07/04/2025: The Contarini Pizzeria Restaurant is not bad, a place that I have started frequenting again a couple of years ago after some not too flattering previous experiences. We were also there last Sunday for lunch for a birthday party 🥳🎂. The first courses are good (I particularly like the paccheri with scallops and pistachios) as are the fish-based second courses 🐟, but the servings are also generous (my mixed fry 🍤🦐 was practically a course for two people). The service was fair and the rates were generally normal. The place is cute and well furnished, and is also set in the splendid setting of the Villa Contarini in front 🏫. It can be a good solution 👍🏻. Beautiful architecture. I was on a business trip so be careful because the hotel it’s far away from the center of Vicenza.

28/02/2025: Situato in via Palestro, è una vecchia casa con giardino adattata già da qualche anno a ristorante. Ci sono varie sale corrispondenti alle stanze originarie della casa in cui ci sono pochi tavoli (al massimo 3 o 4 ) Si mangia prevalentemente il pesce. Risotto della casa misto al nero di seppia molto deludente, arrivato oltrettutto freddo. Polpo alla catalana discreto ma in porzione PICCOLISSIMA. Buono il dolce, fatto in casa. Buona cantina a prezzi tutto sommato giusti. Il conto ci può stare Da come me lo avevano descritto sono rimasto deluso ma penso gli darò un'altra chance... N.B= I ristoratori devono capire che le porzioni troppo piccole FANNO INDISPETTIRE I CLIENTI. Per risparmiare 4-5 euro rischiano di non far tornare più i clienti!!! Quand'è che se ne renderanno conto?

16/03/2025: Siamo nei pressi di Arquà per lavoro. Attirati dalle recensioni proviamo l'Osteria al Guerriero. Prenotiamo, e ci dicono che c'è posto solo fuori ma che fa molto caldo tanto che si sta in maniche di camicia. Arriviamo all'orario combinato, ma il tavolo non è disponibile. Attendiamo: ci sono 14° con un bel venticello frizzante. La proprietaria ci lascia in piedi ad aspettare accanto a due signori che hanno quasi terminato, e che alla fine - dopo 15 min - mossi a compassione ci lasciano il posto. Intanto altri avventori in attesa vengono incoraggiati dal personale ad accomodarsi sul davanzale delle finestre piano terra di un edificio di fronte. Ci sediamo senza togliere sciarpa e cappotto. Dal menu del giorno, pensando di velocizzare, ordiniamo due primi (gnocchi asparagi e gamberetti) ed un secondo da condividere, due calici di bianco. Ci portano subito acqua e vino: nei calici 1 cm di liquido! La dose corretta a calice ed a menù dovrebbe essere di 150 ml..... Finalmente dopo 40 minuti, riappare la proprietaria con i nostri due primi, svolazzando tra strada e sala interna perché non sa a che tavolo vanno. Ci sbracciamo un po', ed alla fine abbiamo i nostri gnocchi sul tavolo. Solo gnocchi badate bene, perché di gamberetti ce n'è uno solo per piatto. Gli gnocchi sono un po' crudi, ma la fame, l'orario, il freddo hanno compiuto la magia e buttiamo giù tutto con l'acqua, perché il vino - un sorso e via - è già finito nell'attesa. Il secondo tutto sommato va un po' meglio anche se pepatissimo. Sono passate ormai più di due ore: chiediamo il conto ad un cameriere di passaggio, che ci dice che lui non se ne occupa. Proviamo all'interno: facciamo 10 minuti di coda perché un cliente prima di noi vuole la fattura. Quando arriva il nostro turno, la proprietaria ci dice che il conto si fa solo fuori al tavolo: usciamo, ma il nostro tavolo è già preso. Quindi attendiamo in piedi fuori un altro quarto d'ora. A proposito il conto è di € 76..... Che dire.... Non sappiamo se i guerrieri siamo stati noi, oppure se ci vorrà il guerriero per riportarci lì

11/04/2025: I had lunch with beef meatballs in tomato sauce, my colleague had a salad. The meatballs were plentiful and delicious, the salad was exceptional, my colleague was enthusiastic (for a salad!!). I saw the pizzas on other customers' plates and they seemed excellent, with a nice high crust (if you like it high) and cooked just right. The service was very courteous and helpful to the questions and needs we had.
