26/01/2025: The place is small, 3 with a beautiful atmosphere. The beautiful and fun swing seats. Amazing philological starter, perhaps due to the grilled octopus an accompanying sword was missing. On the other hand, nigiri sake and uranaki were a bit disappointing. Still worth coming back!

07/02/2025: First time at Divan Japonais at Max's! Well what can I say, I was really satisfied with this place with its welcoming and slightly retro atmosphere. As soon as we sat down we were greeted with some delicious olives flavored with spices, if I'm not mistaken some chips and a glass of aniseed water, I must say very simple but not at all obvious, very refreshing. The quantity of alcohol available, and their quality amazed me a lot. The menu offers a lot of choice, and the cocktails are really good, with a refined flavour. Personally I think it's brilliant to accompany the cocktail with a cruet that allows you to refill the glass. Highly recommended for those who love drinking quality cocktails at fair prices!!!! I will definitely be back!!!!!!

18/03/2025: Ci siamo stati per un pranzo con amici. All’entrata sembra un bar invece poi fuori c’è la pergotenda coi tavoli. Il servizio é buono da parte del ragazzo…invece la signora ci lasciava i piatti ai lati del tavolo e se ne andava. Buoni i primi ma non mi hanno entusiasmato.

I was there for a quick lunch and I took the dish of the day, without even looking at the menu and so this is a preliminary review. I intend to return calmly for dinner and then do a more in-depth review. Meanwhile, the judgement, even if preliminary, is certainly positive. The place is welcoming and the dishes we tried were very good. The courteous and "familiar" service seemed to me to be in tune with the environment and with the customers, who also seemed to be made up of regulars. For now I give it a good 4, all deserved. Then we'll see if we can bring it to 5 with dinner.
