15/08/2025: We came for lunch on Ferragosto, and everything was delicious. We'd been wanting to try this place for a long time, after a friend recommended it to us. We finally got around to it, and it truly turned out to be an excellent restaurant. The food was excellent and plentiful, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and you felt right at home. Highly recommended. I hope to return soon.

You can choose from a variety of coffees for each drink, with friendly recommendations from the owners. The homemade pastries and cookies are absolutely fantastic! All in a super welcoming atmosphere, highly recommended!

05/08/2025: Fatto con lamore. That's the motto of this small, charming café. The best cappuccino in Liguria and the friendliest, most heartfelt owner. We already miss it and will be back.

17/07/2025: Lovely restaurant with delicious food. There weren't many vegetarian options, but the ones that were available were delicious! The mandilli with pesto was especially delicious! The wine was also excellent and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit.

10/09/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and I must say I was thoroughly satisfied. I'd never eaten panigacci before, so I tried them both boiled and baked. They were spectacular! I left feeling full and happy with my choice. I'll definitely be back, highly recommended!

02/09/2025: Good, typical local food. The atmosphere is noisy, and given the crowd, you might leave feeling a bit dizzy. The service does its best, but the wait can be long because it's crowded.

10/08/2025: A super cozy terrace with a beautiful view over Genoa. Friendly staff, good wine, and a delicious appetizer platter! We definitely recommend it and would love to come back again when we're in the area.

06/08/2025: Mixed feelings. We both enjoyed this little street bistro with a breathtaking view of Genoa, and yet that's the problem. The place is somewhere between a pleasant neighborhood bar where they serve you a "house" beer (which remains to be proven) and a tourist shop that cuts its bills based on the customer's wishes... We're still pondering this, and for now, we say: go there, but don't go there.

10/08/2025: The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The tuna was seared and not overcooked, so it was tender. The Ligurian-style octopus was truly Ligurian-style, with the octopus being so tender it was easy to eat.

21/07/2025: Unfortunately disappointing – no longer recommended We enjoyed being guests at Buena Vita in Cipressa in the past – the location, the view, and the relaxed atmosphere had a special appeal. However, since the introduction of the new rules, the character of this bar has unfortunately changed fundamentally – and not for the better. From now on, after 5:00 PM, aperitivos are only permitted at the seats opposite the restaurant – i.e., where there is a small playground and children are playing. The set tables directly in front of the restaurant are no longer allowed to be used, as they are apparently reserved exclusively for evening business. Even if many tables are empty, sitting there is not permitted – even for a quick aperitif without food. This is communicated in a very unfriendly and inflexible manner. The once charming Italian flair has thus been completely lost. Instead of the well-known Italian hospitality, one now encounters an atmosphere full of rules, restrictions, and little consideration. The service was uncooperative, barely attentive, and lacked any warmth. Especially in a small town like Cipressa, you expect authenticity, openness, and a sense of "welcome" – all of this is completely lacking these days. Unfortunately, under these circumstances, we can no longer recommend Buena Vita. It's a real shame about a once beautiful place.
