24/05/2026: A very warm welcome, good food, super friendly service, and a truly unique location...right on the pebble beach...beautiful spot...prices displayed on the chalkboard and reasonable; we don't understand the negative reviews that have been left. In short, we loved it and we'll be back!

27/06/2026: The cashier's behavior was deplorable; she was clearly racist towards the French. She didn't even speak to us or look at us when handing us our receipt, even though we said hello, thank you, goodbye, and have a nice day in Italian. I work in a shop in a very touristy town, and I know it's not always easy. But I find such behavior unacceptable, showing a serious lack of intelligence and professionalism. I'd still go back, though, because: 1/ the shop is pleasant and well-stocked with fresh produce. 2/ just to annoy that cashier. ...🤪

10/06/2026: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A very good experience at Mercatò Local. The store is new, clean, and very well-maintained, making shopping pleasant from the moment you walk in. The shelves are well-stocked with plenty of choice and regular promotions that often allow you to find great deals. I particularly appreciate the fruit and vegetable section, which offers fresh and mostly local produce, depending on the season. You can feel a real commitment to highlighting regional Italian products, with generally very good quality. The prices are also attractive and often lower than in France, even without promotions, which is a real plus for many everyday items. However, let's be honest: if you're only making the trip to do your shopping from Monaco or France, between the highway tolls and gas, it's not necessarily cost-effective. However, if you're taking a day trip to Italy or just passing through the area, it's definitely worth shopping there. In short, a modern, pleasant, and well-organized store that I readily recommend to anyone visiting Ventimiglia and Vallecrosia.

07/12/2025: I had a good impression of this place. I was robbed, I paid €6 for the shower and they turned off the water. And they didn't give me my money back. Shameful. Shameful, I've been coming here for 31 years. This is not the Italy I know!

08/01/2026: FROZEN pizza for €8. The fries weren't really fries, but they added raw fries to the pizza since there wasn't a German pizza on the menu. The two stars are honestly a gift.

20/12/2025: I'm usually very sparing with my reviews, but this time I'd like to say a little more. I stumbled upon Dolciaria BB by pure chance, looking for bread, and that's where I wanted to start because I found it really good (which you might not expect from a company specializing in sweets). So much so, that I decided to try the various shapes, with a special mention for the walnut one—a must-try! So, captivated by the taste and indulgence, I also tried the pastries, but for now, only the dry ones, and what can I say... nothing to complain about! Especially the ones with almond paste! Intrigued, I tried the panettone, and that was the pinnacle of pleasure! I got an excellent traditional one and a pistachio one, which I found truly delicious—an excellent leavened product and a generous filling! An excellent raw material for an exceptional product! CONGRATULATIONS!!

10/03/2026: During a work break, we rushed to the historic Pasticceria Baudino, and it was definitely worth it. A welcoming and authentic atmosphere, with high-quality artisanal desserts. The famous Baci di Sanremo are a must-try; they're so delicious, I even stocked up on some to take back to Rome. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Excellent value for money.

22/02/2026: I contacted this pastry shop to order a MILLE-FOGLIE for 15 people, for my birthday party. Unfortunately, when it was time to say "Happy Birthday," they brought a sponge cake and cream base, significantly smaller than requested, and not suitable for 15 people. Even more surprising was the decoration: blue flowers and hearts with the words "Happy Birthday Giorgio!"—not only a different cake but also a different name, clearly intended for a child. The mistake created a clear moment of embarrassment, but worse, it wasn't large enough, nor did it suit my taste. I understand that mix-ups can happen, but in this case, it was a double mistake (type, size, and customization) on a central element of the party. I hope more attention is paid to personalized orders, especially when related to important occasions. Greater attention to detail and a final check before delivery would avoid similar situations in the future.

13/04/2026: Just an ice cream shop. A " Gelateria". Good ice cream shop and good service

11/03/2026: I ordered a cup of hazelnut, strawberry, and cream gelato, and a cup of hazelnut, chocolate, and cream gelato. While eating the gelato, I noticed a strange, unpleasant taste, nauseating for me. At the counter, I asked if they were sure they'd served me hazelnut, and the waitress smiled and said, "Oh, maybe it was peanut with caramel." I pointed out that I don't like those flavors (I actually feel sick with peanut, and in fact, I felt sick as soon as I left), and she, still smiling, made me pay the bill and then asked me if I wanted a teaspoon of hazelnut to wash the bad taste out of my mouth. Really rude and unkind. And thank goodness I wasn't allergic to peanuts, otherwise... in total, almost 7 euros for two cups, both with peanuts instead of hazelnuts, and they didn't even take responsibility for their mistake. In fact, from the promptness of their response, I almost got the feeling that they'd deliberately foisted it on me, perhaps to consume a product I didn't like. I absolutely do not recommend.
