chose after dinner, when the show was starting! We charged the money by credit card and received a confirmation email with the times—clearly 11:00 PM/11:30 PM—the number of people, and all the information. We showed up at 11:10 PM. The very kind bouncers called us a clean-shaven man who first said there was no table, then said it was too early anyway, and we should have left after 12:30 AM, and ran off. The bouncers very kindly called him back, and at the same time the girl I had spoken to and made the reservation also came over, I think the manager. She apologized, said the table wasn't ready yet, and they'd even gotten the name wrong, but she seated us at the beautiful fireplace bar of the former Hotel Europa, now Hotel Eight! We ordered a drink, and shortly thereafter they called us to say the table was ready, and we began the evening, which would last until closing time. I've been coming to Cortina and VIP for decades. I'd like to compliment all the staff—the bouncers, manager, bartender, coat check, waitresses, and waiters, as well as the musicians and singers—who made it possible to recover from a very awkward, disorganized, and inadequate start, given the location, clientele, and price!

19/05/2026: Really drastic experience, unhygienic, in fact not at all, I found some hairs (I don't know what, better not to know about perhaps), really bad, plus I called to warn them of the fact and they were also very rude.!

26/04/2026: I stopped for a quick break while wandering around the city. The coffee was excellent. The lady cleaned the filter and let the water run before proceeding with the extraction. Recommended

The location is calming, relaxing, warm, and welcoming: the atmosphere makes you feel instantly at home and invites you to unwind. The service is impeccable, with friendly and always available staff, who put you at ease with their professionalism and smiles. The desserts are truly delicious, with a wide selection to satisfy every taste. A place you'll always want to return to!

29/11/2025: I'm going to get a ginseng with my boyfriend (I go there sometimes, since it's close to my house), so I'm not exactly a stranger. The reason I go there is because I like Natfood ginseng... given that the machine was on, my boyfriend and I chatted for a moment and didn't realize that they make the ginseng in capsules, which was also disgusting and dark and bitter. We asked her about it, and she told us that the sales rep was on vacation so she didn't have any Natfood. We took a half sip and left it all alone because it was disgusting to say the least. Instead of apologizing because she should have told us anyway, she was right again by charging us for the ginseng... I repeat, a full cup... congratulations, you lost 2 customers! For 3 euros!

29/06/2026: We booked inside after two phone calls to confirm there was air conditioning (which was found broken)!!! It was infernally hot, then we were immediately served prosecco without an ice bucket, and the food still hadn't arrived. So we drank it hot!!! The rostelle finally arrived... wrong because we specified liver and the others arrived.... the price means we ended up paying for the ones we returned because there wasn't even a receipt!! My fault for not asking!!

16/06/2026: Cold, tasteless panini, croque monsieur drowning in barely edible béchamel sauce, tourist trap, once is enough

24/07/2026: I ordered a McFlurry and only half of it arrived, and it even looked eaten. And even though I pointed this out to the clerk, she didn't fix the damage.

23/07/2026: It's like going back five years: poorly made sandwiches, cold, and meat that's black from overcooking. Fries are flimsy and scant. Crispy onions that you need a microscope to find. And if you want to go to the bathroom, you have to go up two floors to find out you need the code they give you at the cashier. In other parts of Italy, the situation has improved a lot, but here there's a lot to improve. I forgot, I also spent over €30 for two menus.

30/12/2025: A restaurant in the center of Sanremo, easy to get to, with a nice atmosphere, good pizzas, and fast service.

08/10/2025: We were on a Just Go packaged tour to Hotel Kristall, Diano Marina. A couple of staff were helpful and good.Evening drinks and were also included, BUT restricted as mentioned below: 1)Food was very mediocre, some days was acceptable while others was mostly rubbish as far as the main course was concerned. The boiled eggs at breakfast were heavily overboiled resulting the yolk exterior being dark grey and both yolk and white very dried out. I found an insect in my cereal one day so was off it after that. On the second last day somebody had a live cockroach in their salad. So a few of us decided to go out for dinner the next evening. One chicken dish was uncooked , the insides being pink. The main courses were always cold. Coffee machine always churned out luke warm coffee no matter what was chosen. Dinner was over a period on 90 minutes as a minimum. Pure time wasting : 20 minutes wait for starters, 15 minutes for mains and 10 minutes for dessert, presumably to give less time at the free bar!!! 2)When the hotel was up to capacity the hot water in the mornings was just about lukewarm. 3)The red and white wine served during dinner was diluted with some sparking water making it a sort of spritzer with a weird taste. The red wine was chilled, not at room temperature-- who does that?? 4)The open bar timings were 7 to 10 pm. Some of us wanted to have a quick beer at 7 pm but instead we were told to go in for dinner first or nobody was at the bar. 5)The swimming pool had a couple of rats around, need I say more??? 6)The air conditioning was switched off so the rooms were stuffy. Keeping the balcony door open led to insects coming in. 7)The bath screen seal was poor resulting in water flowing down to a very slippery tiled floor. 8)The cupboard and drawers were sticky and ready to fall apart if one was not careful.

22/09/2025: Cute hotel with clean rooms. A bit dated, but okay. Only about 50 meters from the pebble beach.
